"Ordering food was straightforward, and the young woman who took our order was friendly and attentive. Our starter arrived in about 15 minutes; I had pigs in blankets, which were delicious and came with a honey mustard sauce. Our main courses arrived just 5-10 minutes after we finished the starters.
However, the waitress who brought our mains seemed to struggle with the weight of the plates, resulting in some gravy spilling onto the table. She simply apologized with a "sorry" and then walked away, showing no intention of cleaning it up. Thankfully, a male waiter stepped in to clean the mess, but not before the plate was placed right on top of it.
The young waitress seemed a bit abrupt, which may stem from her youth and lack of confidence—it's something that could definitely use attention. On a positive note, the mains were hot, and the portion sizes were generous. My only minor complaint is that parsnips were available only at an extra charge.
Overall, the experience had its ups and downs.
