"Originally from the USA, while on a short trip to the Rostock area I had to stop at the Liberty Delis to try their American Style Burger due to the positive reviews. The place itself is just a hole in the wall with only two...high tables to stand outside while eating. There were a good selection of what seemed to be specialty burgers available. I was very surprised to see the frozen patties being used and I would even say they were not beef, possible processed beef products. The burger was large but the taste was of a burger patty from your local supermarket in the frozen food section. The steak fries were also frozen and was not even tasty, I ended up throwing them away. I would presume that all the positive reviews are from travelers that has never been to the USA and had a true American fresh grilled beef hamburger."

"Wir haben heute das erste Mal in rostock sushilicious getestet und waren insgesamt enttäuscht. Für 37 euro für 2 personen take away hätte ich mir mehr erwartet. Was hat gefehlt? - yakitori spiesse schmeckten nach convenience. Fade sauce und leicht pappige Konsistenz. - sashimi lachs: ok. Menge in Ordnung für 8,90 euro- ura maki crunchy sehr röstzwiebellastig- ura maki tekka spezial schmeckte gut- das Ganze noch in reichlich plastik angerichtet, zudem wenig ansprechend sehr eng reingepackt, das können mittlerweile andere Anbieter nachhaltiger und hübscher.- der Verkäufer frug 2 x nach ob ich bar oder mit ec karte zahlen möchte. Auf meine Nachfrage warum das am telefon schon wichtig zu wissen ist, gab es ein Schweigen. Ich gab schliesslich an mit Karte zahlen zu wollen.- ohne kommentar fand ich auf der Rechnung den Posten 1 x zahlungsgebühr für 20 cent. Geht nicht um die 20 cent, aber die Art es zu verschweigen. So kam es zumindest rüber.Persönlich finde ich Gebühren gleich welcher Höhe für EC karte gehen gar nicht.Abschliessend blieb ein fader Beigeschmack was im übrigen auch für das essen galt."

"17 Uhr. Zunächst war KEIN faules und rauchendes Personal zu finden. Viel mehr eine nette aufmerksame Allroundbedienung. Vorspeise und Hauptgang wurden schnell und warm serviert. Geschmack ist Geschmackssache. Bauernpfanne top. Steak aux four ok. Soljanka top. Schlemmerragout ok. Kaffee lecker. 18 Uhr satt und zufrieden. Lokal ist nun voll. Reservierung ab 18 Uhr empfehlenswert. Gerne wieder wenn ich in der Nähe bin."

"We enjoyed our steak with vegetables and turkey with baked potato. Staff were friendly and helpful. My only criticism is the gentleman who took our order (the manager?) offered me water with my wine. I said I would like water from the tap as I believe Germany's water would be totally safe to drink so no need to be unfriendly to the environment by consuming bottled water. The gentleman told me they do not have tap water. Disappointing as I have not had this problem in Germany previously."

"Nice restaurant that gives the impression of serving good cuisine. Unfortunately, the kitchen has prepared scampispies that already spread an unpleasant smell. The superior was completely overwhelmed with my complaint, had to first enquire what to do. As long as the scampisps continue to stink. Then they were finally removed. A word of apology was not part of the style of the house. The rest of the food was fine. The superior might be a little less snorky. After all, a reasonable amount of money was finally required."

"This place has a good location by the water, and really yum pizza for a good price. I´m not easy to please when it comes to food, I ordered spagetti bolognese, and my 7 year old son loved it. I mean you can eat it but the spagetti was a little bit overcooked and I wished some more flavour in the bolognese. So if your into soft food get that dish. But I hope you all feel a little bit naugthy and get yourself a pizza and drain it with parmigiano reggiano and olive oil all on the table, have a bite:)!"

"Ich habe hier mit einer Freundin gefrühstückt. Das Ambiente ist wirklich wunderschön alles ist sehr stilecht und passt wie eine eins! Man kann sich kaum satt sehen an der schönen Einrichtung :) Das Essen war sehr gut. Die Portion des Frühstücks mussten wir etwas verlängern, da wir morgens gern viel essen. Die Auswahl an Aufschnitt, Käse etc. war super und sehr abwechslungsreich. Mein Hund durfte auch mit rein - ein großer Pluspunkt. Später wurde es dann etwas voller, dementsprechend auch ein wenig eng, aber die Bedienung hat sich vorbildlich um uns gekümmert. Am herrlichsten war dann die Torte, die wir zum Schluss noch probiert haben - großartig."

"Zum Stromer ist ein liebevoll renoviertes und ebenso liebevoll betriebenes traditionsreiches Fischrestaurant im ältesten Haus von Warnemünde. Die paar Schritte weg vom allgemeinen Rummel entlang am Alten Strom sind es auf jeden Fall wert. Man sitzt wunderschön in der alten gemütlichen Gaststube. Das Essen von der übersichtlichen Karte war anspruchsvoll und phantasievoll. Wir hatten es ein bisschen feiner und etwas weniger deftig erwartet, aber so ist Ostseeessen eben, deshalb nur 4 und nicht 5 Punkte. Wären die Portionen nicht ganz so groß, könnte man auch mehr Gänge probieren. Der Wein, ein badischer Sauvignon, war herausragend und passte perfekt. Der Service war tadellos, liebenswürdig, schnell, flexibel und professionell. Man fühlt sich willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passte. Auf jeden Fall reservieren! Fazit: Eines der vermutlich besten Fischrestaurants in Warnemünde. Wir kommen sicher wieder."

"We were staying about 3 Km and asked at the ibis budget hotel if there were any Restaurants nearby, the Receptionist recommended this Restaurant.Situated opposite the local train station it is an unassuming restaurant (from the outside). Inside it is full of character with dark coloured wooden beams and faiy low lighting.The menu was quite extensive albeit all in German! (I was under the impression that menu's also had to have an English language version within Europe?) I ordered the Rump Steak, this came with Pommes / Frittes / Fries) on a bed of white onions in a thick onion gravy and a small selection of salad stuff. The piece of meat was a good size and cooked just as I had requested.I chose a local Beer, Rostocker Pils which was delicious. German beer has NO chemicals in it so it is pure and you do not suffer any after effects as a result of drinking too much.Desert was Apfelstrudel (Apple Strudel) which came with Ice Cream and fresh whipped cream. To finish off I had a mug of coffee.Total bill for my meal was 34€40 (exclusive of service) inc;usive of 19% Mwst / VAT (UK) Tax (USA)Staff were very friendly and welcoming; between my limited German and their limited English we all achieved what we wanted meal wise.When I go back to this area I will be sure to return to this restaurant."

"Das Restaurant selbst ist wirklich wunderschön. Ich mag diesen Retrostil. Allerdings waren die Tische mit Lilien dekoriert - lieb gemeint und wunderhübsch , aber doch sehr intensiv im Duft, so dass kein Gast es wagte, drinnen Platz zu nehmen und stattdessen auf die Terrasse flüchtete. Hier war von Flair dann keine Spur mehr, denn man sitzt an einer der größten Straßen der Stadt und hat nun wirklich in keiner Richtung einen schönen Ausblick.Die Karte schreibt, Namenspatronin Helga sei seinerzeit berüchtigt gewesen, für ihre schnelle Bedienung: davon war leider überhaupt nichts zu spüren! Der Laden wurde von genau einer (sehr netten) Dame geschmissen, die sich konsequent weigerte, mehr als eine Bestellung gleichzeitig aufzunehmen: selbst, wenn nur ein Bier am Nachbartisch geordert wurde - dieses wurde erst mit Liebe gezapft bevor man evtl. anschließend Gehör bekam. Wenn man Pech hatte, musste sie aber auch erst noch ein einzelnes Glas zurück ins Haus bringen und arbeitete vier weitere Tische in gleicher Weise ab.Da kann dann wirklich kein Essen der Welt noch etwas rausreißen - ganz davon ab, dass mein Brotsalat weder optisch noch geschmacklich der Burner war. Auch vom Rest der Bagage hörte ich keine Begeisterungsausbrüche - war ok eben.Fazit: hier würde ich kein zweites mal mehr einkehren!"

"Smileys Pizza gehört zu den größten Pizza versorgern der Stadt und das zu recht. Die Pizza kommt schnell und die Lieferanten sind freundlich. Die Auswahl ist übersichtlich aber für jeden etwas dabei. Das Sortiment wird durch Pizza Bröttchen, Desserts und Getränken abgerundet. Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist, dass die Aktionskarte viel zu selten gewechselt wird und hier machen es andere Pizzadienste wesentlich besser... Sonst eine geschmackliche gute Pizza."

"on 02.04.2022 had visited the ratskeller to break with several people. very nice staff. the hot dives might have been hotter, but the offer was good and everyone has found something for their taste. the price/performance ratio was o.k, but it is a pity that an 8-year-old child must pay the full amount of 26,90 € and a kakao is not even included in the price. which has disturbed us most, however, were the cleansing state of the entire restaurant, dirty padded furniture, narrower etage (they have seen especially well when they have gone in the direction of firmer. about the toilets they don't really like to talk about, completely dirty (old dirt/glass, loose toilet glasses, broken P-blades, defective and completely dirty/rossed flush plates, and much more simply disgusting! we hope in the kitchen it is cleaner."

"Located near the port of Rostock and walking distance (5 mins)from the center), this is a typical German brewery/pub and one of the better spots to choose if in the town. We followed the Tripadvisor rating and since we were looking for something traditional this was our natural choice.The atmosphere is a typical one and if you have been to such kind of places in Germany, then you have seen it all. The bar, though, is impressively designed and I enjoyed looking at it. As one could expect the cuisine is the traditional German one, but this time I was pleased to try some really regional ( Hamburg-Northern Germany) meals and somehow I liked it more than what you could have in the south of Germany.The beer is the heart of this place. The variety is big enough to keep you busy all the evening. Generally it was a hit and miss. The dark beers were definitely better, the amber and white ones kind of forgettable ( easy to drink,but not outstanding).The service was quick and friendly, but maybe this was a result of the fact that it was a weekday and it was not busy.As a whole, if you are in Rostock and want to eat local food with beer, this is probably the best place. If you want ,however, something more upscale and fusion, this is not the best option"

"Wir waren heute im Laufe des Tages im L Osteria..Leider wurden wir sehr enttäuscht. Wir entschieden uns für einen Platz vor dem Restaurant..Dort kam traurigerweise keine Bedienung...Gut, kann passieren...Wir bestellten dann Getränke aus der Karte...die in einem schmutzigem Glas und statt 0, 3 Liter gab es gleich 0,5 .Das Essen ließ sehr lange auf sich warten...Obwohl es nicht voll war...Spaghetti Bolognese...hat nach Fertigmischung geschmeckt...und nicht ein einziges ital. Küchenkraut war enthalten...Die Kellnerin kam uns dann noch pampig als wir sie auf die Milliliter aufmerksam machten und dem mit Lippenstift beschmutzen Glas....Wir als Rostocker werden das Lokal in Zukunft meiden...Schade, dass es sowas noch gibt"

"our cruise ship regal princess made in rostock stop. while many people went to berlin, we decided to stay in this beautiful little town. the borwin harbour restaurant was recommended to us by the workers of the radisson hotels when we asked about eating. it is a very rustic and cozy restaurant at the river with beautiful view. we ordered bouillabaisse, which was filled with a lot of fish and seafood ingredients and tasted delicious. we also shared a fish plate that was also fantastic. the bill, including beer, was very reasonable. the personal was friendly. when we left, there was a rain casting and the owner of the restaurant offered us his umbrella. if we return to rostock, we will definitely come back here"

"eating is good, although what is on the menu is not necessarily what ends on the teller. the service is the problem so much personal. all watch one or two waiters working. our antipasti arrived before the aperitif and then nothing happened for the old. when our pasta order was taken, the row of empty glasses should have been a trigger for some more attention, unfortunately, that does not happen. "The restaurant is quiet, yet centrally located in the city centre of Rostock and is easily accessible by train and car. Parking, however, costs money and is limited. A car park is close to the hotel. We had a seat reservation for the indoor area, but should take our seats at once on plastic garden chairs in front of the restaurant in the Heiligengeisthof. Other guests in the interior ultimately had to clear their seats and move to the outside. A conversation was hardly possible, as the music was above average loud. The card is clearly kept, even children's menus are offered. We and other guests had to wait about 90 minutes for the order at noon. A question for over an hour, when the food was coming, there were only some papal answers. During this hour, we were not even asked for new drinks, but also got our drinks, but a beer too little after another 10 minutes, with murky and grim looks. The food was then unpredictable, after 1.5 hours. This is also not surprising when two women stand alone in a camping kitchen and the so-called. It's better to put glasses behind the bar. The food was delicious, the portion size is appropriate to the price. I could have cut the carving with my fingernails, which would have been sharper than the knives provided. After two apple strudels with vanilla ice cream, the ice was all so that not every one of our family could order a portion. Conclusion: Rach der Restauranttester had made his favorite speech: Are you behind what you are doing here?! In my opinion, this restaurant has not grown up to its task. "we were two and the first guests in the local, are 10 minutes after the opening. we sat down and got the card after 10 minutes without hallo. In the meantime, two more tables were filled, which immediately got their drinks and where the waiter also spoke to the guests. "We were short on 10.07.2020, 20:30 am looking for a nice restaurant. So by Google, some information is quickly collected and called in the Kellergeister restaurant whether 6 seats are free and our little dog can go to the restaurant. Friendly staff agreed immediately. Reception was super nice. The dishes were freshly prepared and have very, very tasty taste. The time to eat has made our staff very entertaining with interesting drinks and nice advice to all (also unusual blends) guests. We stayed until 0:30 due to the very pleasant atmosphere. We thank you for having enjoyed a beautiful evening in Rostock due to the Corona circumstances. At our next visit to Rostock definitely again!!"
