Terrasse • Vegetarier • Griechisch • Mittagessen

"A week ago I was in this restaurant with a friend and was thrilled. But from the beginning we tried to see into the restaurant whether there were still places to see; the door went up and a young woman asked us if we didn't want to come in. We asked for free places, they offered us in the upper part; After we presented the confirmations on demand, we went up. Over the years, I'm used to tasting the simplest in a new place. In the Greeks it is the gyro, because as the experience says, you can prepare gyros very different and range from durable to pink as tough as leather to dry and very dark. Anders! The gyros had been cut very thin, the meat was very delicate and soft and was spiced by someone who knows how to deal with it. Then onions were dressed with a thin cloth, which was then well matched. The pommes ordered for this were really an exception, not in the negative sense, because on the one hand they were evenly browned, tender and hot! when they arrived on the plate. I'm just saying this because Pommes are very crispy or soft and soggy. Here are the Pommes, as I almost see it perfectly. Then, of course, Zaziki was on the plate, which was also very finely tailored and was incredibly delicious. In short, one had passed the hardness test with Bravour, because if the Gyros are really good in a Greek restaurant, one can look forward to tasting the other dishes. There was a small dish of herbal salad as usual. Before eating there was an ouzo, after eating there was an ouzo, as little dessert there was a pastry that looked like a tiny little queen paste of grape vinegar filled with baked strawberries and contained very small cubes of strawberries. Very delicious little sweetie, so there is not every day. This has not yet been completed since there was also a flaming metaxa. So we got a really delicious dish full of gros, pommes and Zaziki, 2 Ouzo, 1 Metaxa and a small candy for €14.90. Even if Ouzo and Metaxa and the little candy were not there, it is not just a reasonable price, it is even very good for my taste. And because we all hopefully know that a business with the service stands or falls a very great thank you to the nice ladies of the service that had everything under control. When the question appeared to us, I came without thinking about it, but hello! about the lips. So greet the magician in the kitchen! Thank you for this really delicious food. My friend and I agree that it was certainly not the last time we had eaten there. Therefore, there is also a very clear recommendation for this small but fine restaurant. The local To Greek has catapulted place 1 on my hit list of Greek locals. So once again a great thank you to the entire team of Zum Griechen in the Mottenstraße, who definitely understands their craft."

Elrado-house

Elrado-house

Nordstraße 42, 26135 Oldenburg, Germany

Wein • Steak • Fisch • Kaffee

"Price performance: good With a group of seven we tried the Elrado in Oldenburg. I already knew the branch at the Market square in Lüneburg, however, the decoration of the Elrado in Nordstraße in Osternburg has been glued to the late seventies and doesn't look...welcoming in any way. We had reserved a quiet table for seven people, unfortunately it was at the draughty passage to the smoking room, where the smell of cold cigarette smoke bothered us. But all Tuesday night there were still many seats available, so they offered us a table for eight at the other end of the premises, where there was also a working heater. Elrado advertises with the slogan we love steaks, not only with the meat they are putting in the effort. The meat was served on hot cast iron plate and was fresh, free from traces of a deep cooling burned on the outside, raw on the inside that one sometimes encounters elsewhere. My plate was so hot, that I had to cover up to protect from the splashing from the juicy ribeye. Perhaps one reason why the clothes smelled of cooking afterwards. The pepper steak and ribeye came as ordered mediumrare English, unfortunately, heavily salted. The meat was good and juicy, and the lamb was tender and plentiful, the sauce unfortunately over salted. The visitors were satisfied with the zander and salmon steak. We were served by a young, friendly waiter and a hectic middleaged one. Unfortunately, he managed twice to insensibly interrupt birthday speech by a nonagenarian. Addressing the excessive salt towards the end of the meal, the waiter said he would have replace the food if we had told earlier. Conclusion: the Elrado team makes an effort, so always report immediately if something is wrong, even if you have to go to the hectic waiter. Coffee The Elrado uses a swiss Franke Expresso Machine and unfortunately uses UHT longlife milk for it’s Caffè latte. I deduct a point or star in the rating for not using fresh milk. Sanitation The loos are modern and solid, but smelled of urinal cake. Given the few guests in the restaurant, one wonders why they looked so relatively messy. Getting there A bus stop with frequent services is right in front of the entrance on Nordstrasse. During our visit, there was free parking available right by the Elradohouse, which can be reached from Hermmanstraße, but unfortunately there are no safe bicycle parking spaces, so that our bikes had to park on the footpath on Hermannstraße. Note To my criticisms 'cold', 'drafty' and for 'clothes smelling of cooking' it has to be noted that this on an evening in January when it was freezing outside. On warmer days, this may look different. Cost Seven people consumed three soups, seven main dishes, two salads, five beers and two wineglasses and we paid on average per head € incl VAT. A fair price for plenty of meat and fish"

Sasso

Sasso

Posthalterweg 10, 26129 Oldenburg, Germany

Eis • Pizza • Pizzeria • Frühstück

"The Sasso is available in Oldenburg more often, here I write the pizzeria in the famila shopping area. If you drive from the parking deck up with the escalator, you will get directly to this facility. There are many seats, it is suitable for breakfast, lunch and also for coffee and cakes. In addition to ice, there is also pizza to go, at an outlet right from the vase. Very friendly ladies, all well cast in Italy, pick up the order and serve the ordered foods and drinks. It was typical of me, a bitter Lemon, that was not in the Schweppes glass, but was shown on the map. Price 2.30 € Then my mirrored egg. 3 eggs on black bread, nicely decorated with salad leaf, cucumber, kiwi, orange and melon. The yellow top perfectly fried. Price 3,90 € Then a pizza marinara, various seafood, tiny shrimps, lots of surimi and the shells, according to the menu Venus mussels, the whole with thick edge, the other soil thin, but very bad to cut, was simply not chewed enough. Price 8.80 € Together so 15 €, you were also fed. However, if you go to the homepage, you will also find a menu at Sasso in the shopping area, however with old prices Bitter Lemon 1,90€, Spiegeleier 2,90€ and Pizza 8 €, that would have cost only 12,80€. There should be an update, which is currently almost 20 higher prices. In addition to these consumed dishes, there are various breakfast combinations, pizzas, many pasta dishes, carvings, fish and also gyros. The surface on the watercourse is quite tightly chaired, you should not hold loud conversations, the neighboring table listens with."
