"Staying overnight with our dog, booked into room 1, ideal, very dog friendly and the room was spotless, even a dog bed was supplied that seemed brand new, I took Bentley down to the bar for a pre dinner drink while my wife got ready, got chatting to locals, very friendly, my wife had fish and chips, she said it was delicious, I couldn 't resist the rump steak with chips and peppercorn sauce, the sauce is one of the best I have ever had, washed down with a reasonably priced Argentinian Malbec, after food we went into the snug a comfortable room with leather armchairs and sofas , very relaxing and got chatting with more friendly locals until we could keep our eyes open no longer. Must mention the American Oregon beer, a dark flavoursome beer which is definitely worth a try. Well done Paul and Tracey you run a very good place !"

"the first time here beautiful little pub. the best of both worlds. the exterior aesthetic is the look of a beautiful country pubs, while the interior is a stylish modern restaurant. great service and a beautiful atmosphere. we both had the bark Sunday, which was beautiful. we both had different desserts. I had the sticky toffee pudding, my man had the dark brownie, the both where divine. would definitely recommend everyone and would come back if in the opposite."

"I booked, in secret, for my wife's birthday. I had asked them if I could pre order the food so we didn't have to wait as we were tight on time. I also asked if they could hold onto her gift from me and present it to her with the wine. All went perfectly with superb friendly service, amazing steaks, great value red wine. In and out within 60 minutes. Perfect"

"I booked this restaurant for our 1st wedding anniversary after carefully searching restaurants in our area for reviews, it looked absolutely perfect BUT it couldn't have been more wrong, in fact the only good thing I have to say about this place is the young girl that welcomed us and did absolutely everything and I mean everything. she welcomed us, served our drinks, took our orders, served our food, cleared our table, everything. the first red flag came as soon as we sat down and were presented with a menu printed on a piece of A4 paper with not a very wide selection of things to eat maybe 5 of each, starters, main course and desert then to be told a couple of those were actually not on because ingredients had not been delivered. well we thought small menu so the food must be really good, this couldn't have been further from the truth. we both ordered brucheta to start, when it came we were presented with a piece of sliced bread probably from the co op from over the road with a mush on top that didn't look very appetizing, not fresh tomatoes and so on and so forth. then came the main I ordered chicken kiev and the wife got a pizza. the wife ate 3 pieces of her pizza because she was hungry. what was presented in front of me is another story, i paid £11 for a tennis ball size and shape of processed meat, just like you get from the supermarket on a bed of to be honest i still dont know what it was, no flavour to any of it and to cap it all of it was burnt. we didn't complain at he time because we are not the sort to do that, we dont like making a scene but this experience absolutely ruined what should have been a perfect day for us our first wedding anniversary. now i dont know whether we caught them on a bad day or what, i read all the reviews before and i have read them all again since and it doesn't make any sense, all i can say is i certainly will not be returning or recommending this place to any of my friends."
