"After a very long time we had to go to Sushi again. We still knew Kaoru, but in the old premises in Q, hidden behind a passage. The Pizzeria Caravella 4 weeks ago, our last visit on site, super delicious pizza from the stone oven!! He was really good. Pizzas in Pizzeria Caravella are also very good. The floors are super thin normal I like them somewhat thicker, are baked in sizes 26 29 33 40 cm diameter. On the pizza was Peperoni salami, fresh mushrooms, ham boiled, salami plus extra chili. "Last night I noticed that I still had photos of the last 5 visits in the old Simpl on my phone. After reviewing the last criticism here at GG of my smallness, it takes a small update from my site, I try to write the last 3 4 visits to an update review. Here you are greeted at the door and brought to the table. These are standards in Alten Simpl, also known from Greek restaurants. The two gentlemen in service are always very nice and attentive, my wife thinks that she knew when she went to the Mannheimer Lokale about 30 years ago with her grandmother. The guys always have a funny magic and work professional, even in strong operation. They are made by the black-haired good-looking operation (formerly in the roof garden), she understands her craftsmanship, likewise always makes funny sayings and gives the guest the most important feeling to be simply welcome. Apparently, everything is very good here. The restaurant was, as mentioned above (among other things many hotel guests) almost completely full of all three visits, certainly the new atmosphere also plays an important role. All cozy, with campfires on the LCD, small niches, but also very comfortable places on the counter – which are also very widespread Last summer, the old Simpl General renovated, many old wood had to go out, and the sanitary facilities were finally planted. Also the diligently somewhat bright lights over the tables had to soften modern light bulbs (where one can see such an illuminated wire above). We are sitting outside today, under big oaks and watching the drift in the squares. I order a thirst of beer first. The 0.4 yeast (3,20) went down with a big swallow. Man, I got a train on it. What speaks for the old Simpl is and was also confirmed by the esteemed critics Turbo, Peperoni: there are many different beers, all from the barrel. The second was a dark yeast, the third, then the beer of the devil with a light smoke note. "Update: food still 5/5 I got to try the breakfast setup (the Paris one), very nice! Salmon was my fav, and then the small portions but abundance choices would fill you up in the end. The other thing i tried was their autumn specials. A pumpkin aperitif was okay. But the pumpkin flammkuchen was amazing. My friend also got the rouladen and said it was one of the best meal he had. Food:5/5 I ordered the lasagna bolognese (got myself a box of salad since it was a lunch time promo) and a slice of Frankfurt crown cake. The lasagna was superb, i liked it. Good portion, meaty bolognese, consistency of the the tomato as well as the bechamel sauce was great, and on the bottom there was this crusty layer, i would guess it involved some cheesy layer wow, me likey. The Frankfurt crown cake was great, at first i thought it was too sweet but not really when you got the jam layer, it was pretty well balance. The buttercream was light, and the nut layer was great. Will try for other menu later in the future. Service: 5/5 It was quick and to the point. I can see that they were quite busy, despite the pandemic situation, which was a good signal for them. On my visit, there was a lady who seemed to be a regular and the staffs were greeting her politely, super nice. I tried to make an order in german but maybe my german was unrecognizable that the owner just switched to english but i think the positive side is that the foreigners can rest assured they can converse in english easily here."
