"Visitant pendant 2 jours la très belle ville de Metz, nous nous sommes régalés à deux reprises à l'occasion d'un déjeuner dans cette très bonne pizzeria. La première fois nous étions en salle où nous avons trouvé notre bonheur avec toutes les photos et images en noir blanc de célébrités du cinéma ou de la chanson: un bon retour en arrière nostalgique! Le lendemain, la météo étant plus clémente nous avons pu profiter de la très belle terrasse et avons pris notre repas à l'ombre d'un arbre. Les deux déjeuners étaient excellents. Nous avons goûté les pizzas, la salade de la mer, la fritto misto (friture de poissons, calamars, crevettes, moules) ainsi que des cannellonis à l'épinard et à la ricotta. Tous les plats étaient très goûteux et servis très copieusement. J'ai eu l'occasion de manger plusieurs salades de la mer dans d'autres restaurant, mais celle-ci dégustée ici était exceptionnelle: une brochette de 4 très grosses coquilles Saint-Jacques avec 4 grand gambas, du saumon fumé, des crevettes frites , le tout avec des toasts grillés et des gressins. La salade était parfaitement assaisonée. Nous nous sommes même laissé tenter par la crème brûlée qui comme le reste du repas est servie très copieusement. Tout le personnel rencontré était très souriant, chaleureux et à votre écoute. Et cerise sur la gâteau: le restaurant accepte les compagnons à 4 pattes! Ce restaurant vaut vraiment un détour: à 5 minutes de l'agitation du centre ville vous vous retrouvez dans un endroit calme et détendu."

"Visiting Enfin with family to show them some hidden culinary gems in Metz. We should have known booking a table at 7pm on a Saturday in the middle of summer would mean a very busy restaurant... At Enfin they have a great menu of local dishes with a modern touch, as well as your typical burger or pasta dish. With other words, something to please everyone. The veggie burger is an amazing creation, as well as the spätzle gratin and choucroute meat-dish, very much recommended. However the service is another story. We got there in time, to a half-full restaurant and got our drinks fairly fast. Then everything came spiraling down, as the place slowly filled up. It was extremely hard to get the attention of the waiters who seemed more eager to look for new guests at the back of the outside-seated area than to serve the ones with a reservation. After an eternity trying to reach out to the ignorant waiters we got to order our dishes, and after another, the lovely food showed up, but it took another 1/2h to receive a beer after it was ordered after having pointed it out several times and we didn't bother to order another. The staff just seemed to be running back and forth like a bunch of dizzy hens with a feeling of not knowing who was waiting which tables. It was a very stressful evening and for their own good they sure need to get organized! I feel so sorry for the table next to us, with two small kids, who had to wait for 1/2h just to order drinks....The food is really awesome! But I'm not sure spending almost 3h on just drinks and main courses is worth it. Unless you wanna spend lots of time waiting or if you enjoy watching stressed out staff running around ignoring you. I'll go back in the winter to see if they're as stressed then."

Now let's talk about the restaurant O 29. either we didn't have a chance or ? for the aperitif no amuse mouth (we're in a 4 star it seems to me) the rank leader told us that we should have had chips and mini pretzels: the class! We opted for the lorrain menu: Duck paste (the lorrain duck is world-famous) in a jar with a jar of pickles style resto road at the end of the campaign. not obvious to eat in a terrine jar placed on a plate of 20 cmx 10cm!Lorraine nets. I know the side a little hard of the brass, but I didn't know the cows were too. I ordered this dish with a blue baking and brought me a well cooked, hard and rubbery piece. So the rank leader took us back to the dishes because for my wife this meat is immeatable. She chooses a merlu net that revels insipid. my false net comes back to me blue this time on a bed of potatoes made of peacock but really without any taste (of frozen can be or surely). The plate has no presentation, no stamps. for dessert nothing original: a mirabelle ice. The price of this meal is 26 euros. Too expensive for this meal. I think we can eat better in putz for half that price. The chief of the commercial position offered us the aperitifs. really disappointed at this dinner in this 4-star hotel. ...."

"I have to admit that he has made good progress. The kitchen is of quality, the cooking now impeccable, the products are at the height, there is research, the presentation is attractive. It's on this level that the chief is best. So there's nothing to say about this. On the other hand, I am much less packed by the addition, especially the one of the wines. It starts with the champagne that quickly approaches the €200 bottle. It seems to me that on the map the first bottle a raw salmon billecart is at a call price of 95€ and the next one passes immediately to 180€... What is most unpleasant is to be strongly suggested by the sommelier to register in this price range, with a faculty to make you uncomfortable to refuse to your guests a cut to 30€. It is the same for wines with too little choice less than €100, or then without enthusiasm, unless we want to promote the wines of the region, which are still not the first thing we talk about when we get to put. It's a bad calculation, because I feel really trapped, I'm now trying to position myself on the most accessible bottles, while I'm a wine lover and yet I don't hesitate to target a little higher in other restaurants. But here I really don't feel like I'm enjoying myself on this point.
