"Lunch for 10 people. Difficult service, you have to repeat what you ordered several times, for the dishes, despite taking notes. The service is fast. Meal level is above average, all dishes are well presented, but limited quantity on certain meats for the price we pay. This remains delicious. For dessert, not too many problems with service, presentable too, limited quantity for the Café Liège and Caramelized Cream (in which in the latter, it is difficult to get the caramel). The general atmosphere is nice, the staff is friendly and attentive. For the decor, don't hesitate on the dust of the bench and on the lights (spider web) According to some regulars, the best is in the evening, so I'm spreading the word"

"we went to eat at the iron pin twice now and our last visit will be the last. The staff seems arrogant. If you come without reservation, they try to sit at the worst table and react arrogantly when you oppose it. the quality of the food varies between good and poor. the "pommes jumped" that accompanied the two main dishes (not very original) the beef fillet and the grilled wolf (catfish) were dismounted and too cooked, our comment on this subject did not at all enjoy. we are not too critical but expect good value for money, professional attitude and responsiveness when a customer expresses his disappointment. You'll find it in vain. We spoke with friends of the place and received a similar return. Then you'd better go next to it and book in the lock."

"Restaurant well placed, excellent food. Unfortunately the server is full of trouble and made us uncomfortable on several occasions with his remarks. Example: at the time of paying the bill, I invite my boyfriend tonight but the waiter insists with the card machine to him. I gave him my card but he looked at me and did not accept. At the time I was able to pay he said “thank you, sir”. I'll answer her no thanks, ma'am. He says yes, but good bravo, sir. All this in a very nasty atmosphere because there was no joke behind these multiple remarks. I still recommend this restaurant that serves very good food, you just have to ignore the server. PS: It’s hard to use the 2nd-degree excuse when you don’t know how to use it ..."

"I spent an idyllic stay! The place is magical. Just let yourself be transported. The boss is exceptional and will take a special care so that you keep a memorable memory forever. The restaurant menu largely meets the requirements of the most sensitive taste buds. The value for money is just amazing for the French Riviera. I returned a second time and will return to it without hesitation when the opportunity will come."

"We live 5 minutes walk from Tonton Marcel and today my Hubby and I have finally found the time for lunch. Our first visit. I'm upset that we didn't do this before. We disappeared. I ordered the tuna... steak with Basmati rice and my hubby had the chicken burger with curry sauce and homemade frits. It was great! Fresh, homemade cuisine and served with a smile. It was so good, we order 3 Tuna Poke bowls to have our little one home tonight. I can't wait. We'll be back next week."

"Excellent chicken. Never disappointed by the Moginian roasting to whom I have been faithful for more than 15 years... Owner changes have never altered the quality and goodness of the staff. And more quality impeccable price. Thank you."

"I've never felt more compelled to write a review from tonight's shocking dining experience. I'm going to write up the full and exact version of events to try and portray the defence this rude and obnoxious owner thought he had, so here goes...I called up yesterday to book a table for 8pm tonight. I was running 30 mins late so out of courtesy called up to let them know and was told this was no problem, there was still plenty of space. Upon arrival there was a table outside for 2 but after seeing the beautiful interior decided to sit inside so we moved and there were only 2 tables taken by other guests and around 8 free tables available. As soon I ordered a beer and my fiancé some water he had the hump and we immediately noticed his mood changed but we weren't sure why at this point. My partner doesn't drink alcohol not that we should have to make any excuse. We ordered 2 main meals, 2 vegetable sides and a rice which totalled $53.The waiter was very kind and polite. My partner got her main meal and the side orders came which looked delicious. When I received my main meal, they gave me the wrong order completely and although disappointed they assured me it would take a few more minutes. Unsurprisingly after around 12 mins i was still waiting and the waiter came over immediately to apologise understanding that we were unable to eat together and also that the side orders were getting cold. We simply just asked him to pass on our disappointment to the owner who was shirking behind the counter. He was reluctant to tell him and asked us to tell the owner ourselves as he doesn't care. He then came over during our meal and excused himself that the wrong order was put through but offered no apology or solution. At this stage any form of acknowledgment or gesture offered (even small) would have been gratefully accepted but nothing was offered and he continued to argue his defence to us, blaming his waiter. We didn't want to make a big deal out of it so just continued to eat and the food was sublime. The waiter could see his manager and the restaurant owner ignored the problem and once again came over to apologise. It was evident that he gets annoyed as soon as no alcohol (ie expensive wine) is not ordered.20 mins later and after reading other negative remarks I decided I was going to get up and speak with the owner directly privately outside to politely explain what we were unhappy about. I walked outside and he followed. He wanted to speak with me in front of the guests outside and I said 'I have respect for him and his guests so let's speak out of sight.'I simply said that I was disappointed for the reasons above and as a restaurant owner he should show more respect to his customers and that it was him alone that created this bad atmosphere. We spent good money and fully justified an apology. I was told...'First you came and sat outside then inside' (big deal!!!) and that we took up two tables instead of one-I've never heard so much rubbish and he continued to defend himself siting the reason that because he explained the mix up it was ok.I spent a couple more minutes trying to make him realise that just like he expects to be paid for food given, we also expect a minimum service level which we felt we didn't receive. The fact that the food was late ultimately wasn't the issue here but it was more so his reluctance to apologise and ruin the atmosphere of our meal.It was then evident this irrational man won't understand and said 'you will pay for all your food'. I was infuriated and replied saying i will decide what I will pay.We went back inside and at this point all customers outside looked shocked at his response but they wouldn't believe what followed. The bill came and i still gave €50 of my €53 bill. If I had a €5 note i would have only paid €45 so he got more than he deserved.Me and my partner walked out and he followed us demanding we pay the €3 balance shouting at us to never come back and that he doesn't need customers like us.He was willing to make a scene in front of all his other guests over €3s instead of accepting it and shutting up. At no point did I raise my voice when speaking with him but I've never experienced such horrific service.Unless you go there and order a lot of alcohol be careful about eating here and even if you do be aware who you are dealing with as you may find your entire evening ruined by such a rude and bad mannered individual. He is blessed to have a business in such a high end area around all the lovely art galleries around and doesn't have the customer service skills to run a business here at all.I'll never recommend anyone to go there and have been recommend that others consider a lovely Indian in Cannes instead called Taj Mahal or another lovely new Indian restaurant in by one of the port areas in Antibes instead.Shocking owner!!!"

"The terrace at Mas Candille is lovely, and we have dined there several times before. The view is lovely, and the ambiance is perfect. We took guests there last night, having not been there since the start of the pandemic, we were looking forward...to returning and perhaps a glorious sunset to end the day. The weather did not offer the sunset, but the terrace was still lovely. We got a warm welcome from the valet parker and the reception desk and shown to a lovely table with comfortable chairs. Then it all went wrong, staff in disarray, with no apparent leadership, we were there for three hours, then decided to go home for coffee on our terrace as we could not bear the thought of the wait. The menu choice was mediocre, and the duck was tough even though pink) just badly trimmed. I left most of mine. Had I served this at home, I would have been hugely embarrassed. The desert sounded lovely, but the flavours were completely lacking. Sad to see a previously excellent restaurant go so far down hill. Hope they improve soon."

"really impressed by this place. We went there for a glass of wine before going to dinner at a restaurant in the arts. the atmosphere is perfect and the wine list is excellent. light dishes are also available, that is, antipasto, which looked good but as we had not, I can't give an opinion. glass of wine was accompanied by olive tapnade, which was a delicate attention. at the back is the cellar with very good wines for sale, so we will certainly return."

"Went there with a large group (16 persons in total) for a birthday dinner. It was a relatively last-minute plan, and we were unsure whether it would be possible to arrange a dinner with that many people in just four days time. However, Ms. Larroumes (assistante commerciale) was very helpful in arranging everything in a very quick, effective and comprehensive way. She was very attentionate regarding everything, from our needs, our dietary restrictions, to our expectations. She made sure that we'd easily reach her, and that we'd be well-informed about everything prior to our event. She even made sure that we'd have an English-speaking personal waiter, and that the menu would be written both in French and English.Since the moment we arrived for the dinner, everything went beyond our expectations. Special thanks to Serguei (apologies if I misspelled his name), our personal waiter, for accommodating us throughout the event and for his impeccable service even until 1 a.m. Serguei was very courteous, professional, and helpful in accommodating all of our requests. Serguei's friendliness towards the children was particularly appreciated. The terrace and the private dining room were stunningly beautiful. The food was excellent - special thanks to the Chef, David Chauvac, for his well-thought personalised menu and our great discovery of French cuisine, from seafood and meat to French cheese and wine. All in all, everybody had a pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend, especially for large-scale events. Au plaisir de vous revoir prochainement !"

"From crossing the region, I found on the net this restaurant, well noted so I decided to test it. To my surprise my note and experience does not reflect what I read on the net. I ordered a bucket chicken, very good, but my entire octopus was disastrous, tasteless and bathing in oil, even after asking for a sauce to enjoy my meal and having waited for at least 10 min to have it, it was not good. No empathy at the level of service, fortunately I paid 50%less with the fork otherwise I would have made an emotional indigestion. I think the food has to go together with the service, which serves to eat good and bad service or vice versa."

"First time in le Moulin de Mougins. We went there with my friend's family as we were looking for a location to celebrate my husbands 40th in July and we want a place we could book at least 50 people. We arrived and for 20 minutes no waiters or anyone to ask how does it work. Finally we get up and serve ourselves. About the food was nothing special. Very simple things, not bad but nothing wow. My eldest (7 years old) wasn't well so he had a tiny croque Monsieur and still water. Te other three kids ate few slices of ham and dessert. My friend and I, we were not drinking alcohol as we needed to drive. My husband and my friends husband had two glasses of rose each. When the bill came we paid 49 euros per adult even if we didn't drink at all and my 7yo was 29 euros !!!! Yes 29 euros for a quarter of a sandwich!!!!!! Other kids were 10 euros. I called the waiter and explained we didn't drink but specially very unhappy to pay for my son who had nothing 29 euros. It was unacceptable excessive. He said he didn't care and that was the price, didn't even try to hear me. I told him this was our first and last time. He laughed and he said he didn't care and so to please pay the bill. For sure I would never come back again and thankfully I still have time to look for another location for my husbands bday party. I would only recommend it for people who would like to get so drunk they can't even drive and so loud as the table beside. But as for the food it is definitely no worth it at all!!!"

"Very disappointed. The mas candille is not up to a 5 star. The room we got needs a major overhaul. Enamel bathtub, stained carpet, aging furniture, torn sockets. Only one drink in the minibar. No sauna and steam room. Jacuzzi not hot. The staff is very pleasant and friendly. The environment is beautiful. We read a lot of reviews and the property's responses do not reflect our experience. The restaurant is average, we ate 2 evenings because we had taken a package. Several customers were unhappy. Too bad because the establishment has great potential. We would have given a better rating if the hotel was a 4 star. The bedding was good, the room was quiet."

"Been to Mougins before but never visited Le Petit Provencal. What a mistake. Next time we go we shall visit again and perhaps even again. Do not be put off by its location - basically it is a car park! We enjoyed a fabulous meal, the sun was shining and the food, service and wine was fantastic value for money. The octopus salad was to die for and the lamb chops were cooked to perfection. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her sea bass and, most unusually for us, we both tucked in to a scrummy dessert. One tip do not bother to order a bottle of wine - nothing wrong with it - just order a pichet. What a great afternoon. We will be back !"
