"The order was placed well within the delivery time frame as advertised on the Just Eat app. Two hours later and over forty minutes past the notification of estimated delivery, we rang the establishment. The staff member was rude and unhelpful stating that the delivery times stated by Just Eat were inaccurate. The staff member alleged that the order was complete and ready to be delivered but they were waiting on a delivery driver. Another thirty minutes later and still no delivery. We sought clarification via the app and it advised us that the delivery was changed to 8pm. At 8pm, and still no sign of the delivery, we asked for some money back via the app with the assurance that the order would still be honoured and not cancelled. We subsequently received the notification that our entire order was cancelled. At 8.12 pm I have to make dinner for my 8 month pregnant wife when I was ordering her dinner for 6 as a surprise. The whole thing is an absolute disgrace"

"There is one vegan pizza option available on the menu at this restaurant. It costs £12.50 for a 12-inch pizza, but other sizes are also available. "Well, I was staying away from home due to work and found this Indian restaurant (I do love Curries so looked out for one . Yes, the girl taking orders (I presume the owner's daughter was friendly and very helpful, and the service was quick, probably because there weren't many people in there, but that did surprise me because it was Saturday night. Upon arrival, I sat down and disappeared into the chair (no springs! moved to another seat only slightly better. Had poppadoms, tasted awful but they came out after around 30 seconds so maybe they were yesterday's? Chutney, mint yogurt etc were the worst I've had, very bland, even the onion was watery and tasteless. I wondered how good the main would be. Omg, I hate to say this but it was honestly the worst curry I have ever tasted and I was very disappointed. As other reviews have said, it was dry chewy chicken chunks in a paste. I ate half of it and just wanted to get out of there in the end, got the bill then suddenly they had a power cut! Lights kept flashing on and off as the owner repeatedly kept resetting the breaker which just kept tripping out. The card reader for payment stopped working so I was stuck. After 5 mins the owner brought out candles! Somebody in the restaurant offered to help the owner, and after 20 mins got the lights on. (I hope he was rewarded with a discount but I doubt it very much! I eventually paid but they wanted the itemised receipt they gave me after I paid, but I needed it for work, but eventually sorted it (they let me have the last cm of the receipt! . I left the run down front porch area with two doors, couldn't close the first door, it wouldn't shut. Then the owner just slammed it behind me and it shut, which I thought was a bit rude as I was still there in the porch looking at him! I went through the second door onto the street and the door handle came off in my hand along with that long rod bit as well. Then the Indian owner came running out and took it from me. I couldn't stop laughing all the way home. Will I go back? Absolutely not!"

"I was called yesterday to say that they couldn’t deliver my food as there was road works and it would take 1hr and was trying to get a refund straight away as that was the only money I had left till today when I got paid. I was told I could get the food but it would be cold and I said no as I am not going to pay for cold food the lady I spoke to said it would take 3 to 5 working days then it changed to 5 to 7 working days and I was not happy with this as I then couldn’t order anything else as had no money left I also asked if I could get my order from another shop but there wasn’t one close enough I also asked to speak to the manager that I couldn’t and she went to call someone to try fix the problem and couldn’t solve it and she said I could call and speak to a manager tomorrow and I did but still couldn’t speak to manager and the guy was rude to me when I was explaining what happened and said well I should budget better and said is that all and that he has better things to do so I said to him that he’s being quiet rude and he said I was rude yesterday to the lady. Totally unacceptable don’t order from here."

"I went into Big Johns Selly Oak last night and I was very dissapointed with the customer service. I only ordered a chicken fillet burger meal. I was charged I paid and waited and waited and waited. I told one of the staff it...was daylight when I came in and now it's pitch black outside. I don't think he could speak English. So I asked the guy who served me at the till. His reply was two minutes we are just waiting for chips minutes later I collected my order and when I got back in my car to eat the food the chips were undercooked. I was in Big Johns for exactly minutes. I don't mind waiting for my order but if there is going to be a massive delay, I would appreciate being told. If your after fast food, I would strongly reccomend you avoid this place."

"The pizza I had last night was the final disappointment at this restaurant. I have always been a fan of Papa John's pizza, ever since my first bite at the Holburn street location. However, the franchise on Great Northern Road does not measure up to its sister store. I ordered an XXL pizza, jalapeño bites, a Pepsi, and 5 dips (sour cream). Unfortunately, the pizza was cold, the jalapeño bites were frozen, and the dips I received were the unpleasant garlic ones. To make matters worse, they are now charging 50p per dip, so receiving the wrong ones was a major letdown. I called to address the issue with the dips before realizing my pizza was cold, and asked for the correct ones to be sent. The person on the phone said they would ask the driver but hung up before confirming the address. As expected, the dips never arrived. I have encountered several other problems with this restaurant, so I will not be returning. Papa John's, you have lost a loyal customer. It is important that you address the issues with your franchises that are tarnishing your reputation. A label on the box guaranteeing quality means nothing when the pizzas are consistently cold and taste terrible."

"visited with a group of 18 to the breakfast. the staff was very accommodating to put all of us together at a place, even bringing an additional table when the number of what was expected increased. I had a big frit that filled my plate. coffee and teapots were regularly refreshed without it having to be demanded. the breakfast lasted a few hours, which is normal for our group. the coffee was good as the frit. beautiful clean cozy furnishings. they give me how if they found it helpful."

"Edit 2: As I expected, their offer to help is fake. They have taken my money and not provided the product while pretending to provide customer support. Do not use or trust this business. Edit: Please do not take the response from the owner as a useful resolution. They post these responses to look good, but have made no effort whatsoever to resolve this situation. They still refuse to refund me for a product which I paid for and was not delivered. Pizza was advertised as taking 25 minutes for delivery however the order took 90 minutes. I had to call the store multiple times to get them to actually deliver the order. When it finally arrived one of the pizzas was not what I ordered. The store have refused to provide a refund and have just offered a 'free pizza ' on my next order which is not even free as I would have to pay for delivery again. I also do not see how being forced to shop at this store again is compensation. They failed to deliver the correct product in the advertised time. I am entitled to a refund according to the Consumer Rights Act as this store took payment for a product that was not provided. If you order from this Domino 's expect to be charged full price, regardless of what product is actually delivered or when it shows up. Do not be fooled into thinking they have good service because the reply to reviews here. This is just an attempt to look good in reality they will refuse to offer compensation outside of the publicly view able reviews."
