"this is a beautiful traditional French restaurant. make sure they book first as it is a small restaurant. we went for the set menus they would expect that the portions would be somewhat smaller but they are not. house top to start with and a terrine. of candy both great. bottle single domaine sancerre was brilliant and only 27 euro. then a beautiful calvados sorbet, the main course was a calf head with a scab sauce and metzgers steak with pfefferkorn sauce (steak was huge). then it was too cold. filo basket with caramel and a soufflé bigmarnier could have been a but stronger with bigmarnier. then a beautiful sarg and everything for almost 90 euro. madame serves alone and is brilliant. traditional French eating to its best and worth every penny and can see why they are number one."
