"Visited yesterday for the first time as my son attends this college and is always going on about how good the food is so we decided to try for ourselves. The restaurant is open noon till 2 mon to fri when the college is open. We were seated promptly and given menus and served water while we looked at the menus.The courses are individually priced but we had a three courser which totalled £8.95 each and the menus change weekly. The restaurant is modern,bright,large and spotlessly clean. The food is prepared and served by the students,they even have a front of house. There were three of us and we ordered all three starters (breaded prawns,soup and terrine)got the same main (chicken chasseur with rice and wilted greens) and the same sweet(lime and marscapone cheesecake with exotic fruits) I thought they played the menu down as the food was amazing taste wise and presentation was beautiful. There is also a fully stocked bar which I took full advantage of and had 2 Pinot Grigios at £3 a glass. Bill totalled around £35 as my son had two vodkas with a can of Irn Bru. Can't wait to go back,recommend!"

"My experience at the beach restaurant with my 11-month-old and 2-year-old looking for lunch was disappointing. There was minimal interaction from the staff, just a quick request for payment. I felt that basic questions like 'Have you been here before?' and 'How old are your children?' should have been asked. The tables were dirty with what looked like ketchup on the highchairs and table, so I had to clean them myself. I had to ask another customer how to order food and was directed to the restaurant, where I had to wait to be seated but got ignored. I ended up walking to the till to place my order. The woman who assisted me was pleasant and patient, but I was told that my food would be served in takeaway containers without crockery, which was not ideal for dining with small children. Despite the quick service, my order was missing some items and lacked napkins or cutlery. I only found these essentials upon leaving. The beach was cold, and the kids' meal, which was a cheese sandwich, was not child-friendly as it had grated cheese instead of melted. It seemed like the staff assumed I had visited before, which was not the case. Overall, it was a missed opportunity for a great dining experience. Some suggestions for improvement would be to inquire about guests' previous visits, clarify the ordering process, and ensure a warmer environment for families with children."

"The staff were all very friendly (special mention to Jose who is just so welcoming) and the atmosphere in the restaurant nice and relaxed. I have eaten in the Bar Grill a few times recently and all the food has been just delicious as very...well presented. From the homemade Cajun Burger to the Beef Stroganoff, to the perfectly cooked Haddock, to the Roasted BBQ Chicken.....the list could go on : I certainly look forward to returning to sample more from the menu. I haven't tried it yet but they also have an early evening offer through the week up until 1830."

"slow service and not good eating. my burger had no sauce at all and was therefore very dry. my wife ordered a baked kartoffel and others than the fact that they did not store enough for their menu, the cook did not know how to prepare a baked kartoffel appropriately. it was hard and the sea fish my wife had decided to put back mayo. the cutlery was not sufficiently clean as we could see that it streaky brander over them all suspect that they were not too bad with clean water apart from the chips."

"Now over 20 visits. Lovely young ladies who serve. But that’s now 8 times I’ve asked for a mild dish. MILD. Have made a huge point of repeating the fact. It gets less mild every visit. As if it’s made hotter on purpose. I’ve took 2 friends now on different occasions. Lassies serving are lovely. Cheesecake is amazing but I’m fed up trying to explain what mild means. My friend and I cried tears with burning mouths tonight. Last time. Local takeaway but not paying a penny more when order isn’t fulfilled."
