"Driving back from Montepulciano to Siena, we decided to stop for a lunch somewhere by a chance. Suddenly we saw this Castle, Hotel, Restaurant next to the road in a bend and we decided this will be our place. Perfect decision. Very polite staff, Chef made his recommendation by himself so we felt ourselves well from the very beginning. And the food…amazing. The steak, the ravioli, the lamb and the pizza (with apple, fat bacon and onion) all were so much delicious which we sometime just can hope to enjoy, but difficult to find. Including the special home made bread as a side dish. And the deserts…excellent. Including my new favourite Sfogliatelle. And costwise reasonable. We paid similar amount for a lunch on the next day in San Gimignano and I can say the quality, the service and the whole impression is so much different. Of course in the favour of La Locanda del Castello. If you are near there, definitely try it."
