"Situated in a almost passable street in Crystal Palace, fronted by a humble restaurant sign, is this little Turkish restaurant. At least, it looks little from the outside. Walk in, and you 're presented with a rather large venue, with seating for many patrons. There is no maître d ' or equivalent to check our booking or offer us seating. It took a few minutes of trying get someone 's attention to even get noticed, another five minutes or so for a table to be setup, and once seated and given menus, it took over 15 minutes to order some drinks. I believe this service issue is an exception as it was Father 's day, and the restaurant was exceptionally busy, therefore the serving staff were stretched. I suspect a normal day would be better. I didn 't expect much at this stage, however, this venue turned out to be a hidden gem! Forget location, ambience or service. If your goal is to try some incredible Turkish food, this is the place to go! My mum and dad love Turkish food, and we 're no strangers to it. Although all Turkish restaurants tend to have a very similar menu, each has it 's own variation on their standard recipes. This is where Dem stands out from the crowd, the bread was seasoned with a unique blend of spices (I suspect paprika and celery salt?? , and similarly, the meats were seasoned and flavoursome. There won 't be enough bread served for the meze, so you will need to order more. Also, the salad and bread that gets delivered to the table when you sit down is all you 'll be given with your entire mains (which are served simply as meat and rice . So don 't over do it and finish these off before your mains arrive! I do recommend this restaurant for the food look forward to going there on a non-special occasion so that I may experience it in a fairer setting for the service staff."

"Found out that under new ownership since October 2023, so recommendations to me were based on friends experience with previous owners. The manager was friendly and very attentive, asking lots of questions, explaining their menu when asked, telling me that the interior will be changed in the near future. Anyway, for starters we chose Calamari, Garlic Mushrooms with Cheese, King Prawns, and Halluomi. We then all helped ourselves to bits and pieces of each. The starters were plentiful in portion size, with all choices being great, especially the garlic mushrooms with cheese. For mains we chose a mixed grill, chicken shish, lamb ribs, and chicken wings and chips for my daughter. The chicken and lamb shish were both tender and full of flavour, and the lamb ribs were great. They all came with slad and bulgur (I can only describe it as a cross between rice and cous-cous).The mixed grill was plentiful in size and looked appetising, but my father in law enjoyed that all to himself , so I can only assume it was good. My daughter enjoyed her chicken wings too We were given bread on the table, which was warm and full of flavour too. We were definitely made to feel welcome, and will definitely return. Good to know that they deliver too. We were at the restaurant early (5pm booking), so were the only people in the restaurant, however, there was a constant stream of delivery drivers collecting orders for delivery. It was my daughters birthday the following day, so tye manager gave her a small dessert on the house as well. Parking: A few parking spaces on the street just a couple of doors down from the restaurant , where you use the RingGo App or good old cash to pay for parking."

"This restaurant is amazing, featuring stunning interior design. I’d give it a perfect 10! It brought back memories of my vacation in Turkey! "If I had the option to give them a 0️⃣ I would. The size of the position given are ridiculous. We paid £30 for x2 lamb meat and chips one of the smallest portions we've ever had. Just eat app suggestions that it comes with salad and none turned up. Called them they didn't even care. I would not use them if I was anyone. They are a rip off. This is why they are rated 3.5, we usually order from Best kebab and they are amazing, unfortunately they were closed I believe as we couldn't order from them. please don't use them."

"Firstly Little Istanbul has changed owners a few months back and is now called the NAR Meze Grill. The restaurant has had a face lift and the food and service are now excellent. This means that all previous reviews for Little Istanbul no longer apply, including some of the more negative comments. I had a late Sunday lunch with a girlfriend, we enjoyed a very pleasant bottle of chilled Pinot Rose before tucking in to starters and mains. As neither of use eat meat we ordered dishes from the good vegetarian selection but there is also a wide choice of fish and meat. Too full for a pudding."

"We stumbled upon a unique gem in Durham called Shaheen's. Despite a power outage in the area, Shaheen's remained open and welcoming on a cold and rainy night. Adam, the son of founder Bob, greeted us warmly, giving the restaurant a family-run feel. The food showed a genuine passion for family recipes, with well-managed spice levels and flavorful dishes. We tried starters like the fried onion, mushrooms and garlic, and a lamb kabob, with the kabob standing out as a favorite. The black dal was a pleasant surprise. For mains, we enjoyed the Chicken tikka, which was both mild and spicy, paired with brown basmati rice and garlic naan. Overall, Shaheen's is a homestyle restaurant where you feel cared for. "Antalya was close to our London hotel in Russell Square so we decided to try it: it was a wonderful meal in a very pretty place with excellent food and friendly service. The full dinner provides an excellent selection of hot and cold starters. Everything was very fresh and the portions were large. The baklava, served warm, was the best we’ve ever had. "early on Saturday morning. the outdoor menu disappeared and aimed at the choice Avocado/Egg. then wandered in and looked perfectly fresh on spatialities made croissants, and knew that I have a croissant with a side of speck. superb with a kapuziner. I ate very comfortable outside. there is a lot of space inside and since this is very popular, they need the space. a few very happy small groups of diners collected in and seemed to have a great time. if I had lived in the opposite, I would certainly be a strain."

"on 07.10.2017 we went as a family. we were immediately set by very friendly staff. the place was very busy, but our drink order was immediately removed after we had received our drinks, our food order was accepted. they didn't have to wait long, even though they were really busy. when the food came, it was hot and looked nicely presented, it was beautiful has nothing bad to say. "Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and offered a spot on their lovely outside terrace, which was perfect given the warm evening. We chose the Meat mezze for two, and the food was truly exceptional. From the selection of pita and dips to the beef stifado and moussaka, each course was even better than the last. For dessert, we indulged in traditional baklava and enjoyed a Greek coffee, which was the perfect finale. Overall, our experience at Taverna was fantastic, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. It's a must-visit place when you find yourself in Harrogate!"

"After seeing advertised that they had won best fish and chip shop in Sussex we had to try. We've lived in Chichester for years but rarely eat fish and chips, but we decided to on this occasion.
