"Hong Bin II is a spacious, Asian restaurant, situated along a major Aroad between the town of Münster and a village named Wolbeck; also belonging to Münster. Hong Bin II serves all typical, Asian dishes, and has a cook ready to fry any raw meats...or fish, while you stand and wait. The food is good in its taste; the choice is varied and you can eat spicy or very spicy dishes, depending on your own preferences. There is even ice cream to eat as dessert, and not all Asian restaurants offer this dessert. Plus point A girlfriend and I visited this restaurant last Thursday evening. Due to the warm temperature of that evening, we decided to eat outside, where many tables and chairs were available for those who also wished to eat outside. I should point out, that my female companion and I opted for the “buffet menu”; thus enjoying more than just one kind of meat or fish, plus the additional vegetables, rice and noodles etc. The fish ate by my companion was evidentially cooked for too long a time; hence the fact that this food was more a chewing exercise as opposed to an eating one! I ate chicken and sometime later, some duck; with of course vegetables, rice and so on. My food tasted fine and regretfully, after two plates of relatively small portions of food, I could eat no more. My companion and I drank German beer, and we were treated to a small class of Chinese wine at the beginning of our meal. Once we´d eaten and drank our beer, we asked for the bill. The male waiter brought us two extremely, hot small hand towels, with which we washed our hands and patted the perspiration from our faces. The bill came and we briefly remained sitting, to discuss our experience of Hong Bin II. One cannot complain about the various dishes, the drinks and indeed, the price of our “eating adventure”! For the above I can only compliment this restaurant´s effort, for its presentation and the amount of food choices. What wasn´t so encouraging to visit this restaurant in the nearfuture are the following points. The waiter did not once give us the impression, that he knew his trade very well! When we thanked him for bringing us our drinks for instance, or collecting our used plates, he merely grunted, as if he didn´t speak very much or any German. This male waiter seemed very much out of place; he accidentally kicked a leg of my chair whilst passing our table. He did however apologise, in German. I am perhaps used to a somewhat and more professional service, than was offered us last Thursday evening. The toilets weren´t too clean, and this is definitely a negative observation which, must be written about and for fellow travelers, to note. If you wish to choose raw meats or fish to be cooked or fried, you literally have to stand and wait, until the food is ready for its consumption. In another and a favourite Asian restaurant of mine, in the town of Münster, you leave your plate of raw food with a peg with your table number on it. When the food is ready, it is brought directly to you. Am I spoiled? Not necessarily. I simply observe and witness the differences in restaurants’ services, offers and cleanliness. My favourite Asian restaurant in Münster has a far better choice of dishes. If and when my companion or I have had to mention an aspect of some less favorable circumstance, then it has been dealt with by the managerial staff, personally! This, in my humble opinion, is a true and professional service! To complete my review I would like to make the following suggestion to potential travelers. Please, do visit Hong Bin II restaurant and allow yourselves to make your own minds up, as to whether this establishment offers and can cater, for your own and personal preferences. My second suggestion is, please, visit the Asian restaurant Kaiser Palast, also in Münster, and only then decide, which restaurant you will feel and know, is the right one, for you"
