"Went for a meal this evening as we live nearby and have always wanted to try. Service was quite awful. As soon as we entered the restaurant the waitress or manager shouted at us from her desk asking if we were looking for a table.. I asked if we should come to her instead of shouting from the door but she continued to converse with us shouting from a distance. Very strange. Another waitress took us over to our table but initially sat us at a table that hadn’t been cleaned or set yet, we hesitated and ANOTHER waitress came over and told us to sit at the next table that was already set. Why we weren’t sat here first I have no idea. The restaurant was hardly busy. We ordered drinks and food, drinks took a while to arrive and we had to ask for water twice. Water arrived and there was a small spider in my glass…. yuck. I noticed it while drinking and got the attention of a waiter who simply replied “Ok, do you want new water?” ….. I mean? Really?! Food was good and came quickly. Nothing amazing but nothing terrible either. Waitress that cleared our plates asked if she could “have our plates” expecting us to hand them all to her. The staff also dropped cutlery on someone in our party twice. Staff could really do with some training, or maybe being paid better so that they might out in a little more effort! Will definitely opt for takeaway next time as the food was good enough."

"Mams in Knightsbridge is an Arabic cafe that has quickly become a favourite of mine. Located in the heart of the upscale neighbourhood, Mams serves up some of London's most authentic healthy Middle Eastern street food. I recently visited the restaurant and tried a few dishes that I just had to share. First up, the mixed shawarma. This dish is a must-try for any first-timers at Mams. It features a combination of chicken and beef shawarma served with pita bread, salad, and a side of tahini sauce. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the tahini sauce was creamy and flavorful. The portion size was generous, and the dish was definitely filling. Next, we tried lamb shawarma. This dish was equally impressive. The lamb was juicy and tender, and the spices were just right. It was served with the same accompaniments as the mixed shawarma and was equally filling. We also ordered the Manakeesh, an Arabic-style pizza. We opted for the pesto, mozzarella, and sundried tomato flavour, which did not disappoint. The crust was crispy and slightly chewy, and the toppings were fresh and delicious. We also had the Lahmajan. It was a unique twist on a classic pizza and was definitely worth trying. We also enjoyed a bowl with a choice of protein, grain, and vegetables, topped off with a delicious sauce. We chose the grilled chicken as our protein, and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We added quinoa as our grain and a variety of fresh vegetables, including cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion. The sauce was a delicious blend of tahini, lemon juice, and herbs. We finished off our bowl with Halloumi. The combination of flavours and textures was simply outstanding, and it was a dish that I could eat every day. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Mams. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. If you're in the Knightsbridge area and looking for a taste of authentic Middle Eastern street food, I highly recommend checking out Mams. Thank you Zack for your excellent service and making time for us and sharing some good laughs."

"I have often visited Anthologist with clients and team events (Christmas parties_ and always enjoyed your service and bar facilities. However, I would like to address what I believe to be a one-off event from last night, and I am sure it won’t happen again as I think you have higher standards than this. After spending hours last night as a customer until close, we wanted to use the toilet facilities as one of your last customers. You (the supervisor) informed us it was closed. As a customer, I asked why when we were still around. You said it takes a while to do and wanted a head start. During this conversation, your staff member shouted, “What’s wrong with you guys? Are you crazy? Just leave!” Something along these lines. Apologies if it doesn’t match word to word. As someone who has not only been a customer with you for years, brought clients to your venue, had Christmas parties with you, worked in Retail customer service, and, most importantly, brought business all night by spending with my friends in your bar, this is unacceptable customer service. I am sure that specific individual may have had a bay day, a difficult customer, or something else that triggered this. I understand this happens. I speak from experience. However, there is a way to communicate and handle things despite not being in the best state of mind. This behaviour does not reflect the team because you have fantastic staff members. Please provide feedback to your colleague and provide coaching on customer service. I’m sure you will not let this happen again as I believe such is your standard."
