"My regular Chippy had closed at 10 pm so I looked in the direction of Cowbridge Road East and discovered the Canton Fish Bar. It looked a very ordinary sort of place but don't be fooled by appearances. The cod and chips I had were the best I have had in Cardiff in my 26 years of living in the City. Cod freshly cooked with chips firm on the outside and soft inside. Unlike the soggy chips from certain chippers in Cardiff. It will now be my favorite Chippy in Cardiff. The proprietor was friendly and helpful and told me he had been there for over 20 years. Highly recommended."

"The menu at Malt Cross offers a diverse selection of dishes, with something to suit every taste. I opted for the fish and chips and it was delicious - perfectly cooked fish with crispy batter and golden chips. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that every guest had a wonderful dining experience. I will definitely be returning to Malt Cross next time I find myself in Nottingham. Highly recommend!"
