"Once seated, we ordered our drinks and food, and upon checking our table, it seemed fine. We placed our drinks there and headed to the carvery. The selection of meats was impressive, but my wife, who is vegetarian, found it strange that there were no alternatives offered for her. The vegetables were bland, with some overcooked and others undercooked. The cauliflower cheese had little to no cheese flavor, the stuffing was subpar, and the Yorkshire puddings tasted cheap, likely frozen bulk purchases.
On the positive side, the meats were excellent and the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, this did little to improve my wife's experience, as she was very disappointed. The staff member serving the meat was friendly and accommodating, which was appreciated. However, we noticed that adjoining tables were left uncleared with dirty plates and glasses throughout our hour-long visit. This was particularly disappointing, especially since several staff members were chatting at the bar while we were there.
Overall, it was a disappointing meal, and we would not consider returning under these circumstances."
