"I attempted to order food for my boyfriend's mother today as she does not have internet access and wanted a takeaway delivered during lockdown. It took hours to find an open Chinese takeout restaurant, but when we finally found one on Just Eat, we started placing our order. However, the restaurant suddenly closed while we were navigating the menu. We then tried Uber Eats and found the same takeaway restaurant again. We successfully placed the order and received a confirmation that the food was being prepared. I called my boyfriend's mother to inform her that the order was confirmed and to let me know when it arrived. An hour later, she called me to say that the food never came. I checked the order status on my browser and it said it had been cancelled. I had promised her a meal, and now she was left without dinner at 9:30 at night because the restaurant decided to cancel her order due to a lack of curry sauce. A simple phone call would have been appreciated. Do not order from this restaurant."

"I do keep coming back here because the food is good. Service, however, is abysmal. On too many occasions I’ve had food missing from my order. Yes, the food gets sent out but that’s not much good when you have to wait another 30mins for it. My most recent experience was NYE. Takeaway pre-ordered and paid for at 2pm for delivery at 7pm. I didn’t expect it to arrive dead on time but figured a pre-order should take priority. I called at 7:30pm as my order hadn’t arrived. This call turned out to be a reminder to actually prepare the food, never mind deliver it! It finally arrived at 8:30 pm. Not good enough!!"

"new china gold was my all-time lover shop. it is my whole life that I can remember (24 years to now) that is my local load, I grew up with eating from this place and john (the owner) is the best he does. eating is always high quality, the people I grew up to know from there are always so friendly. my favorite dishes, what I usually get, are sirloin steak chips and exfoliate, chicken curry and rice and I have Chinese style chips with it. Huhn chow mine, pork. Prawn balls are also so beautiful there, they have a large selection on their menu as I mentioned. I never want this place to go."
