"Lovely place, nice food, service friendly but poor. This is close to home and well rated so we always want it to be good. We have had excellent meals here since it first opened up as one of the very first Gastro-pubs. The venue is great lovely old pub well kept in old style and typical decor, a few modernisations but nothing to ruin the homely London pub feel. I think the menu needs a bit more variation it tends to be a bit samey. The food is always of a good standard, all credit other chefs who clearly know their stuff. Well cooked classic pub/french cuisine, well proportioned servings. The service isn't up to standard. They are all vey nice and friendly but everytime we go calamity and confusion is minutes away."
