"Booked a table in October for the 31st December just for a wee family dinner. As on the site your encouraged to book online. I received a phone call from Rachel on the 30th asking if we’d like to join the Hogmanay dinner party at £65 a head, I advised her it was unlikely and I would call back to confirm if we wanted to opt in. We decided that it wasn’t what we wanted so left it at that. When we arrived we got told there was no other option available that it was our fault but we could stay for dinner only at £65 a head, followed by short sharp comments from the staff who made us feel really uncomfortable.Needless to say we were left stranded on New Year’s Eve with no where to go for dinner. An hour later and much driving and calling around we Managed to get the 3 of us (that’s right just 3) into the River Duck where we had a mind blowing 4 course buffet for £26 ! In short sort the online booking shouldn’t have allowed us to book for dinner if you were providing a restricted service. 10/10 to riverduck -10 to mains of scotstown. I would not recommend them purely on the shocking lack of understanding and very- very poor customer service."
