"We were rejected from another Hungarian restaurant (the woes of failure to make a reservation the previous night when we could have walked right in.. so we ended up here on Saturday night. I will say the bruschetta was one of the best I've ever...had. Nice light garlic taste, good tomatoes, red onion, and spices. I'd definitely eat that again. They served Budweiser (not the American garbage, but real Budvar from Czech Republic) that was quite a nice surprise. My wife opted for minestrone starter and pizza margherita. I had pizza adria. I thought my wife's pizza a bit plain and just tasted like a cheese pizza. I liked my adria (without mushrooms and liked the fact that the pizzas were NOT huge as in some places. The size was just right for one person for a meal. The minestrone was good; we've had better and we've had worse. All in all, a decent place but I'd not look to eat here or recommend to other."

"Waren heute am Muttertag dort, haben last-minute noch einen Tisch für sechs bekommen. Wunderschöne Lage, direkt an der Lahn, große Terrasse mit ausreichend Schatten. Leider darf man dort rauchen, daher ein Stern weniger. Dies wird aber von der Qualität der Speisen Getränke sowie dem super organisierten, sehr aufmerksamen und überaus freundlichen Servus mehr als ausgeglichen. Wirklich ein tolles Restaurant, wir kommen gerne wieder!"

"We were visiting Wetzlar as my wife was working in Marburg and needed some lunch. I had hoped that we could eat at the Fest on Kornmarkt but had a contingency. And that was La Piazza, who were doing the Kornmarkt catering anyway. I read the reviews and the only negatives seemed to come from groups.Firstly, the interior is VERY tasteful. Modern Italian with a touch of country déco but most pleasant. The food too was superb - my wife's country pasta was scrumptious and there were no problems about getting spaghetti with butter and Parmesan for my son. My pizza base looked a little mass produced but had actually clearly been freshly-made. There was also an excellent choice of wines.The waitress (my guess was the boss) did seem a *little* off-hand but we still got everything we wanted and with no problems (my guess is that the fair outside might have been a stress factor).Would I go here again or recommend it? Yes, I would."

"Normalerweise schätzen mein Mann und ich auf Reisen die regionale Küche. Beim Palais haben wir eine Ausnahme gemacht. Auf der Suche nach einem schönen hessischen Lokal in Wetzlar kamen wir per Zufall am Palais vorbei und studierten die Karte mit den türkischen Gerichten. Wir waren hocherfreut, mal was anderes als Döner zu bekommen. Außerdem war die Lahnterrasse geöffnet, was uns an diesem lauen Frühlingsabend sehr willkommen war. Das Essen war lecker und die Portionen absolut ausreichend. Zu meiner Freude habe ich noch eine Lieblingsvorspeise, Ezme, aus meinen Türkeiurlauben wiederentdeckt. So ein Lokal hätte ich auch gerne bei mir zu Hause."

"Came from the US on a business trip. My colleague and I stayed at a hotel nearby. When he suggested the Fischerhutte we both thought it was a seafood place. To our surprise, it was a Greek restaurant. Not knowing what to order, we asked...the waitress to bring us their most popular dishes. Started off with meat wrapped in a vine leaf!! I can say that I have never had something more delicious!!!! The flavors in it were so incredible. Then we had a sampler plate of all their dishes. Wow!!! Absolutely wonderful!!! I have travelled all over the world, ate at many places, and have never had better food. You won't want to miss this place!!"

"we were once again in the anker for dinner tonight. positiw were the friendly services, the ofenkartoffel, the pizza toscana and the intention. the rustiko beef burger was ok. the flesh was unevenly grilled on one side a light pink core on the other side too. the bread was very light in taste and fits well with the almost unproven meat. alone with the cheddar cheese the meat has tasted very well. also in combination with the bacon was the taste great. but if you have taken the red tweebelchutney and the dijon senfsauce was nothing more from the meat to taste cheddarkäse. Unfortunately, the burger was only lukewarm and not like everything else hot. the steakhouse fries were good. pizza toscana was tastefully super as with italian and the open potatoes was perfectly made with a super green sauce."

"Der Name des Restaurants und das Gebäude gegenüber dem Wetzlarer Dom sind typisch deutsch. Tritt man ein, ist man aber sofort in einer anderen Welt. Willkommen in Italien!Die Besitzerfamilie Filipelli und ihre Angestellten sind wunderbare Gastgeber. Sie leben für die feine italienische Küche und machen regelmäßig gastronomische Bildungsreisen in ihr Heimatland. Das sich das lohnt, kann man an der Speisen- und der Weinkarte ablesen. Mit dem Lesen sollte man sich aber nicht zu lange aufhalten. Das bildet zwar, macht aber nicht satt. Und die Düfte, die aus der Küche kommen, sind einfach zu verführerisch. Als Vorspeise empfehle ich das Fischcarpaccio (Lachs, Seeteufel, Thunfisch), das man in dieser Qualität nur selten auf den Tisch bekommt. Generell ist die Küche des Restaurants für seine Fisch- und Meeresfrüchtespeisen zu recht berühmt. Die Produkte sind immer frisch und werden auf natürliche und raffinierte Weise zubereitet. Ebenfalls sehr empfehlenswert sind die hausgemachten Pasta. Herrlich locker und bei der passenden Nudelauswahl sehr lecker gefüllt. Die Weinkarte lässt nicht zu wünschen übrig. Auf die Empfehlungen der Besitzer und der erfahrenen Kellner kann sich der Gast verlassen. Das gilt auch für die hervorragende Auswahl an Grappas. Wir waren in den vergangenen 12 Monaten dreimal in Wetzlar und dreimal beim Wirt am Dom. Schon beim zweiten Besuch nach einigen Monaten wurden wir wie Stammgäste begrüßt. Wie gesagt: Wunderbare Gastgeber.Ein Tipp noch. Da das Restaurant (mit wunderschöner Terrasse im Sommer) sehr beliebt ist, empfiehlt sich eine Reservierung."

"Mit 5 bzw. 7 Personen waren wir innerhalb weniger Tage das erste, das zweite und dann auch das letzte Mal im La Terazza. Der erste Besuch an einem Samstag Abend war rundum gut, wobei insbesondere der aufmerksame Service gelobt werden muss. das La Terazza hat eine tolle große Terasse, diese war gut besucht. Der Service war mit 3 Personen sehr zuvorkommend. Die Gerichte (Pizza, Sepia, Schnitzel, Schweinefilet) waren bis auf den nicht krossen Pizzaboden gut. Der zweite Besuch am darauffolgenden Donnerstag (Feiertag) war ein einzige Enttäuschung. Die Terasse war voll besetzt, der Service mit nur 2 Personen zu langsam und unaufmerksam. Wir waren zu Siebt und hatten innerhalb von 2 Stunden jeweils 1 Getränk und das nicht weil wir keinen Durst hatten...Die bestellten Gerichte kamen rund 50-55 Minuten nach Bestellung, das ist bei gut bürgerlicher Küche eindeutig zuviel. Erstaunlicherweise (eventuell gibt es an verschiedenen Tagen, verschiedene Köche) waren die meisten Gerichte schlecht. D.h. nahezu kaum gewürzt. Ein Salat mit Rindfleischstreifen war sehr schlecht, das Dressing war nicht abgeschmeckt und das Fleisch war einfach nur zäh und trocken. Die Pommes Frites zu einigen Gerichten waren matschig und nicht kross, die Spaghetti Alio Olio schmeckten nicht nach Knoblauch und waren viel zu scharf. Eine Beschwerde wurde mit dem Kommentar "ich sage es dem Koch" abgetan...Der gute erste Eindruck konnte bei weitem nicht bestätigt werden, schade. Vielleicht ist es tagesformabhängig, dann wünsche ich viel Glück, wir werden wohlkaum wieder kommen."

"restaurant for golden ross in wetzlar. super nice that they can enjoy eating again restless! I had the Cordon-Bleu with pommes and a salat only for: 10,90 €. the panning on the cordon bleu only sensational. spicy, pommes also good. on the plate was still cauliflower with a sauce holondaise, super in taste. honest people:. so good I have tasted a flower cauliflower for a long time! salad fresh with a really good dressing made. so absolutely recommended. the golden rust you have to visit in wetzlar for everyone."

"Also ich kann die vielen negative Bewertungen nicht ganz verstehen. Ich, meine Freunde, Familie gehen regelmäßig dort essen. Meistens Sonntag mittags zum mongolischen BBQ. Man findet eine gute Auswahl an rohen Fleisch und Fisch/Meeresfrüchten was frisch im Wok für einen gebraten wird. Die Auswahl an den bereits fertigen Speisen ist ebenfalls total lecker, Vorspeisen wie Suppe oder Sushi wird man hier auch finden . Der Nachtisch ist übersichtlich aber Okay, 3 - 4 Eissorten Früchte, Kuchen und Süßkram stehen hier zu Verfügung. Die Bedienung ist immer freundlich und auf zack, das Buffet wird immer aufgefüllt und deine leeren Teller abgeräumt. Ich selber habe hier noch nie aus der Karte bestellt weil das Buffet einfach alles bietet. Mein Fazit ist : Wer großen Hunger hat und anständig chinesisches/Mongolisch essen gehen will, ist hier genau richtig.Einfach mal ausprobieren und selber ein Bild machen!"

"Eine grundgenervte Servicekraft, welche Speisebestellung die Frage nach Ketchup zu Kinderschnitzel mit etwa Bei uns gibt es nur Tsatsiki mit Ton und Ausdruck quittiert, das meiner Tochter (12) bereits der Hunger vergangen ist. Die Frage nach Brot wurde mit Warum? retourniert. Im weiteren Verlauf wurde es nicht besser. Falsch in diesem Job oder einen sehr schlechten Tag. Was allerdings aus der Küche kam, war qualitativ wirklich gut. Lammfilet top gebraten Calamari die nicht in Panade untergehen Bifteki lecker Ebenso Anrichtung und Beilagen."

"Fange ich mal mit dem Essen an, Wiener Schnitzel mit Gemüse und Rosmarin Kartoffeln Für den Preis erwarte ich das die Panade fluffig ist und nicht eine Einheit mit den beiden Schnitzelchen . Sah mir nach Kalbsmedaillons aus die in auf Größe planiert wurden. Das Gemüse war nach kurzer Zeit kalt, die Kartoffeln haben nach Kartoffeln ohne jegliches Salz geschmeckt. Der Salat sah groß aus was er auch war,aber nicht der Burner Nun zum Service,man erwartet das man nach Getränke gefragt wird wenn einem die Speisekarte gebracht wird, erwartung nicht erfüllt. Essen war schnell (ca 8 bis 10 min)da. Die Teller wurden zeitnah abgeräumt und dann saßen wir da erstmal so das wir nach ca 15 min selber an den Thresen gingen zum bezahlen. Man hätte zb nach einem Nachtisch oder Cappuccino ect fragen Können aber nein. Das Ambiente ist schön aber reißt das ganze nicht raus. Das Gesamtpaket für uns nicht nochmal."

"I only know the delivery service. Until a time when it was not delivered, I am very happy. The food is really good. MC D does not come with the citizens. I had a grill plate today for 1ne people who would have been loose for two. The meat of well roasted pumice still crispy and a delicious salad with it. As always my mother had the Orient Plate for a person as an appetizer. The baked sheep cheese is freshly plastered and d not only a TK chest. Properly good si d also the filled mushrooms with sheep cheese. The mixed fish plate is also highly recommended. The fish, although delivered, is not fried dead. A pleasure is the noodles, they still bite and are not as smooth as with most delivery services. The sauces for the carvings are freshly cooked and very tasty. Because there are many herbs, it's not mine. Prices are always fast and hot. You also get a better quality."

"Some addresses seem to divorce the spirits: either one is appalled or is totally enthusiastic. With this Italian in the old town of Wetzlar you can claim that if you look at the opinions about the net. With us the experience is somewhere in between. Due to such very ambiguous representations, we (until every exception spontaneously chose a local. What surprised us at Ristorante Pizzeria La Sera was that despite a high-quality interior and fabric napkins there the prices are very cheap! None of the dishes were more expensive than 10 €! But what we missed a little was attention (especially when we asked for the bill)! The other point we did not like was that the people who came to us became much later than we should be the case with a comparable menu choice. One thing I think is important that the toilets are not accessible to disabled people! Actually, a band would be attributable to me, but because my partner felt that the stairs should be very steep and narrow, I had completely dispensed with them. So I can assume that due to the order I was simply ignored by the service that there are no more than 3 stars in it, even if it was super tasty and was in abundant. What do you do if a potential favorite is no longer existent: you are looking for something else. In the old town of Wetzlar there is a selection where this would actually be possible. Unfortunately, as so often, not all are open. An exception was La Sera. During our visit there were tables both inside and outside. They are covered with white tablecloths and red table runners. The very artfully folded fabric napkins have left an impression as if we could not afford it there! Such details can be created “head cinema”, which leads to the assumptions that prove to be not true when viewed more closely! Luckily, even if the weather is not so dolle on the extended weekend, a look into the shop window has more than rewarded! At the beginning of the service (still wonderfully working: very fast we got the cards and after a short time we decided: as an appetizer the filled mushrooms with soft cheese baked 6 €. What was a little from the map that came with a tomato sauce. I could keep the salad dress for myself: but since I was also cold running in the rain, a tomato soup for me. She was one of the best I had on an Italian! The 5 € are therefore not worth mentioning, especially when served in a pasta dish. Beautiful allies, with small pieces and what had additionally worshipped me that she was a little sharp! This was a successful start, which unfortunately was not continued in the same way during the early evening. That's a shame. In the (family images on the walls we would have one (which could be heard loud); Italian much better service! This was shown mainly in the (non-existent beverage delivery! I had a white wine choir. With my partner, on the other hand, it has remained with a glass of lime for this reason, even if he wants to order more! As the main course we ordered pizzas: for me a vase with fresh vegetables (Champignons, Zucchini, Paprika, tomatoes for 9.50 and for my accompaniment a “Hawaii” which cost 9 €. Both were very generously occupied, beautiful pink and steaming hot. Just delicious! After a very long and explorative day there was still a little space for a dessert. I had a long time for a Cassatta. I ordered them, too. This Sicilian speciality is rare in such locals. Our expectations were therefore high. For those who don't know, it's an ice specialty with candied fruits. Not only that it was a finished product (that alone would have been less disappointing, but that it (possibly due to improper storage full of ice crystals... After an extensive meal we would like to pay our bill in time, but only after several questions and the corresponding waiting period it was possible. As always, it's a snapshot. If we come back to Wetzlar, there will be a rehearsal! As mentioned at the outset, we would like to award 3 stars here."

"Although we attended on a busy evening and ordered food that took some time, the food was well worth the wait! The children enjoyed watching the bread being made and everyone enjoyed their food, including the leftovers we brought home. My husband and I each ordered large entrees, the children had 'kinder sandwiches' which are smaller doners, we shared a 'pide' with turkish sausage and egg and all had a couple soft drinks and our meal was a total 38 euros! The restaurant isn't fancy, but family friendly, and is a nice escape from schnitzel and sausages."

"Vorweg: Angesichts der anderen Bewertungen hatten wir vielleicht einfach Pech, ich möchte aber dennoch etwas konstruktive Kritik los werden:Wir waren zu dritt dort und hatten Flammkuchen im Pizza-Style, Rindsroulade und Edelsäcker (eine hessische Spezialität).Flammkuchen war ganz in Ordnung, aber die Rindsroulade war innen eiskalt, kam also offenbar vorbereitet aus der Kühlung, wurde dann aber mangelhaft aufgewärmt. Schade, dass das Aufwärmen auch nach Reklamation nicht funktioniert hatte. Der Edelsäcker sollte eigentlich aus einem Kotelettstück mit Sauerkrautfüllung bestehen und langsam im Ofen geschmort sein, das Fleisch war jedoch nicht weich geschmort, sondern sah mehr nach einem zusammengeklappten und angebratenem Schweinesteak aus, wodurch das Fleisch aber relativ hart war und nicht durchgegart wirkte. Das lässt sich meiner Meinung nach besser machen. Man arbeitet also offenbar wenigstens teilweise mit sehr weitgehend vorbereiteten Produkten (Roulade). Dafür aber war die Wartezeit von gut über einer halben Stunde deutlich zu lang. Positiv hervorzuheben ist allerdings der Service, der sehr freundlich und aufmerksam war, und dass man sich für das Missgeschick mit der Roulade mit einem Espresso entschuldigte. Fazit: Das Aufwärmen der Rouladen verbessern, den Edelsäcker am Stück fertig garen, Füllung etwas binden, damit sie beim Portionieren nicht herausfällt, einzelne Scheiben lassen sich dann gut aufwärmen und sind (durch das Sauerkraut) auch noch zarter."
