"We went here for a dinner during our honeymoon in Nice. We could not have had a better time. The food was amazing. We had the foie gras appetizer served with a small salad and pickled red onions. It was perfectly smooth, buttery, and rich and absolutely to die for. For mains we got the 16month Comte fondue and tagliatelle. Both were amazing. The Comte had a deep rich flavor and the tagliatelle was bursting with fresh sage. We were given the recommendation of a Chardonnay that paired perfectly with our dishes. It was a 2015 varietal that referenced snails in its name (because of the snails on the art on the front of the bottle). It was crisp, refreshing and perfectly paired. The ambience was exceptional. You are taken downstairs to a warm, cavernous, brick enclave, where you will be treated with the best food and wine.On top of this the service was absolutely top notch. Our waitress was extremely nice and laughed with us at our inability to eat the amount of food we had ordered. But, even better was one of the co-owners, Gregoire, who was amazing. He gave us the wine recommendation, but we also had a nice long chat with him after we were done eating. He provided us with a great rum and whiskey aperitif and we spent a good time just discussing them and their different qualities. It was an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend making reservations here if you are visiting Nice, you will not be disappointed. (Also, he did not know that it was our honeymoon, as we never mentioned this)."

"My husband and I went to this restaurant in July this year. The menus are written in French. We were able to make out a smoked salmon dish on the menu so both ordered this. We also saw some sort of a beef dish and both ordered it also. When our mains came it was RAW MINCE with mushrooms on top which hid the fact it was raw. I started to eat it and realised it was raw and was near sick. I left it sitting until the waiter came, my husband didnt touch his. The waiter asked me what was wrong with his and I said it's raw I dont and never have ate raw meet. He took it away to have it cooked some more which took a long time. Meanwhile my husband's main is still in front of him untouched. When my main came back it was still very raw and the hunger had passed us both by this time. So being very unhappy I stated I would pay for the drink and starters that was all. The owner came to me and was extremely rude. He shouted at me in a really loud voice in French in front of everyone. The waiter brought me to inside the premises with my husband. The owner came in to us and ordered me to pay the full bill. I stated no as my husband didnt touch his and I barely touched mine. I informed him we both do not eat raw meet and would never do so. He shouted at me even more loudly this time and stated he was going to get the police. I told him to do so if he so desired. He came back and asked was I English and I said yes. He then shouted to us Get Out, Get Out, Get Out and grabbed his cheeks and pushed his face into mine shaking his cheeks. I dont know what this was about but he was so aggressive I started to cry. He walked out and left us there 15 minutes. We stood there prepared to pay for what we ate. He came back again ranting and raving this time again in French and told us to get out. I told the waiter I will pay for what we ate and drank as I have manners and wouldnt leave without doing so. This greatly upset me and left me crying for most of the remainder of the night. I had to go back to my apartment I was so upset and was greatly upset and disturbed for a few days. I wanted to get home he upset me so much. With an owner like this I would advise not to go near this place. Also he had friends 6, at a table and he worshiped them all night. Paid no attention to his paying customers. He also obviously has a problem with English people. My husband and I were here for our 30th wedding anniversary and didnt want this sort of reception at all. It is also extremely pricey."

"We wanted to eat in the Old Town on our last night in Nice and stumbled across this restaurant-approx 15 people waiting to eat but the maitre d was able to offer us a table inside upstairs immediately or a 25 minute wait for a table outside. We decided to go inside - not disappointed as air conditioned and nice modern decor inside.Neither the food or wine menu is extensive and there is no children's menu but the portions are very large so we shared two meals between three and we had no room for dessert. The lasagne was great as was the Tomato & Basil pasta and we were really pleased as good value for money and very tasty food and we waited no more than 10 minutes from ordering which given it was so busy was great. Champagne & expresso were very good too. We saw the desserts being served and they were also very large portions. Dinner cost €50The service however was not so good - english menus were provided after establishing we were indeed English. I asked if there was a child menu as travelling with a 6yr old which was met with disgust. He then bought wrong plates to our table ahead of our food arriving which was for table next to us which he then promptly dropped but didn't apologise but appeared to be annoyed with us for being the wrong table! Having not experienced good service is any of the restaurants we visited in Nice I would still recommend this restaurant as food was excellent, great value and great location - just expect prompt service with little in way of pleasantries."
