"As a regular commuter to London for work, myself and my partner stay at numerous hotels. Having stayed at the Pack and Carriage last night I was about to come on to TripAdvisor today to write a great review for this hotel as I was pleasantly surprised with it and thought that we'd found a nice little place that could become a regular stay for us going forward. Having left the hotel early this morning to embark on a busy day of meetings before our return home, I received an embarrassing and somewhat shocking phone call from the hotel not only accusing my partner of smoking in the room but also of smoking weed! My partner does smoke cigarettes and on a few occasions left the hotel in front of the staff to go outside and have a cigarette, however because they found a broken cigarette in the room, they felt it was appropriate to call us and make these appalling accusations. My partner doesn't even smoke in our own house let alone in a hotel and I am disgusted that they thought it was acceptable to not only stereotype my partner but accuse him of taking drugs. This whole situation has left us feeling incredibly embarrassed and very uncomfortable which has hugely tainted what had been a great stay. I think that some customer service would definitely be beneficial so that other customers are never made to feel such a way unnecessarily again."
