"Since October 1991, when I met my wife, we regularly come to this very beautiful Greek restaurant. We have witnessed how Martina and Thomas Bochtis have repeatedly transformed this place to offer as authentic Greek cuisine as possible. The children of the two have taken over the tradition of the house some time ago and managed to create another level that does not exist again in a wide range. The kitchen, service and the ideas of distribution of the original Greek products oil, wine etc. is a successful combination and makes the restaurant a unique place of well-being. We are pleased that we will continue to visit both the local and the beer garden in the future with our family, friends and acquaintances and spend a great time with friends. "We were in town for weeks for a project at a local manufacturing company. We went to La Locanda multiple times as we were working late hours and it was close by. And because of the situation at work, we never left in the...evening at a scheduled time. It was variable each day. That meant no reservations. Despite that, we were greeted like family each and every time we went there. We speak very little German and they speak very little English but we were always able to communicate effectively, even down to menu recommendations. The food was amazing and was a great value. There are of us so we have tried many things on the menu. Nothing disappointed! Everyone agrees that it is our favorite restaurant in town. I would highly recommend a visit to La Locanda!"

"Ein Restaurant wo man nicht willkommen ist! Der Inhaber sitzt lustlos mit einem grimmigen Gesicht an der Theke und begrüßt die Gäste nicht. Wir wollten mit 5 Personen einen netten Abend im Restaurant verbringen. Allerdings wurden wir sehr schlecht empfangen. Eine Bedienung sagte im forschen Ton zu einem aus unsere Gruppe, dass man nicht mit Lebensmitteln ein Restaurant betritt. Der Kollege hatte lediglich eine saure Pommes (Gummibärchen) in der Hand. Daraufhin verließen wir das Restaurant und besuchten das italienische Ristorante im Rathaus Unna und fühlten uns sehr gut aufgehoben. Wer auf 5 zahlende Kunden verzichtet ist selber Schuld! Ristorante Pizzeria Taormina NIE WIEDER!!!"

"If you want to visit a pub in unna, you should go there. actually it is more than that. You can celebrate there and eat properly. the dishes are mostly mediteran, the drinks international. at the weekend, before celebrations as well as on days like rosenmontag, the load is rugged and the mood super. the prices are normal. "We went there for dinner on Christmas Day. As always on days like this, there was a huge rush here too. The staff handled everything in a very professional manner so that everyone could take their seats quickly. Our order was taken quickly. The food also came very quickly. "we were here for the first time and will come back. delicious tapas, well seasoned and nicely presented. we had tasty sweets in super tomato sauce, meatballs, olives, gambas in garlic, cheese with honey, Spanish carrots with dips, brot with aioli and sepia. everything was very tasty, was served without a long wait period. wee were good, we had white rioja. we sat in the beer garden directly at the house, had reserved and felt very comfortable there. a second outside area is still in front of the house, is then closer to the road. service was very friendly. parking directly at the house is difficult."

"During a visit to the beautiful little town of Unna, the lovingly executed houses and sights were beautiful to look at, but did not get tired, and so we returned to and from the 'Ristorante Pizzeria Canape'. The back and forth had to do with the prices on the hanging menu, I myself found those not so much exaggerated, because I know some places that are definitely more expensive. The guest room was very cozy, but modern, furnished, the tables were redesigned after every meal (table cloth change as we could observe. We chose Scallopine Valdostana, these are cheese-baked carvings with mushrooms. There were two supplements to choose from. I decided for salad with Balsamico Dressing and Pommes Frites, which I felt sorry later when I tried the noodles that the others had chosen. Since the dishes had to be freshly prepared, we were provided daily newspapers for the waiting period, which we liked to accept. As a tempting and squirting drink, I had as always mineral water (room temperature!), the other Italian wine. The food was an anger, the meat was as tender as I have rarely experienced and that at the price of 11,50€ per person. I noticed the very different pictures on the walls that I really liked. When I spoke to our waiter (probably the business owner, it turned out to be his works. He was really pleased about the spontaneous compliment. Interesting was that he said he was so used to the pictures that he didn't really notice them anymore. Not because of the pictures, but because of the excellent dishes, service and cleanliness, I can only recommend the canape. I still have to say that there are all foods for taking away."

"I must have eaten 25 times in this restaurant in my regular visits to Unna, but this is the best food outlet for me. Angelo, the owner, is an excellent guy who knows what guests want and he delivers them 100%. He works with couples who are fantastic people whose hospitality cannot be compared with any other food outlet in Unna. Each dish you order is more than expected in taste, quantity and presentation. If you are looking for the best Italian gourmet, don't look further. Try it and you will not be disappointed."
