"really beautiful old English pub that we found randomly on our way from chipping camden to find a pub lunch. great eating, fabulous selection of beating and very friendly helpful staff make it a certain stop. much fun!"

"It was a private group booking in the skittles alley part of the pub. Food was variable. Excellent 1st course with good choice. However the desserts hadn 't been allowed to defrost long enough and still too firm to push a spoon in. I had to ask to have my lemon meringue pie popped in the microwave which they did. Others soldiered on with there 's. One lady commented I 'm waiting for mine to reach room temperature . We enjoyed playing skittles. The garden looked attractive. Tight parking, but enough."
