"I booked this restaurant as we were staying at Legoland for my son’s birthday. I had read reviews that the Legoland hotel was not worth the money. So after some research and looking at menus GOGOs seemed the place to go. I originally booked for 4:45pm 2 adults 2 children but called on the day and asked if we could arrive at 6pm, I was told it was no problem. We arrived at the restaurant for 5:45pm. it’s on a beautiful marina and backs on to a race course. Walking over to the restaurant there were people outside, part of a party blocking the pathway. We sat down and were asked what drinks we would like, and served our drinks. My husband felt uncomfortable in the restaurant as we had not dressed up as we had been at Legoland but the majority of people had made an effort there. around 20mins after the waitress came over and told us it would be an 1 hour wait for food! Due to the party outside of 100 guests. I asked if they could cook the children’s food first and she went to ask the manager. The manager returned and said that he can cook the children’s food first but we would have to wait for an hour maybe longer, I asked if they could just cook all of our food together as a family of 4 as we was out for our sons birthday. He said the party of a 100 asked for their food to be ready for 6pm. I explained that I had called to change the time and no one informed me of the large party and there would be a delay in food. The manager did apologise but this was not good enough. We decided to leave due to the wait and the drinks were on the house. Looking back on this now, I think my husband was right and they did not want our custom, maybe because of the way we was dressed and we was the only table with 2 young children! I am really disappointed. If you have children I wouldn’t book here, children have a choice of 2 things to eat on the menu. make sure you make an effort so you look like you can afford to eat there! More annoying the food looked lovely."

"Myself, husband and son were in Windsor for the day as part of my son's 18th Birthday celebrations. Where we went for lunch was his pick and he really fancied a burger so Gourmet Burger Kitchen seemed an obvious choice. I have to say I'm not the biggest burger fan so the thought of a burger restaurant didn't thrill me. Firstly we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful member of staff who quickly sat us down. The menu choice was impressive and despite initial reservations I found several items that sounded tempting. I decided to opt for the Chargrilled Chicken Satay Burger and went for the bunless option. My son had The Mighty with fries and onion rings and the husband had The Major Tom with the addition of avocado and bacon. Drinks wise we had an Oreo milkshake, Ginger Beer and a makeshift Mocha as it is not something on their menu but our helpful server was very quick to oblige and create a Mocha for us. For someone who was decidedly underwhelmed at the thought of a burger restaurant it was the most delicious meal I've had in a long time. My bunless burger was served with Homeslaw and corn in place of a bun, a very nice substitute. As for my husband and son ...well firstly my son was beaten by his massive burger which is a first big my husband polished off his. In conclusion great food made even better by the fabulous staff. Thank you we will be back next time we visit."

"Not a bad experience as such, but not a good one either. We were a chance table for two for some quick lunch on a Monday, granted first day of the summer holidays so had a fairly busy atmosphere, but was soon dying off after the lunch rush. We had a good table, and chose to take advantage of the brunch menu! Food was OK nothing to complain about a classic full English really. Service however was the disappointment, not much enthusiasm from our server, no smiles all round in the restaurant really, even management! Our food was quickly dumped on the table, and the woman I can only assume was part of management as not in uniform, ran off so quickly my partner didn’t even see the person that delivered our food! We weren’t offered any other condiments either which was a shame. Half way through our meals and still had no check back, even though restaurant was emptying out. Every conversation (if you can call it that) seemed transactional and lacked any personal touch, this was a shame as I was eyeing up some of the desserts but the service didn’t really want to make us stay any longer than we needed to. Perhaps I’m picking as I work in hospitality too! But unfortunately, the fact we weren’t asked how our time was or how our meals are at any point in our stay, is just basic service standards. Also dirty specials/drinks menu on the table isn’t a good look. A big contrast compared to our visit to the Bills in Richmond! Hopefully we just caught a bad day?"
