"Firstly I would like to say that in May we had a super day on this beach, the owner/managers were very helpful, smiles all round and chatty. We had booked via Groupon and enjoyed a free cocktail before lunch, we then went on to have lunch coffees and ice cream later on in the day.Fast forward to August and it was a very different story- The guy on reception was not so pleasant, then the young chap who was to show us to our transat looked down his nose when he was told we'd booked via Groupon!!! We were given the choice of at the back or at the back!! no smiles no can I get you anything nothing!!Ok no problem we were there in the sun comfortable except when we tried to get his attention for coffee , again no smile just a shrug and show of irritation.we were all please and thank you thinking maybe he was having bad day!!Nearer lunchtime we dared to ask for our cocktail, he could not have been more unpleasant delivering it with a bang on the table. We asked for the menu (plan was to spend the day)and then we asked for the menu again after half an hour (baring in mind he had to walk past us each time because we were at the back!).One menu was brought over and handed over without even looking at us, we waited and waited for him to take the order-No chance!!My friend was feeling the sun a bit so tried to position her transat at an angle to get in the shade of the parasol in front (having been told they were fully booked the beach was half empty)which she managed without bothering anyone (the row in front of us was empty so we were not upsetting anyone).Through the morning we had watched this young man meet and greet clients with smiles and "where would you like to sit? is this ok? can I get you anything? call me if you need anything?"etc etcA group of ladies came down trying to decide where they wanted to sit then wanting a transat moved, young chap all smiles and patient (clearly they had not booked via Groupon)and when they asked for extra parasol he just looked over and took the one my friend was sitting under so obvious that she was using it and being as there were sooo many not in use!!!! For me that was the end, we decided to go along to another beach to eat ( plenty to choose from).I went up to pay for our coffee, the owner came over all smiles and happy (shame he was'nt running the beach) the young man ran over "Groupon Groupon and they've had their cocktails" to the owner!!!I asked if the coffee was more expensive if we booked via Groupon? and I'm happy to pay it!! No No he said slightly confused I think. All I can add is if they do not want Groupon customers on the beach then don't advertise with them!!! We live here all year round and after spending a great day in May we thought we'd do the same in August (we have a large choice of beaches here). We will not be using this beach again in or out of season and after the goodwill of the owner the young man they employed has ruined it."

Nous verrons bien sur revenir souvent.ENGLISH:It's a lovey cute and very new restaurant in Golfe Juan. A little bit hidden on a road up to the Rue National 7 and the setting is basic indeed. The Owner, a french man in his "prime years" is full of almost British humor and really very customer oriented. The Chef - Mrs. Mai Linh, his wife is from Saigon, Vietnam and she knows how to cook, by all means. It's proof that the place, or the setting is less important if the customer service and the food is excellent. We can only say BRAVO !You try the "Plat de Jour" or the standard menu - both are a bit adapted to European taste (nothing wrong with that) but all ingredients are top fresh and cooked with heart! This alone is already not easy to find in any restaurant along the Cote d'Azur. Prices are reasonable and the overall experience is unbeatable in Golfe Juan. We had a great food experience but also an outstanding customer experience. This little restaurant offers "custom made authentic Vietnam cuisine" - you tell Mai Linh 24 hours in advance and she will cook you something special - outside of the standard menu - we did that yesterday for the first time and we loved it absolutely. We just sat down and had 3 dishes that SHE PREPARED - not knowing what we will get served - that is indeed a very special service !Standard menus are at 10-15 Euro and the "special dinner" for us came at around 35 per person with soft drinks/beer already included - quite reasonable if you think that she has to marinate and prepare your dish the evening before you come. What a surprise - we love it and will happily return many times in the future."
