"A good traditional and family restaurant. Friendly server with humor. Good cooking quite simple but effective. The accompaniments are a little light (a few potatoes and chipirons) for a maxi note. The house Basque cake was really great, but the part a little too small for a greed like me. You can still go without worry, I recommend it to you."

"In the (for me) overpriced overcrowded area that is the Basque seaside, this place stands out for providing lovely, innovative and amazing food for an honest price. Arriving early on a Saturday afternoon (off peak) we found places though it then quickly filled up. The server was friendly, polite and gave great recommendations which then quickly turned into steaming hot bowls of noodles and rice on our table! I had the udon noodles which were cooked with squash, an exquisite combination, with an excellent soup base! We paired our meals with sides of sashimi (trout), fried cod and pork which was fusion at its best, marrying the fresh Basque ingredients with Japanese cooking styles. This is the place to go if you are in the area! I will be coming back! Vegetarian options: The mains were both vegetarian. Kudos for making the effort to boldly present both mains as vegetarian options!"

"My third most beautiful moment of restoration in the Basque country. Kroketas, ham omelette (with extra piperade request), green salad (because you need to eat some vegetables). Everything is a pleasure, the leader is inventive. He could have put some salad on a plate with olive oil but good, he preferred to add a little cherry tomatoes and tempura onions with my favorite vinaigrette, that of granny, garlic. The omelette was cooked with piperade and ham. The service is efficient and pleasant, nice, polite. The wine map is extra and cheap. Don't go anywhere else in Saint-Jean-de-Luz!!!!"

"Venu en famille dans ce restaurant nous avons tout d'abord bien apprécié l'accueil très chaleureux. Pour les plats, la carte se caractérise par un choix varié de plats régionaux préparés avec des produits tres frais. Nous y avons découvert des artichauts d'Espagne rissolés et aussi le cochon noir de Bigorre. L'omelette aux ceps était aussi tres goûteuse. Bref un tres bon moment pour un prix raisonnable (25€ en moyenne par personne pour un plat un dessert et un verre de vin)."

"Sunday don't forget to book because the customers are for most people in the country. You enter the dining room directly. do not be surprised, during the meal, when the giant fan species that is on the ceiling suddenly starts to work. To wait for the meal, taste the sangria home. The meal (31 euros but we are at Saint Jean de luz) is excellent. it is really a pity that the blow to the "great marnier" is the subject of a supplement to the menu, but it is worth it. Don't be in a hurry, but when it's okay we can wait."

After trying to contact several restaurants, only this one had availability and we were delighted because from the aperitif to dessert we were conquered. prices are in correlation with the quality of products, very well mastered cooking and homemade desserts with a lot of taste. We highly recommend this restaurant, you will not regret in addition to the excellent cuisine you will have a pleasant decoration in addition to a pleasant staff."

"Nous sommes arrivés à 12... les bras chargés de sacs de boutiques luziennes de bon standing donc des clients qui potentiellement pouvaient consommer... notre erreur : avoir dit que nous venions boire un verre et pas grignoter. Du coup nous nous sommes faits jeter de la terrasse, direction l'intérieur du bar ! Et là après la commande on nous annonce que l'endroit est réservé et qu'il nous reste 20 mn pour finir notre verre... et partir !! Sur 12 nous sommes 2 locaux avec des amis venus de Belgique à qui nous avons décrit le Corsaire comme l'endroit où il fallait aller... du coup nous sommes partis chez Renauld et y avons passé la soirée !!!"

"very nice surprise, atypical and pleasant, we went there a little by chance, the reception by two young women was very friendly, the continuation of the meal by a young man just as attentive, we resume to let temptation by the fried asparagus in panko, and the salmonette in the broth, which say separated ... bravo! "Firstly Id say that if there really are over 100 better restaurants in Saint Jean de Luz than Chez Theo then thats only a fine compliment on the quality of establishments in the town. We had 3 fine set menus for only 20 euros, if slightly concerned about the speed at which they were served. Prawns were plentiful, Gaspazcho was sound if not spectacular, salad was fresh and generous. Fillet of Hake with veg was beautiful, Paella a bit safe. All puddings delicious (blancmange, pannacotta, fondant). Recommended for a no risk dinner with the hake the highlight, they know how to cook fish."

"Good meal with good fish! The black point: no ice cubes because the machine is out, it can happen but it is necessary to serve fresh and non-heated water. The carafes of water closed they could have been put at the expense of the least since they had no ice! Given the heat we do the necessary damage... being in the restoration we find a solution."

"The food was delicious, we had the Pappardelle Bolognese and Du Frioul pizza. We made the mistakes of sitting outside, after we had finished it took them over 20 minutes to clear our plates. I wouldn’t advise sitting outside, as it does feel like your are forgotten about when the restaurant is busy. A shame as the food was great!"
