"My husband and I visited this restaurant twice during our recent visit to France. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we felt compelled to write a review. The menu is varied and reasonably priced but the best bit was the food and the lovely staff who spoke English and were very helpful in explaining the less familiar dishes. They were both knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu and we felt brave enough to try some more unusual things. On the first visit we both had Truffade, a delicious cheese and potato bake with cured ham which is a local favourite. On the return visit we tried Pounti (like quiche without the pastry- it disappeared pretty promptly!) and pork in a mustard sauce served with lentils and carrot puree that contained a hint of nutmeg followed by a range of local cheeses (can't decide which one to have? Then try them all!). The biggest surprise was how much I enjoyed what I believe was a kind of goats milk yoghurt swirled with a wheatgrass marmalade. The chef, by all accounts, likes to experiment and try new things. We loved what we had, thank you chef! And thanks to the lovely staff who made us feel so welcome."
