"Was quite excited to try this place after hearing about the history of the building and seeing the reviews on trip advisor. However I feel this place is extremely expensive for the quality of the dishes. Restaurants that hold rosettes or even a Michelin star don’t charge these prices and we have been to many restaurants that hold these accolades. We informed the serving staff that the chicken was undercooked and rubbery and was simply told that it was because it was sous vide I have eaten lots of chicken dishes cooked using this method and it has never been rubbery. The serving staff did nothing to remedy our complaint which was disappointing"

"Booked the Jews House based on reviews as this was our first visit to Lincoln and I prefer not to wander around looking for somewhere suitable on the first night in a new place. The restaurant is cosy and feels quite intimate and my husband and I chose from the a la carte menu. Portions are small, but beautifully cooked and presented, and the warm 'bag' of bread would help those with larger appetites. The sommelier is hugely knowledgeable and very willing to offer suggestions if required. My husband and I eat well and regularly visit lovely restaurants. The Jews House is probably one of the best restaurants we have eaten at and even the filter coffee at the end of the meal was unbelievably good"
