"this is a new-ish curry house that was taken over by the mehak. it is worth visiting, as both eating and personal are hard to impress. more and more Indian restruanten go for the super-Blande and brown gravy angle than when they buy their food wholesale from 'iceland' this eat tastes authentic and in-house but on the 3 insass I was, they have managed to repeat the meal (I know boring! on the same standard over and over again. I recommend it."

"The food and the drinks were really good and it is a nice restaurant the only thing that it was ruined for us was a useless waiter who didn't ask if we wanted to start popadums that every other indian always ask, and in the middle of the meal of our starter meal the waiter suddenly came to the table and puts the main menu (for some reasons Eltham Yeti had unveiled the menu in such two. "This place was in my wishlist for a while, had heard quite a lot about Tipu Sultan. If you live in or around Birmingham and talk about Indian Cuisine or Indian Restaurants you could be sure that you will get to hear about this one and for right reasons. We arrived there late around 9:30 pm on a weekday (It was a Monday actually and we were surprised to see it was still almost full,and this place is quite large, so expect bit of wait time if you head to this one on a weekend. Decor from outside doesn't look too great however the moment you walked in, it catches your eyes. Beautifully done, Lavishly decorated and Lovely Ambience specially those red lights and classic fort like antiques.After having a look at the drinks menu,you could be surprised that there's no alcoholic beverage,None. Yes that's right. Plenty of nice non-alcoholic options are available though to quench your thirst. We ordered a cocalada (Pineapple,Vanilla and Coconut and another drink which were quite refreshing.Lamb Chops as a starter were too good, It's also hailed as Tipu Sultan's signature dish. We had Hyderabadi Chicken Handi along with ever favourite Garlic Naan and a Murgh Biryani.Quantity was enough to serve 2, Naan was huge and tasty. Handi Chicken was good but was a bit dry to my liking, a little bit of gravy would have been great. Biryani was alright not really great. Another stand out thing about this place was cleanliness and courteous staff, they are friendly and polite. We finished off with a Black Currant Ice Cream and had really nice time at Tipu's. We even decided to get Nihari Gosht and a Naan packed for home. Awesome Place, Great Food and Nice Value for Money. Going again this week ;"

"new owner fantastic eating. After having been a big fan of tamasha for many years, when I took it at madhuwan felt, I had to try. although not located in the best part of bromley, this is a must visit restaurant. the sauces for all our foods were freshly cooked and although this means a somewhat longer delay, it is worth waiting. all the ingredients seemed really fresh and the Squid star was fantastic! the prices are very reasonable and an absolute steal for the quality of food, especially in comparison to the trips in tamasha ."

"Absolutely fantastic!!!! I am not veggie or vegan buy my husband is, so rather than the usual one or two dishes to choose from we thought we'd give it a go absolutely fantastic. Everything was hot and fresh, everything was full of flavour and every dish tasted different. The samosa chaat and the chilli paneer, and the aloo paratha, and the biryani were all out of this world. We ordered noodles that they didn't have, so they knocked it off the bill and threw in the biryani. The delivery driver was really polite and really friendly, order arrived on time and hot from Preston. Don't let the delivery cost put you off as the food is very very reasonable and of an excellent quality You have to try you will not be disappointed. Didn't miss the meat whatsoever! Didn't even spot a single mushroom thank goodness! I was really worried I wouldnt like much, but this was incredible and hands down the best takeaway we've ever had"

"Arrived in London late and hungry. We still had to check in to our hotel and had noticed, on the Yelp App, that Salt was not far. We asked the front desk guy about it but apparently he wasn 't a fan. He referred to it as where night people went. Not sure what he meant by that at the time but, it was night and I was hungry so, I guess that made me one of them. Left our things in the room and walked to Salt. As we approached the restaurant we realized what he meant. We were in a middle eastern part of town and this place was packed even though it was already 10pm on a weekday. The people at the outside tables were smoking hookah, having delicious looking Nan bread with dipping sauces, and everyone seemed to be having a great, relaxing time. Seemed like a great place so far. Went in and liked it even more. Plenty of tables all around, beautiful and very organized full bar (with a long list of whiskeys), and we were seated immediately. Took me a while to decide on what to eat, they have a good variety of dishes on their menu, mostly Indian cuisine but there some dishes for people who prefer things like a burger or fish and chips. Finally decided on their Chicken wrap, and we also ordered a lamb wrap and potato cake. While we waited for the food we got our drinks... vodka soda and a Campari Spritzer. The food came out fairly fast and hot. Big portions and Big flavors. The Chicken wrap had a delicious curry taste, and you can ask for it to made with nan instead of a regular wrap bread . The Nan makes a huge difference, trust me. Made me want to ask for more on the side but I refrained as what we had on the table was more than enough already. It comes with a mint sauce on the side but, I enjoyed it more with the yogurt sauce from the potato pancake. Which were very tasty too! Our server came over from time to time to bring us new drinks, refill our waters and make sure food was to our liking. So glad we didn 't listen to the guy at the hotel. As mentioned it was my first night in London, and so far it started on a great note. Definitely a place I would recommend!"

"The food here , esp Indian starters are delicious. i always ask for aloo tikki chat and pav bhaji and consistently it has been tasty. this time we asked for chilli paneer starter and it was tasty too. the main course if fine too. Salt has an amazing list of whiskeys which i like and also lots of other alcohol. we were 5 who went for dinner and would have liked a table outside because 2 of our friends like shisha. but they wouldn't give us a table outside because wanted us to take 2 shishas atleast to get a table outside. surely if we are having dinner and then one shisha that should have been considered because it is not the case that we were just going to order one shisha and block a table for hours. we were also ordering food. they should consider this going forward because we come to Salt bar for food and shisha but not everyone does shisha. So dont make us choose between only food or shisha!"
