"What a lovely place to enjoy the pleasure of wholesome cuisine. And it's not only about the delicious food, also the place itself is an added value experience. The terrace the inner restaurant are a beautiful place to have a relaxing dinner, inspiring breakfast, or light lunch. At Agrivilla I Pini you can taste gourmet Vegan cuisine. The food is carefully balanced in flavors and textures and also in the flow of how the dishes on the menu follow one another. One of the main aspects of their cuisine is in the way of growing their food. They are not careful only about eco and bio origin, but also about the energy of the food and in what way is produced. They are careful that good energy is shared across each stage of growing and producing the food, and therefore, the taste and the nourishing aspect of the ingredients has the highest value. The love for the whole process is felt and tasted on the final plate. If you take a holiday there you will notice their beautiful rich garden and also the work that they put in it, so we can truly appreciate the flow from growing the ingredient to the moment it is served on our plate. They keep traditional Italian dishes in the heart, which are made with a twist, as they put the usual side ingredients into the spotlight and surprise with the flavors. Dishes with Artichokes, potatoes, and homemade pasta are a real joy. I enjoyed the most in their Thursday Pizza Night, where they serve a variety of homemade, fresh baked pizza in vegan style simply delicious and inspiring combinations! I also liked the rich selection of nonalcoholic drinks especially their teas from fresh herbs from their garden. They produce their own Olive oil with Hortus seal. They also offer a variety of selected bio wines from the region and of their production. They are simply almost self sufficient when it comes to food."

"This place was my ancestral home and so the commentary may include some bias. My Italian cousins found the place while looking for a missing painting. The painting is still missing but we found this majestic and perfect villa with an accompanying landscape marked by...lavender, rosemary, fruit filled trees, oranges, lemons, tomatoes and vineyards. Needless to say the wine was magnificent. The red was my favorite but everyone also seemed to enjoy the white. Upon arrival we were greeted by Grazia who could not have been more accommodating. A true professional with regards to customer service. Everywhere we turned the beauty of the place and the landscape was mesmerizing. The air was filled with all these wonderful scents and the architectural splendor of the villa and surrounding buildings melted perfectly into the landscape. The current owners restored this place to its former glory and actually improved upon it because everything works perfectly well now. One can see there was a great deal of time and effort dedicated to this place and a thoughtful restoration was performed. The rooms are large. The bathrooms are great and the beds are comfortable. The dinner consisted of an antipasto, a soup course, a pasta course and the secondo which was usually a meat dish. The finale was a dessert and the wine flowed. You will definitely want to eat at least breakfast and dinner at the Torraccia because it is up on top of the hill. I would not drive the gravel road at night. It is basically a one lane road. I had a Smart Car and it was fine but not to be driven late at night. The staff gives you a big glass bottle of water at night with glasses and a friendly buon riposo. In the morning the breakfast consists of meats, breads, homemade jams, fruit salad, croissants, homemade tortes, cheeses, cereal and yogourt. There is clearly something for everyone. One negative....in a land of excellent coffee the coffee was american style. I asked for an espresso and it was decent but not great. Another small negative is the hair dryer. You will have a challenge trying to style your hair with this unit because as soon as you pull on it it goes on and then when it slacks it shuts itself off. I pulled my hair back in a ponytail after trying the first day to dry it. When you are there, the pool is great. I went for a AM swim and San Gimignano is in the background. What a great workout. Do NOT miss San Gimignano, or Siena. Siena's Piazza del Campo is the most beautiful piazza in all the world, second is the Pantheon in Roma. I took my daughter to Volterra and we enjoyed both the drive and the town. I left the Torraccia at AM and was at the Rome Train Station at AM. It is an easy ride on the (Florence to Rome toll road). The owners of the Torraccia are incredibly hospitable and regal in nature and I was honored to have met them. I know they deserve this special place and by welcoming others make the experience more globally appreciated. They are the perfect family to carry on the wonderful traditions my own family enjoyed for centuries here. I highly recommend the agriturismo for anyone wanting to relax amidst the Tuscan countryside."
