Bless him! we were gone with a three-year-old and late enough as it was, so what a relief. because it would be so busy and we agreed to the pressure I felt for grateful, but expected that some would not be great. I was wrong! michael was a really friendly, organized and efficient front of the house manager and made us very welcome. stephan then came to take our order and was patient, despite very busy, supportive and knowledgeable. I asked for the meal of the child to come as fast as poss and the pizza was in less than 10 minutes, despite a whole house. that was great. our food came and the staff in the kitchen had made a job, it was all nice and well worth it. serviced hot, plentiful and attractive. both stephan and michael took care of us and made a chance to stop a great one. Thank you for keeping us in, we had an explosion."

"I've always loved Coast to Coast and visited as often as I could while I was at university in Leicester. Even though I've now moved out of Leicester and it's a 1.5 hour drive I always try and visit Coast to Coast because it's one of my favourite restaurants. It's themed on an old American diner and the has the décor and memorabilia to match. Even though they're always busy no matter what time of day you go (testament to how good the food is and how nice a place it is to go) they will always try and accommodate you and the staff are always friendly. If you like classic American diner food this is the place for you, every meal I've had from here has been delicious and has exceeded my expectations. Would always recommend here! P.s. they're slightly pricey and don't have vouchers but it's so worth it!"

"Mixed experience. Had a booking, restaurant still on a Monday afternoon, took 5 minutes for someone to come to us at the desk, and when she did she barely said hello, just looked at us with a scowl. After that sat at table for 15 minutes waiting for someone to eat over. Eventually got order in, waitress didn't even ask if we wanted anything to drink. We were there 30 minutes before we actually got a drink. Not really acceptable in a quiet restaurant, that was closing in less than an hour closes early on a Monday. Food was good when it came, and different waitress by now, who was so much better. So a mixed bag. I know staff difficulties at present, but 10 minutes training in fundamentals would help. As would have someone in charge on the floor to ensure paying customers are being looked after. Poor management from what I saw. Pity, as some of the staff were great, others very poor. "Designed like an American restaurant with a mix of booths and tables but it wasn’t squashed. The waitress was friendly, professional and helpful. The music wasn’t so loud you couldn’t hear each other and you didn’t feel rushed to finish like some places. The food was really good and the portions were sensible. One of our party had a steak which was over done but when mentioned to the waitress she was very apologetic and reduced the bill to compensate. We all had a great time and left very happy with the service and the food on the whole. I would definitely go back just for lunch or dinner with friends."

"Good evening, On Saturday of this month (January), I made a reservation for people at Coast to Coast Restaurant and I always use open table everytime I go there with family, friends or my husband. I also use this (Open table) to any other nice restaurants in London and I have never had a problem. When we got there at the time of our reservation, the guy that was as the Host position or in the Reception welcoming all the people was so rude (he was bald as I don’t have his name). We got there, said we had a reservation, and he said he didn’t have anything then we showed him the confirmation from OpenTable and his words were: “I don’t have anything, sorry”. WHATS IS THAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Is AWFUL. I get there can be some mistakes but it is unacceptable the way he answered to a place we go to enjoy with friends and then this just makes it not want to come back. I go to loads of different restaurants and they have never treated us like that. If they are not gonna have the reservations then don’t promotion your restaurant in OpenTable cause it makes it an inconvenient believing you have something and then realizing you don’t."

"A group of seven who pre ordered ate here last night. The place had a nice atmosphere and great decor. Not particularly busy for a Friday night. The food was tasty and portions fairly generous. The presentation of the food was not great. Its is a pricey place to visit but not bad if you manage to get a deal. Staff were friendly. Unfortunately our bill was wrong we were charged for meals we hadn't had. The error was rectified but it did take a fair while to sort! I will return but not if I had to pay full price."

"I have heard many good things about this place, so I decided to try next time in chester. really like the idea of the menu, as it all the kind of food I like. shared some chicken wings that were in the buffalo sauce fab, I mentioned hot eating so that they had me an extra hot couple that were amazing (nearly mean man killed, although by heat I had a chicken battle with sweet potato fries and coleslaw. all fresh foods and prepared before them! as the fact that they can choose different aromes. my man had a chickening approach that was also delicious and enjoyed talking to the 2 youngs. I hope to visit again soon when I'm next in chester. ps tweeper rings added to the menu would be fab"
