"This used to be a shabby looking place before they started renovating but they offered a vegan menu long before most of the other places in town did. Luckily they kept that menu although I wouldn 't think it was frequented a lot for the vegan options. Many classic indian dishes, serves vegetarian options as well. No vegan cheese on their pizza but they 're good without, too. Has limited seating but looks relatively hip after renovations took place. Prices are moderate/ cheap and more than legitimate since the servings they offer are quite big. Friendly staff!"

"We were there for the first time today. Very nice atmosphere, although a bit dark. Cell phone light helped with reading menus. The rest was a poem. Service attentive. The food was a blast. My wife had taken 50% spiciness. My food was Thai spicy. There was also a bowl of chili. Delicious. Will definitely come back. Many thanks to the team and the kitchen for the great evening. We had been toying with the Sukhothai appetizer platter, but when asked we were advised against it. Thanks for that. Was the right decision. "on a beautiful evening we wanted to let the day out, but unfortunately this was not possible in this locality; we found a nice table, between others (still free tables)! Then we waited almost 30 min. on an operation, we ordered the drinks and the menus. after some time the drinks came, but no dishes. we waited almost 30 minutes until we spoke to someone who brought us the menus! (now 1 hour in the local ) we ordered our food after approx. 20 minutes the service came to us to tell us that we should wait for our food for almost 1 hour again, as other guests would have preferred.For us, the evening was finished with this, something is not at all!No more again."

"Loved it! Will return! Great concept for this place so I hope the team at Vesttafel can keep it up!The change at Vesttafel really made a very noticeable change. I grew up in Recklinghausen, live in the US and return every now and then. Typically I ignored the Vesttafel - but now it will be part of my "coming home" visits. We (party of 4) had dinner under the stars next to the very nice Engel fountain - very special atmosphere! They have themed menus every week, and it was a hit. The Schnitzel as well. One of the best things was the (free) amuse-Bouche, the carrot-ginger soup. Fantastic! Excellent and attentive service - well done!!As I said - we will be back!"

"more often we met to a cozy evening with good food. you believe that a good restaurant is not necessarily found in a suburb. klostermann is a little hidden in Recklinghausen-Suderwich. for me actually the best choice, although I don't live too far away.The foods we selected were very delicate, came to the table at the same time and we could all feed at the same time. as a dessert, as a small gift of the house, there was a small ice. I had not experienced that yet.The kitchen of the house extends from German, Yugoslavian specialties to international courts.The service was consistently friendly and courteous.The prices are reasonable and the ambiente is very nice.We were certainly not there for the last time."

"Yesterday we were back there and it was good again!! It's nice that you don't make unnecessary experiments there and it tastes like before! I liked the classic Balkan cuisine as a child and I look forward to it!! My mixed grill plate was extremely plentiful and tasty! And also on evtl. Special requests are friendly and flexible. If it was not a problem to exchange the Pommes for Djuvecreis during the penultimate visit to me, my wife was also unable to prepare her dish with less sharpness. "From all the Italian restaurants/ Bistros I have visited every Monday, this has convinced me the most. Supercoole backround music, it doesn't always have to be Eros Ramazzotti, who completes you. Jazz on a pleasant hearing level is sometimes just better. Many services speak Italian, which is very pleasing. Our female service was very nice, discreetly holding, not intrusive and always at the place. The Appetizer bread was fresh, crispy and was served with a delicious bread spread. Hurrraahhh, finally no herbal butter that gets her taste with ready mix. You'll get that stuff on every Döner/ Pizza Bude. My Casoncelli alla bergamasca were almost as tasty as in Lombardy, I lacked a little of Amaretti taste, for that there was plentiful pancetta almost too much, was already overwhelming and too dominant. But, SAULECKER. I would be happy if this place also offered Tortelli di Zucca. Then I would be a fan forever : The Linguini alla Funghi Porcini were also classy. The wine was suitable, we're coming back."

"1 star for the beautiful ambience. The food was terrible and expensive. The Lachsburger was dry, the red cabbage was a Matschepampe (see photo), not edible as well. The noodles did not taste either. These were boiled for too long and the sauce just tasted after passing tomatoes. The deficiencies were also addressed directly in the restaurant and unfortunately only smiled away. We returned 3 dishes half eaten and the noodles complete. Too bad the customers here seem to care. It should be added that the restaurant was also relatively empty at that time. We will not recommend the restaurant and will not be able to come again. The coming Christmas party will not take place there."

"we stayed with the family (8 adults and a three-year-old child) on the 1st Christmas day in restaurant breuing at 11.30 a.m. for lunch. according to the internet, this restaurant raises the claim to an upscale kitchen. Unfortunately ambiente and atmosphere in the local claim are not fair.The reception was rather cool and we were quickly assigned to our table. the service personnel seemed slightly overwhelmed, so it approx. 10 minutes lasted until we were asked about the drinks and brought us the menu card.The menu card could be taken from 4 menus plus a children's menu (putenschnitzel with pommes and puppies and tubes at the price of about €15). a menu with fish or wings (e.g. brush breast) was not part of the menu. also a note on vegetarian cost was not available.If we were able to inform us about the selection in the internet before (was unfortunately not possible) we would probably not have reserved a table there. to demand whether it would be possible to exchange the ducks in a menu for the putenschnitzel located in the child menu, we were told that this would have a price to follow. not just customer-friendly. so we order our menus. as a presupe one could choose between a clear broth and a maissupe. the clear suppe had relatiw little taste. the maissupe was o.k. the served menus were also o.k, but also no more. good esser would not have been fed. that dessert, a parfait, was not self-made.Since the restaurant had all the tables after the date around 11.30 a.m., a second time around 13.30 a.m., it became very hectic after we had taken this dessert to us. the managing director or owner came to our tsich - it was 13.25 clock and asked if we had already paid - one could not resist the impression that one wanted to complicate us from the local one. we agreed to ask. immediately a service worker was there and asked us to pay. "in a sum," he asked. I agreed and he had to cash in so far individually. to ask what courts and drinks I would pay, I have distorted them to him. he added the dishes and drinks. I expect a service power here to know the prices for the menus mentioned and the drinks mentioned and have naturally left me on the sum he mentioned. at the later exact look, I then fixed that menus were on my bill, which I had not ordered at all, and in so far paid a fee of about 10,- € too high. Something like that must not happen. "I would like to eat here, because the price/performance ratio is very good and also the quality! It is very clean as you can see on the photo, is a transparent plastic table cloth over any table. "first a few words to the ambiente: impressive, as it has been possible to make the former vaulted cellar a dense yet cozy restaurant with a real feel-good atmosphere. everything is matched to each other: the beautiful leather chairs fit perfectly to the eggy, the tables are tastefully covered, to the glasses the whole looks harmonious. a highlight is the open kitchen for me.The service is attentive and friendly, there is nothing to expose.The young team in the kitchen has developed a very own style, traditional dishes with partly western-fälische influences on modern art and wise. there are also some other bodice supplements like lenses by using a variety of flavors in unexpected combination to a sometimes surprising but always excellent taste experience. on the map are always 2 or 3 fish meat dishes and as many vegetarian alternatives to choose, and everything was always fresh. the supplements are looking out on the map, they are handed out like tapas in small valleys.My opinion is that the 17th century with its kitchen does not need to hide behind the top restaurants in the region. it may not be quite as fancy and somewhat more grounded, but it is also much less stiff for this, and I see the price-performance ratio is absolutely right."
