"So this is an interesting one because Elements is part of a restaurant group of maybe 4 or 5 other pubs in walking distance in downtown Edinburgh. In Sydney, if you're restaurants in a group, each has their own vibe and menu. Within this group, Elements did not. All the ones we went to had the same menu, and that was at least 3 different restaurants. Literally. Food was fine, service was okay, and a local muso was playing was sounded like his first gig. Props to him for putting himself out there, but it made the atmosphere pretty terrible. Would go elsewhere. Meals were expensive too."

"This is obviously one of the coolest place in the region. Whenever I come there I am profoundly pleased. They always keep their high level service and the highest level of food they offer. You definitely will enjoy this this place. Very recommended."

"I was hoping from the menu that a gluten free, vegan pizza might have been possible, but the gluten free pizza was not vegan, so with my allergies I couldn't have that. However, I ordered a mixed salad for a starter and the vegetarian pasta sauce on gluten free pasta and they were both absolutely gorgeous! I would have found it a little easier to order if there had been an indication of allergens within the pasta sauces themselves, so I could have seen straight away which ones would have been ok. I was delighted with my food though it tasted wonderful and looked beautiful. Plus, for people who need just gluten free, or just vegan, having those dedicated pages on the menu is great. Everyone's food looked delicious (I was in a large group) and we had a lovely evening. I would recommend this restaurant and I will be pleased to go again."

"We were staying in Northumberland Avenue, and this seemed an obvious location for our evening meal, celebrating my wife 's birthday with the family, especially as we had just travelled on the Eye and could see it from our table. The setting was characterful and the service very pleasant. Things started to go wrong when two of our party received gin and tonics. These were sent back as they tasted mainly of water with little hint of gin. They were replaced with an apology and explanation that the machine wasn 't functioning properly. After that our starters and mains were generally acceptable (duck, chicken and salmon), the vegan option was appreciated by one of us, and the kids ' meals were enjoyed by our boys. However, my wife, whose special occasion it was, described her moules mariniere as the worst she had ever eaten. The waitress passed the dish over the table to my wife, saying 'be careful of the sauce ', but it was so full and runny that my wife managed to spill it on her brand new dress. She said the mussels were very small and the sauce too runny and tasteless. She made her views known to one of the waiting staff, and certainly her complaint was taken very seriously the costs of her meal and both her drinks were removed from the bill, which was appreciated. I see there are a number of other reviews mentioning low quality meals, and it is a pity that a restaurant in such an attractive location cannot serve good meals consistently."

"by far the best Italian place we ate in the old! we accidentally came over them, drove the motor away on the route to our hotel, both hungry for food looking for the internet. when entering the restaurant we were already surprised by the rustic, domestic atmosphere. for beginners we had garlic bread with mozzarella, olive, antipasto vegetables and breesola burrata. each individual dish was as tasteful as the other. high quality, pure ingredients and great aromas. for the first time we had pizzas. I myself had the rucola, parma ham and parmesan cheese pizza. my fiancée had the diavola with extra gorgonzola. once again high quality ingredients. the perfect light and fluffy but cripsy pizza crust. and the toppings were added with the right balance of the taste. to think about dessert at all, we asked if there was an option to take dessert to go later in the evening. ten minutes later we had two removal containers with tiramisu with chocolate sauce and fresh top. great value for money, wonderful personal, beautiful atmosphere. the next time we visit edinburgh (from the lowlands) we will definitiw back to mia italian kitchen!"

"I have not had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant, so my rating is based solely on the fact that I was unable to secure the tables I had booked. The first time I made a reservation, they had double-booked me and did not have a table available. This was very embarrassing as we had friends visiting from Essex. More recently, I booked a table for my wedding anniversary in October four weeks in advance, only to receive an email canceling the reservation without explanation or offering any alternatives. I may never have the chance to try the delicious-looking food, enjoy a bottle of Chianti with my succulent steak, or gaze lovingly into my wife's eyes over a candlelit table on our anniversary. Perhaps the third time will be the charm? I have my doubts."

"Heard rumours of a gem of a coffee shop in Sandgate by the sea and it did not disappoint!! The barista with glasses was like he was from Shoreditch itself!! A joke of a coffee and I mean that in a good way...I ate, chatted, and drank several cups of coffee! Must have drank too much of the black stuff as I was considering a vegan menu as a go to standard...they didn't have anything on the menu that isn't up my street...the streets of London...the streets of Sandgate...no difference...apart from the sea and fresh air and polite people. Coffee same if not better...KEEP IT UP!! I'll be back soon..."

"a friend and I went to zizzi, edinburgh quays, on friday. although it was quite quiet, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was great. we even have a free replacement for the prosecco that I accidentally spilled! eating was very good, especially the pannetone al forno, which was cooked nicely, and good value for money would go back."

"The manager at this restaurant did not inquire about any allergies or provide alternative menus. We were seated at a table where staff kept bumping into my chair in the dark. It took 15 minutes for someone to take our order, and it required multiple attempts to indicate our drink preference as the server was preoccupied with other tables. The starters arrived promptly, but there was excessive garlic butter. The plates were cleared 25 minutes after we finished the starters, followed by the arrival of the mains. Pepper was carelessly dumped on our table. Due to the noisy and dim environment, we ate quickly and paid using the app to expedite our departure. We will not be returning to this establishment. The team and manager could benefit from observing the staff at Meadowhall's Pizza Express."

"One of the great advantages of cities like London is that one can find speciality restaurants spread across the city representing every cuisine that the world has to offer. So when I was in a mood for some Italian after my visit to the V&A Museum, my smart-phone promptly guided me to this speciality Italian place. The restaurant was full when I went for dinner and the atmosphere was lively. I went for a classic pizza which I usually do when I try out an Italian restaurant for the first time. Because if they can't get that one right, chances are they won't be good at anything else. The pizza coming out of their oven smelled and tasted right. On par with good restaurants in Italy. "wow! definitely the best takeaway pizza I had in years. Although it is advertised on zomato as not taking, I can assure them that it! we have made a simple call and ordered a napoletana and a rucola e parma pizza. we said it would be ready in just 20 minutes and safe enough that we could pick it up and it had just come out of that. the staff was very friendly and we were given free garlic bread that would have £5, we would have ordered it from the menu. the pizza was very affordable at around 8 pfund each and the quality was clear from first to last. both pizzas were such an upgrade over the usual dominos or Papa-Johns! so glad to have discovered la luna. I refuse to order pizza from anywhere else!"

"I visited here for lunch last Saturday afternoon with some friends who were visiting for the weekend. They were looking to try somewhere healthy, in city centre and nice to relax in for a couple of hours, which is a harder than it sounds! A friend suggested the CCA as it serves some lovely big salad bowls. We were not disappointed, all four of us ended up ordering salads. A friend and I both had the Thai noodle salad and both loved it. Lovely fresh salad, packed with flavours and textures and coated in a delicious dressing. My friends also order the beetroot salad and the butternut squash one, which they also said were really good. The salad's are served with bread, making it a very filling meal. We had some small plates between us, sweet potato fries and soy asparagus. We spent a few hours sitting in the courtyard over lunch with a couple of drinks. It's a great space to chill out in! The only downfall was the service, when we walked in I had booked a table, being a Saturday afternoon we weren't sure how busy it would be and as we arrived two members of staff didn't know which table was ours. It was a bit of a confusing start to the meal. as we were seated we were instantly asked if we wanted drinks but needed a couple of minutes to look at the menu, we waited another 15 minutes until someone came back to take drinks orders. Not ideal but we weren't in a rush at least. In general the service was slow and distant the entire afternoon. I also tried some items on the mezzie platter while here for a Yelp Newbies night. Everything I tried that day was also really tasty! I will definitely be back to eat here, I think I would like everything on the menu! It's a great space, with a nice atmosphere and great food."

"My daughters treated me to an afternoon tea at the Dome….which we were so looking forward to…..on arriving we were shown to our seat by a pleasant young man. We were then asked what kind of scone would we like I.e. fruit or plain….which we never thought about at the time. We then got our glass of champagne which was an extra fee….NOT..champagne it was Cava…..anyway we didn’t query as we were looking forward to our afternoon tea. The cake stand looked so bare and the cakes certainly were nothing like shown on this page. I then had the sandwiches which were lovely. I then went to eat eat my scone …..but the knife couldn’t go through it as it was so hard….I then asked the waiter for another one and showed him the crumbly scone which he touched and said it was hard. He the brought another one (which took about 10 minutes to bring) we then thought they are frozen and taken out to heat before serving….that’s why we were asked what kind we wanted. They were obviously taken out by order of preference….Again same thing happened the scone crumbled as I tried to cut in half. I asked to speak to the manager who then told me they were baked that morning!!!!!no way they were brick hard. Anyway she deducted one afternoon tea of the bill, which was ok…but to be honest it wasn’t about getting a free afternoon tea it was thfact it was my birthday and my daughters were so disappointed for me. By the way they’re scones were tasteless…..so The Dome…..get decent scones that loook like scones and make your cake stand more inviting and you wouldn’t get bad feedback from customers."

"We visited this restaurant yesterday during our trip to Edinburgh. We struggled to find a place that had both availability and suitable options on the menu. However, upon arriving at this restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of choices available. We quickly found several dishes that met our needs and decided on the BBQ bacon cheeseburger and the carbonara, both of which were outstanding! We truly enjoyed the quality of the food. The staff was friendly and appeared to be quite busy. Thank you for a wonderful meal!"

"Not too sure what the reviews were about here. Food arrived cold and honestly “best pizza in Liverpool” I’ve had to ask for a refund from just eat for the garlic bread that was pretty inedible and the chips were freezing. I was hyped aswell due to the reviews but won’t be back. Mostly gone into the bin shed. Strange considering the raving reviews."

"We had made a reservation to dine at this restaurant on a Saturday evening. We had booked our table over the phone on Thursday. Upon arriving, we asked reception where the restaurant was and were informed that it was closed for a private party. We explained that we had booked just two days prior, and the receptionist allowed us to enter. However, when we entered the restaurant, a waiter informed us that there were no tables available and that they were setting up for a private event. Despite our disappointment, we received no apology for the inconvenience. The disorganized management and uninterested staff left us feeling frustrated. We have previously enjoyed drinks at the bar when the hotel was under Mercure ownership, where we experienced friendly staff and great customer service. We were extremely disappointed by the Hilton takeover and as a result of this experience, we will not be returning."

"This is my pizza delivery in Aberdeen. I absolutely love the Arugula and Mozzarella pizza and the fact that I can actually adapt it to fit my taste perfectly (Bye Bye pepper . You also have a really good crust (room for improvements: filled crust and as a pizza crust person, I have very high standards regarding the pizza crust. I also have to add that I cannot praise enough the team that was on the 14th. December 2020 worked in the evening (I'm early, I know I had a special diet requirement and they went beyond and beyond to help me really amazing (if each of the bosses read that the team deserves a bonus for being so amazing! I wouldn't practice AJs so much if they didn't deserve it and they really did it! Delicious pizza and friendly staff, best combination!"
