"The only downside to this restaurant was the noise level. We were seated at a small table in the middle of the room, which made conversation difficult. However, we loved the creative and tasty Brie bruschetta as an appetizer. The steak we shared was perfectly seasoned and cooked to our liking. Although it wasn't a traditional US cut of beef, we appreciated that it was not corn-fed for environmental reasons. The sticky toffee pudding for dessert was fantastic - warm, moist, but could have used more sauce. The service was attentive as well."

"We have been many times before but sadly today was shocking. All we could hear was heavy banging of plates. We made a complaint and the staff member just ignored us and walked away. Two minutes later you could see the chef banging the plate on purpose and staff laughing. Absolute shocking. Also food was poor."

"We have been previously and loved it but this time we were greeted by Vicky Pollard (I think she was a supervisor or just had an air of importance with no customer service skills) and poor service from her followed. The other members of staff were slow but pleasant at least. Our drinks sat on the bar for 30 minutes before being sent over to us. It was also too much trouble for “Ms Pollard” to ask chef for pizza with no pesto. To be honest we could have put up with slow service and the reserved table being a bit grubby upon arrival but the young woman’s attitude “Ms Pollard” just left a bad impression."

"I Loved this place! We arrived a little early for cocktails at the bar i had a Flat white martini something you must try if you like an espresso martini, well this is better! The service was fantastic and attentive. We shared a selection of Tapas as a group of four people to start with and it was amazing we just wanted more however the waiter was very good at helping us order as we had never been before, he suggested we share starters as we were wanting paella also. Good thing we did! The waiter suggested we ordered 1 paella per couple as it is a sharing dish. Wow amazing! They brought out 2 massive hot dishes of paella on a stand beside the table and the waiter served your 1st portion! We ordered one chicken and one sea food paella which was delicious ! we also ordered 1 bottle of wine for the table to go with the paella which was lovely also and i am not the biggest fan of wine but that was perfect to go with what we had to eat. Cannot wait to go back hopefully it will be soon as writing this has made me hungry haha."

"Favourite is not always the same as 'the best regarded ' or the grandest. Favourite for me, covers places that we 've loved, often smaller, perhaps less well known restaurants. They all have excellent cuisine (some have Michelin stars) and can represent superb value for money. Many of these restaurants are highly regarded in Spain but maybe unfairly overlooked by foreign food tourists and don 't appear on the 50 Best Awards. In most cases they 're well underrated but are at the top of our favourite lists.1. Aponiente, El Puerto de Santa Maria near Cádiz.I never tire of championing this revolutionary seafood restaurant. If you google it, there are few English reviews outside of mine. It 's strange as chef Ángel León is a TV star over there. In our opinion it should be regarded as amongst the finest in Spain and the world. A third Michelin star will most definitely help with that should that be forthcoming. It should be at the top of your 'to eat ' list along with the likes of DiverXo and El Celler de Can Roca.. They are moving to larger premises in September so we hope to return again."

"The dining experience was very good, with a pleasant atmosphere. However, it is a bit pricey, and I noticed that many young patrons were not wearing masks, which is disappointing as it shows a lack of consideration for safety. I would recommend that management take this into account, as COVID is still a concern for many people and may be for some time. There are those who are still careful for themselves and their families."

"We found the food uninspired and very mediocre. Even without looking at the bill we commented that the tapas we ordered seemed bland and not as good as any other tapas restaurants we have been to in the U.K. or Spain. When we saw the bill it really hit home how it was overpriced for the quality of food. It felt very much like a chain restaurant with ore-prepared food that had just been reheated, and not like somewhere we would spend £90 for two. The service was ok; they were cheerful and smiling and explained everything well, but it took a long time to get the bill and pay."

"Very disappointing experience. We decided to have the set menu and both chose the minute steak. We ordered one medium/rare one well done. When they arrived neither was well done and both were very tough and chewy. They looked more like rump steaks then minute steaks. When the waiter asked if we had enjoyed the meal we said we were disappointed with the steaks and asked him to ask the chef what he thought to the portions we left and perhaps comment. After this the waiter just ignored us and we had to ask another waitress to serve us our desserts. When paying we repeated our disatisfication to the cashier and were offered a refund of the price of the vegetables but no real apology. I cannot say we are enthused about having to pay extra for chips and vegetables especially on a set menu. It seems strange that the set menu only includes the 'meat ' and nothing else (apart from 6 cherry tomatoes on a vine! Both the starters and the desserts were fine but the main course let it down. This is the first time we have visited a MPW restaurant and following this experience would not seek to return to either this or another venue. We had hoped that this would be a 'special evening ' however we were left feeling very disappointed. As others have commented perhaps MPW needs to pay a visit to stir things up!"

"I recently moved to the area and have visited this restaurant at both locations. The food here is incredible - always piping hot and delicious. My daughter raved about the pansen-based pizza, saying it was one of the best she's ever had. The potato skins and mozzarella sticks were also a hit, even though they may ruin my diet! Overall, a job well done."

"the growing opulence of South London has stretched to "trendy' streatham with new, high cost esseries, among which is this tapas bar with many backend sessions this place is gorgeous. great atmosphere, excellent (and charming) service and fantastic eating. I can't speak for the a la carte menu (yes,) but the tapas is very good, and the waiter has suggested how many dishes were enough so that we don't get over. by the way, timeout is correct that the ratatouille is a steh dish. also the sardines are highly recommended. garlic mushrooms were seasoned by solid portobello, properly baked, pimentos pardon tender with garlic, both the patatas bravas ad chorizo were plentiful cut for all plundering in the tapas, the salat was unexplainably flat, properly cooled, but not much more, and the patatas mutes lacked any seasoning in tomato sauce... also good value, with tapas for two and a bottle of wine come to £60, which is quite respectable by london prizes and worth every penny."

"absolutely terrible service. we ordered yesterday evening as a birthday contract for my son, after an hour waiting time we called to ask if everything was in order to say that they had not received our order. we had the proof of purchase, the money was taken from our account and we offered to send or even get into the load to show all this, but we say there was nothing they could do. they said we would have to contact the customer service for a refund (as we arrive at 3-5 working days) and if we wanted to eat our food, we would have to reorder and pay again. So no solution for the problems, just give us more money. we only received an email address to request a refund that we tell them we need to wait for up to 5 days for an answer. So not only my son and other children don't get his birthday contract (and also had to have a late evening meal) we are also the money for the order for up to 10 days, while we wait for contact and a refund. we were repeatedly told that there is nothing they could do as if we had not only paid for the order, and they did not have the ingredients there to make the food we had paid for. I called again to ask if there was a contact number for the customer service, as I felt the whole experience was completely unacceptable and the very rude staff quickly said that there was no number, there was nothing they could do, and I just had to wait the 10 days. this is not the first time that we had problems with the delivery and service of papa johns, but the personal has always been great before and the pizza was good so that we could just justify ourselves to go back, but it will be the last problem we have with them as I would never order again. the customer service was (and remains) terrible."
