"we reserved the restaurant in our second night in the hotel and found a lot of fun. after a cocktail in the bar we were warmly welcomed to our table. the printed menu presented two alternatives, one with 7, and the other with 5. but if we asked, it could choose what we wanted from the menu, and accept that the bill reflects these changes. my man wanted three things, and I took five, but not all of the star elections. everything we took was excellent. my man tried the bisque with lobster and sweet, the pan-seared foie gras and the souffle. I chose the artichoke heart with black feet, clogged foie grass, deenbrust, salat with arugula and pecorino cheese with truffles and the coffee and chocolate parrot. of course we shared. the hummerbisque was fantastic, only a wonderful combination of the sweetvelout and the tender lobster. but the artichoke with boar was also fabulous with a fantastic combination of aromen and textures. as we both had the grilled foie gras, I can only say that it was just perfect with a beautifully grilled outside and soft interieur prepared. my duck breast was good with excellent little sweet, and the salat with truffled pecorino was excellent--just wanted more cheese!. and our desserts were both great. the service was both with the maid d' as well as with the younger staff who took part in everyone needed, error-free, and I can only congratulate the management for the creation of such a good team."

"On itinerant holidays we choose to do 3 castle relays and starred tables in a row. The reservation went perfectly. The welcome is perfect, the location magnificent overlooking the Lot valley and a lock. The castle has a history and the team takes real pleasure in sharing it with you. The room is very beautiful, only small defect the television integrated into the mirror requires closing the curtains and turning off the lights. A real joke. Anyway, we're not here for that. Head for the pool, unheated, we were warned. It is very large but the state is degraded. We had fun recovering the small tiles detached from the walls at the bottom of the water. Our score is 10. It's up to you to do better. The gardens are little or not maintained, for this standard it is disappointing. The rose bushes are sluggish, and around the swimming pool simply fallow. The stone balustrades in the garden are sadly badly damaged by weather and frost, and in one place they have collapsed, and a makeshift parapet replaces them. The restaurant we take the tasting menu, 200€, convinced of having as good a time as the night before. First course mini zucchini with horseradish. Too sour, I finish reluctantly. Second dish of foie gras escalope marked with verjuice. Ditto, I don't finish the filling. Third course lobster ravioli. Too salty I do not finish. This time I share my disappointment. The rest follows and it goes well but without pleasure. The next day new disappointment, discussion with the chef, who stands up to me by explaining to me that everyone loves his cooking and besides another guest congratulated the team the same day. So I'm the one with deviant behavior. Yes, but we were two at the table! I am particularly disappointed and upset by the reaction of the chef, steeped in ego and smugness who explains with authority that I am wrong. Well for me it's clear our path will not cross again. Small detail management made a commercial gesture, I did not ask, we just wanted to spend a nice evening."
