"[ENG] We went there to take a coffee but in the end we had dinner. It is a really beautiful place, with so kind waiters. They put water to our dog and give him some dog food. The menu is attached to old books pages...and everything looked fantastic! I took a salad because I wasn’t so hungry, but I will come back! [ESP] Fuimos a tomar un café pero terminamos cenando. Es un lugar muy bonito con camareros muy amables. Le pusieron un cuenco con agua a nuestro perro y le dieron chuches. El menú está pegado en páginas de libros viejos y todo tenia muy buena pinta! Me tomé una ensalada porque no tenía mucha hambre, pero volveré!"

"Eigentlich lieben wir diese kleinen neuen ideenreichen Restaurants und deshalb waren wir auch neugierig auf das Deli. Ein Tisch wurde reserviert und schon saßen wir um 18.30 Uhr in einem Minirestaurant mit einem großen weiteren Tisch wo bereits 6 Personen verköstigt wurden und noch rechts und links eng gedrängt zwei leeren Tischen. Und da ist schon Problem No. 1. Ich mag keine allzu eng gestellten Tische, wo man zwangsweise das Nachbargespräch mitbekommen muß und dieser einem fast auf dem Schoß sitzt. Der Service war herzlich, die Karte las sich gut bis auf die Dinge, die es nicht mehr gab(um 18.30 Uhr!!) - Problem No.2. Ich konnte gerade noch die letzten Spaghetti ergattern. Problem No. 3 waren die extrem langen Wartezeiten, die trotz der gelungenen, aber teueren Küche den Abend leider nicht versüßten und zum Widerholen einluden. Ebenfalls ist das volle Restaurant sehr laut und mancher mag es nicht allzu quirlig. Fazit: die Küche hat wirklich etwas auf dem Kasten, aber die Umstände werden ihr nicht gerecht. Schade..."

"Nun ja, wir haben alle mal gute, mal schlechte Tage. Die Osteria besuche ich mit Familie und Freunden seit Jahren und in Summe muss man wohl sagen, dies ist der Top- Italiener in Lüneburg. Es gab Phasen, da lief das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis aus dem Ruder, es gab Phasen wo der Wirt die Wortbestandteile von Dienstleistung aus dem Blick verlor.Alles Vergangenheit. Wo mit einem Freund zu einem Quatsch- und Genussabend dort, alles Tip-top. Auf die Nussschale gebracht: derzeit der beste Italiener in Lüneburg."

"this is a really amazing place and one of the best coffee houses I have seen throughout Germany. you can really feel how much thought and passion the owners brought and brought to this place. it was a very special coffee house for me when I visited a little oasis during the summer. everything is delicious and it feels just so much more than just money a real commitment for quality and community. "today we were delicious eating in piccanti, and we were very excited. there are really cozy seating, and a beautiful covered balcony. to eat there was a pizza salami and once a pizza with ham and mushrooms. we start with the floor to this I can only say top, not too thick and not too thick thin exactly right. the was true also ok, of the tomato sauce true enough on it only with the salami was a little bit eaten. on the other pizza actually little ham on it more mushrooms. let's say that the pizzas really delicious only we would have liked to have had more. the pizzas came on a wooden board with a pizza scissors, which is like I find a funny idea and it is practical because you can cut the pizza so in mouth-right slices. unfortunately true of my sheer still dried rest from the last pizza, that is not so delicious but since I didn't use the sheer anyway, it was also no matter what to end. to the drinks I don't have to say much so that the gastronom cashes money deserves, but for that my pizza is really cheap for 8.90 euro. Conclusion: it really nice with you and the pizzas really delicious."

"Wir waren zu einem frühen Abendessen da und sind vollkommen satt und zufrieden nach draußen"gerollt"! Für Menschen, die keinen Trubel mögen, ist diese Zeit zu empfehlen. Es ist ein unglaublich tolles PreisLeistungs-Verhältnis, es gibt eine große Auswahl an Gerichten. Alles war heiß und frisch zubereitet. Die Bedienung war freundlich und das Lokal ist liebevoll und urig eingerichtet. Schade nur, dass man dort nicht auch zum Mittag essen kann. Das einzige, was ein wenig stört, ist die unübersichtliche Karte und die jazzlastige Fahrstuhlmusik. wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!"

"I'm not scared! we had a table reserved for 3 people by phone. When we arrived at the restaurant, a group of 3 people came shortly before us, which apparently had not reserved. the group received a generous table. we called our reservation and were allowed to stay in the guest room for some time. while we were waiting, we noticed that another table was free for 4 people and a 2 table. after much serrated from the references, another chair was placed on the table in the middle of the local and we asked to this table. to my note that I did not intend to sit on the catastrophe (we already had a seat since we had already reserved days ago, the reference only explained that this was the only table she had. we could now take or go again and in 15 to 20 minutes try if there is another table. My demand for us to have got the bigger table if we had come before the group we just appeared before us, replied: this is too late now. I can't do this now. We left it locally and eat it very well there. the italia is eaten for us and removed from our menu."

"Wir wollten unbedingt Spargel essen und entschieden uns für dieses Restaurant. Die Preise sind recht hoch, aber für gutes Essen sind wir bereit mehr auszugeben. Leider wurden wir enttäuscht. Der Spargel war viel zu weich, also verkocht. Das Schnitzel als Beilage ist tiefgekühlt und ging einfach in die Fritteuse und war aus Schwein. Eine Frechheit dafür so viel Geld zu verlangen. Entsprechend hat es geschmeckt. Sehr schade ums Geld! Offensichtlich will man hier einfach die Touristen abgreifen, die eh nicht wiederkommen. 2 Sterne gibt's für das kalte Getränk und die Sonne die wenigen Plätze draußen vor dem Lokal küsste.Das nächste Mal gehts lieber zur McDonald's 30 Meter entfernt."

"Well located restaurant with excellent food. However, our dinner was ruined by the staff. My wife and I both ordered pasta as the main course with an antipasta platter to share as a starter. To this we ordered beer and my wife asked for a...glass of red wine to be served with the pasta. After a long wait, my wife got her pasta and the plate with assorted antipasti was placed in front of me. My pasta order was lost If we hadn't been starving for food we obviously would have sent out the pasta told the staff to serve the two main courses at the same time, instead we asked them to hurry with my pasta. It took several requests to get my wife's wine (she had by then finished her food) and after another long wait, I got my pasta. Did we get any excuses? No, not in the slightest. The girl that took our order stayed out of sight and others were waiting at our table. Our compliments to the chef, though, the food was excellent."

"The pizzas we had were ... well .. okay. But this restaurant needs clearly new knifes or we got the worst set of them. I had to press my way through the pizza instead of cutting then. At least my finger felt this way afterwards. BTW: Again ... the problem with the trip advisor rating "there is no good". The restaurant is better than the rating i choose because it's closer to this rating, but it's not "very good" ... it's good."

"Ideally located in Lüneburg near the historic crane and mill district. But that's only the beginning. You want to discover the best Northwest German cuisine? This is the place. Giesbert (the owner) welcomes customers and offers top-notch advice. The cuisine is varied and careful care...to detail describes the entire experience. Do try the local trout as entrée (Forelle in German), absolutely delicious. Also make sure you try the lamb that is emblematic of the immediate region (Heideschmucke in German), an absolute must. Then you can graduate to some serious stuff for the main course. The possibilities are numerous, and everything is delicious, whether fish- or pork- or beef-based. The abundant (and yummy) vegetables servings are also most welcome. You can finish off the entire banquet with a local spirit, called Heidegeist. Heavenly. Didn't get to try the desserts (for lack of inner space) but the selection was very enticing. Now, would you expect to pay an arm and a leg for all this extravaganza? You'd be wrong. All of the above can be had (for two persons) for about 80 euros. Ah yes, the service is also friendly and professional. Will most definitely return."

"Wir waren bisher schon einige Male dort Gyros holen. Leider ist es ein bisschen chaotisch dort - Bestellung wird nicht aufgeschrieben. Daher läuft manchmal nicht alles glatt bzw. man wird mehrmals gefragt was man wollte.Nun haben wir zum ersten Mal etwas anderes als Gyros gegessen und was soll ich sagen... es war ein Fehler. Während das Souflaki noch ok war waren die Suzukis ungenießbar (Konsistenz und Geschmack!)Sehr schade. Also in Zukunft nur noch Gyros/Pommes!"

"Buddha is a very nice restaurant in the centre of Lüneburg. There is a vegetarian section on the menu that has several choices, but all contain fish sauce. The allergens are indicated, so fortunately we saw this. We asked if it could be left out, and the staff explained that every dish could be veganized except the red curry. Because I initially had wanted to order the red curry, the staff proposed to prepare a veggie curry with massaman curry paste, a bit like a cross over between the two dishes. It tasted very well! My husband had the Pat Pak Sichuan and liked it a lot, too. The meals were filling and very fresh. The staff were welcoming and the atmosphere is nice as well. We recommend a visit here but as said above, you should ask about the fish sauce. Update: We went again and I had the peanut sauce dish, very good as well! Last visit in December 2023 Updated from previous review on 2022 12 25"

"wonderfully outdoors in the middle of the water district of lüneburgs and the oldest pub in the city. service forces usually absolutely in order and good mood. "Despite only being a table of two persons and arriving before 7pm, we could only just be accommodated in a small room on the third floor (dining is also possible in various rooms of the ground floor, first floor and cellar as well as the biergarten. The menu card contained many classic German dishes and I particularly enjoyed the cream of potato soup for starter with a good solid, sausage and sauerkraut dish for main course. The food was well cooked and promptly served in spite of it being very busy with a mix of large and small groups dining. My rating would have been 4/5 but for the fact that they run out of one of their own brews that I had wanted to try but overlooking that, a solid 4/5 dining experience."

"Das Schallander in Lüneburg ist ein Restaurant/Café mit gemütlicher Kneipenatmosphäre. Die Einrichtung ist etwas alt, aber sehr urig - man fühlt sich hier sofort wohl. Es gibt einen kleinen Raucherraum mit großem Fernseher, auf dem Sport lief. Da der Raucherraum vom restlichen Raum durch eine große Glasscheibe getrennt war, konnte man den Fernseher auch von einigen der Sitzplätze sehen.Die Karte bietet eine kleine Auswahl verschiedener Speisen - da ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Ich hatte die Tomatensuppe, die ganz offensichtlich frisch gemacht war und sehr gut schmeckte. Auch die Schafskäsetaschen waren empfehlenswert. Die Portionen waren sehr ordentlich, die Preise günstig. Auch bei den Getränken gab es eine gute Auswahl - besonders gut fand ich die Lüneburger Faßbrause. Auch die Getränke waren günstig. Das Schallander ist ideal, wenn man einfach nur essen will und es nicht "schick" sein muß, sondern man einfach nur gutes Essen zu soliden Preisen will. Auch für Abende mit Freunden ist es super.Das Personal war sehr nett, der Service sehr schnell.Zusammenfassend: bei meinem nächsten Besuch in Lüneburg werde ich sicher wieder hier essen gehen !"
