"As two cycling couples we stayed for five nights in the rooms above Café Velo. Our beds were super comfy and made up with sheets and a throw (instead of a duvet) just as requested. Both rooms were clean, spacious and well-equipped (with the added advantage of a shared kitchen). The bathrooms also worked well – great shower, and all the sockets and hooks in the right places! We ate in the café on our first evening – lovely simple small plates with glasses of fabulous wine. We also had delicious breakfasts sitting outside overlooking the river. Truly wonderful banana loaf! The locking garage was a real bonus for our bikes. Anna and Charles couldn’t have been more welcoming – and we look forward to a return visit!"

"A restaurant with simple food done with finesse and care. There was a daily menu that suited the season and provided a choice of stater, mains and dessert. A wine list of carefully chosen regional wines complemented the food well. From the the jocular waiter to the busy kitchen, which is open to view, this is bright and cheery spot for lunch and justifiably full. Very good value. The chilled apricot compote with ice cream was a delight."

"This restaurant is always busy for lunch and dinner, so reserve before arriving. If you are visiting France for the first time be aware that restaurants do not “turn over” tables 2.5 times as they do in North America. The table is yours for the evening so people take their time and enjoy their meal. This means you often wait for service. Add to that a shortage of employees across the country so you’d better get used to conversing with your lunch or dinner partner. Service was friendly and though the specialty is seafood and fish, I ordered the “faux Charolais filet”. In France steak is cooked less than what you order they refuse to cook it medium well or well done. It’s the way it is. The steak was grilled and tasted properly aged which means it was more tender than the average and the “sauce bleu” was excellent as were the fries. My partner ordered Sandre fish (Zander) also quite tasty in a sauce that was rich and delicious. The appetizer (called entree in France) was the Bavarian goat cheese salad which is a house specialty delicious. My partner had the salmon in lime juice which he enjoyed. Dessert was sorbet from the fabulous Les Glaces Artisanale best available in this country."

"this restaurant is held by the same owner as the Saint Sebastian counter, located nearby. one of their specialties: mussels, seasoned in different ways (at curry, chorizo ...). a test next time!In the first place, it is worth receiving a very good reception by the restaurant manager and the waiter. Smiling, pleasant, nothing to say. Here is the detail of my menu: in the entry: tofu salad and lawyers: unpublished agreements, a nice surprise in terms of flavor. dish : cheese burger : in an improved version, not 2 simple breads surrounding a piece of meat. The stirring, with slightly caramelized onions, shallots, and on the top a potato cake instead of bread, is perfect to my taste. For dessert: strawberry leaf: delicious and tastefulThe cost of this menu is 20 euros (entrance, dish, dessert), 15 euros (if flat or dessert dish). I'm looking for reproaches to do them, but frankly I don't see them. It's not high gastronomy, but they don't have the pretense. It's a more qualitative bistro. We have what we're waiting for, for the price we pay. for sure I'll come back!"

"Second time for me... Another success!!! Home really beautiful, correct rates, no bad choices, complete formulas, as short as good!!! And special mention for burgers with quality beef meat!!! Today I tried the burger with honey, goat, beef and crunchy almonds... TOP!!! Ah and finally, a little word from the chief to ask us how it was and to exchange (but for real, not one? Where you feel it's just forced... And then he advises me onion burger for the next time, and I assure you that it is for soon!!! If I had to find a tithe something to say, I would like to find dessert houses too... Well, to end, between a few restaurants that don't deserve to stop, and fast restaurants that cost the same price, the choice is quickly made!!! Enjoy."
