"An absolute gem! We stayed for a long weekend (our first trip away from London) to enjoy some of Scotland’s beautiful nature and were not disappointed. The hotel location is superb (right by the loch) and the staff are incredibly helpful, making sure we had dinner reservations for the entirety of our stay and recommending various treks. Our little rescue Beagle absolutely loved the hotel as well, which offered blankets for her to sleep on in the bar after a long day of walking We will hopefully be returning soon and can’t recommend it enough! Thanks for taking such good care of us and for having us !!"

"Disappointed. I have NEVER written a review on a restaurant that I've visited before, but I was so underwhelmed by my lunch visit to Jamie's Trattoria yesterday that I felt compelled to write one now. Ordered a sparkling mineral water with some lime cordial in it waitress advised there was no lime cordial. Ordered a Homemade fiery ginger beer was advised that they didn't have the syrup to put in the drink to make it fiery. Ordered the Carbonara just wow (and not in a good way). The sauce was a translucent puddle in the bottom of the bowl with plain dry pasta on top with only about 6 pieces of panchetta. Bland would be an uplift to what this actually tasted like....read more"

"When we came in, there were no other guests. The waitress asked us if we just wanted a drink first. We said we were hungry and sat down. We ordered two cocktails and before we could place our food order, she almost ran off with the menu. A little later she came back with another person who had to help her prepare the drinks. It was also the helper who then served us the glasses. Up until then and afterwards, we weren't asked if we wanted anything else to eat, although we had actually made this clear at the beginning. After about 5 minutes, the music was switched off and the two of us sat in a completely empty and now completely silent room. We emptied our glasses and asked for the bill. What a shame, the online presence looks great and we would have loved the menu. It was just the surroundings that were more than strange."
