"Had eaten here 3 times this holiday and went for our last night as food had been good, however we waited over 10 minutes and were completely ignored, no eye contact from serving staff one the chefs partner so expect an interest in customer service), so after 10 minutes decided they obviously didn't want our business so walked away So disappointed as staff had seemed so nice previously, but was obviously just a front. Food is good, service is disgusting. Believe it is a reasonably new restaurant, which will not survive if they do not offer a reasonable customer experience. Tables are not cleared when vacated which limits their ability for new clients to be seated. "Highly recommend Lava Restaurant Delicious food, friendly staff, fabulous location overlooking the ocean Breakfast, coffee/cake, Lunch, tapas, dinner Opens until 10pm Mon Wed Closes 5pm Thurs and Fri Closed Sat Closes 4pm Sunday We had southern fried chicken wraps with homemade skin on fries and coleslaw which was delicious Then had lemon drizzle cake to finish which was yum! Would not hesitate to return and recommend to others Highly recommend to book, every night was fully booked and manage to get a table to lunch but again, worth booking even for lunch"

"The restaurant is lovely, the staff were great and the food was amazing. They also catered for myself, as I require gluten free meals. They had gluten free bread, they made gluten free deep fried calamari, they had gluten free pasta and they also brought me a gluten free cheesecake. The food was obviously freshly cooked. It was delicious. There were 10 of us, including 6 children and everyone enjoyed their food and we all left very full. I would certainly recommend this restaurant, what a hidden gem."

"I hate to give bad reviews but this was really not okay. We waited an hour for 3 dishes. The fritos were disgusting, without any dip, very bad oder. We had calamari fritos in spain, in italy and in greece- here it was just not fresh and greasy.. I complained but the waitress was just pissed. The wine was expensive. The Irish next to us had their spaghetti served frozen. Very friendly waiter but in the end, that's not the reason to go for dinner. We live next to Italy and this has nothing to do with Italian food. But there are loads of British who seamed to enjoy it."
