"My husband I thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit to Michael’s. It’s not in a particularly attractive location has a view of an apartment block but this small restaurant is beautifully appointed with views of the chef in his kitchen. The food was excellent. We shared a starter of burratta with tomatoes which was creamy fresh tasting. For mains we shared sea bass, the catch of the day, the burger- both of which were really tasty . We finished with a lemon meringue dessert one that had flavours of peanuts chocolate. We sought the advice of our waiter re the least acidic Albariño were very happy with his choice. Would definitely recommend you try this restaurant."

"Lovely dinner during a weekend in Sanxenxo. This place is just off the malecon. It is a small place and very upmarket. No booking but the owner squeezed us in between strings. Keeping it simple we ordered 2 rape a la plancha and 3 lubina a la plancha. Served with potatoes and greens. The portions were generous, fish cooked to perfection, not too salty either. The quality of the fish was really outstanding. Washed down with some cold Albamar (albariño). Quality costs money... Madrid prices. If you go during the summer you must make a reservation."

"O Buraco es un restaurante pequeñito, aunque tiene una terraza con vistas al puerto de Portonovo. Ofrece cocina gallega tradicional y sus especialidades son la caldeirada de rape, la caldeirada de raya, las carnes de ternera gallega, la empanada de zamburiñas y los postres caseros. Su principal inconveniente es que siempre está lleno, a pesar de que un par de veces que he cenado allí, tampoco es que la comida fuera lo más de lo más: la merluza a la gallega estaba seca, las vieiras no me gustaron demasiado, los chipirones tampoco, la empanada estaba reseca y el servicio, regular. Lo mejor: el pulpo a la gallega. Estaba delicioso."

"Llegamos a las 14:40 preguntamos por el menú y nos dijeron que tenían que preguntar, que el menú era solo hasta las 14:30,le dijimos que acabábamos de llegar de viaje y que no había problema, el camarero contestó con simpleza como diciendo que a él que le contábamos... Por fin preguntó y nos dice que sí pero con un tono como si nos estuviera perdonando la vida. Por cierto tengo que decir que la otra camarera era encantadora. Menú 13 euros bastante normal lo mejor las vistas. Según estábamos comiendo el resto de la gente que llegó comió menú sin ningún problema ni historia.... Si no quieren vender menú que no lo tengan pero que traten a todo el mundo por igual y sin tonterías. El pescado frito muy fresco."

"El restaurante casa Alvarito tiene una calidad increíble, empezando por el servicio, en el que todos los camareros (uno de ellos el dueño) realizan una labor excepcional. En cuanto a la comida está todo muy bueno y cuidado, pedimos varios platos para compartir: son productos de calidad de la zona con mucho sabor; recomendamos además animarse al postre, ya que las tartas son una delicia. Hay algunos platos como los arroces que deben ser pedidos con antelación, esperamos poder repetir para probarlos. Se nota que es un negocio familiar que lleva tres generaciones y tienen gran conocimiento del sector. En cuanto a las instalaciones dispone de terraza y el interior con aire acondicionado, con mesas grandes y sillas cómodas. Además tiene parking disponible para facilitar la llegada al local. Por último añadir que la relación calidad precio es muy buena. Esperamos repetir pronto!"

"Average place. it looks like it has seen better days. The staff is friendly though, but the food was subpar. The chipirones were not cleaned (had inner bone and some sand), and were rather oily. The clams were rubbery, and the bread was surprisingly stale. We had 3 cuts of beef (churrasco, croca and chuleta). All were overcooked and dry. Desserts were average, but on the positive side, they seem to have a Nespresso machine, so coffee was good."

"Tiene terraza, sala abajo y sala superior. Arriba hacia bastante calor. Paramos 2 ocasiones. Una pedimos tortilla, pimientos del padrón, y jamon asado. La tortilla y los pimientos estupendos. El jamon viene con patatas, la salsa esta buena. Eramos 2 adultos y un niño, diria incluso que mucha cantidad para cenar. La otra vez pedimos, pulpo, almejas y gambas. El pulpo muy bien, las almejas normales y las gambas estaban buenas y son una buena ración. Unos 50€."

"We had a dinner here twice in our stay in Sanxenxo. The place is very busy. The customeres are all spanish, waiteres are straggling with English. The place works in weird manner... There are tree areas restaurant, snack bar inside and outside sitting. They would not let us sit in the restaurant arguing that it all reserved, yet, during our dinner in snack bar area, we saw very little movent there... This happened twice. However the snack bar is owerflowing with people.. The food is delicious and very well presented. Accompany it with a bottle of Mar de Frades and you will not be disappointed. There is Wi Fi."
