"I visited Limoncello to celebrate my friend’s 31st birthday. The name of the restaurant meant a lot to my friend as he used to do part time in a restaurant under the same name in his home country. The food was very nice and I love the atmosphere there. You can see that the patrons are residential and this is one of their go-to places for chill. The owner and waiters held the dessert with candles 3 and 1 and walked to us. It couldn’t feel better! I’m happy to be part of the lovely memories even though he’s leaving soon. Thank you!"

"I popped into Broth3rs on a whim, on the way to the restaurant I intended to go to and I guess I'll never know whether that was a good idea. There's two ways into Broth3rs and I think I came in the back way. I walked through an alleyway, into a courtyard and then down a short hallway to the restaurant. The reservation system was by the door on the other side of the room. It was only awkward briefly as I was seen quickly and directed to a table. I got tap water without asking, which is great and serviced without a fuss. My meal was the Broth3rs pizza and then a slice of vanilla cheesecake. Hands down: the cheesecake was the best course. It's a bit unusual for the titular pizza in an Italian pizza to be beaten by dessert but it was. The pizza was fine, better than the cardboard from the franchises but not on par with the sourdough masterpieces I've become used to. The base felt almost dry and crumbly in comparison but I ate it eagerly. Equally, the topping wasn't heaped but it wasn't sparse either. In constant, the cheesecake came with cream, strawberries and a lovely sauce."

"Things change. I used to recommend this pub. The seating was uncomfortable. The food portion was small. Very. Though my coconut curry was quite tasty, my wife's dish was bland. We were not welcomed with a smile and told bluntly that what we had chosen on the menu was, in fact, not available. Normally that information would be given first. Everyone has an off day. I'm hoping that's what it was. I just think it wasn't worth the expense of getting there and eating there. Some people are obsessed with going out. Must have money to burn. The next day, I cooked veggie burgers in brioche buns, with fresh avocado spread inside the buns, served with M&S triple cooked chips. It was heaven and cost next to nothing. "everything was very good and delicious. I'm just a bit disappointed by my beef stroganoff because it's a French restaurant and I expected it to be served with pasta instead of kartoffeln. also the kartoffelmaic was not seasoned. but overall I recommend the place, beautiful atmosphere, very clean."

"this was the first restaurant that I found when using happy cow to eat, so it should be my first to also be checked! I was drawn to come here through their fascinating vegan options, especially the banana-blood “fish” and chips. it also had a very large selection of beautiful looking eating for my omni woman to choose. the pub itself, when large, but secretly with beautiful decor. we had arrived to arrive immediately and our food did not take too long to arrive once ordered. I ordered a dietary coke and the banane blossom “fish” and chips. When my teller arrived, I was taken back by the fact that the vegan tartar sauce was served in an oyster dish. I hoped it was thoroughly cleaned, but it is also not very sensitive to a vegan mindset. the food itself was charming, but the teig was crazy good and my first time that the bananese blossom impressed me very much! I finished eating all the teller and was very full! when the bill came to my shock I saw that we were calculated for the dietary pepsi (a famous non vegan drink) instead of diet cakes. the restaurant did not tell us that they had this on hahn in the opposite to koks, so without my knowledge or my mood they served me a non vegan drink. I was pretty upset and just wanted to get out, so she didn't know what happened, though I probably would have. I think that both the as well as the entire serviers sauce in an oyster shell shows that some places are ready to provide for vegan (for inclusiveness or profit), but must make sure that they understand every aspekt that goes into it. so I recommend her banan blossom ‘fish’, but be careful was drinks they order there."

"We want to express our gratitude to Christine, Lisa, and the team at The Cranleigh for making our wedding reception in June absolutely amazing. They were incredibly accommodating and helpful in organizing the event. It never felt like they were focused on charging us the highest price, but rather on making sure that everything was tailored to our preferences. Christine went above and beyond to ensure that everything went smoothly on the day and was always available to address any requests or questions. The dinner was delicious and our guests thoroughly enjoyed it, as well as the buffet and midnight snacks (bacon sandwiches and chips). The staff were attentive, polite, and made sure that everyone felt welcome and well-fed. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and highly recommend The Cranleigh for any event. "I stayed here during my 2023 John O'Groats to Lands End ride, when I was accompanied by my wife and 13 year old son, who were acting as support crew. The Sun Hotel is a quirky boutique hotel housed in an historic building with extensive accommodation located above the pub and accessed via a unique flight of stairs and a labyrinth of intriguing corridors set out on different floors. Indeed, as you wander through, you are able to learn much about its character and history from many informative notes displayed on the walls. We shared a snug family room with a camp bed for our son but we were very comfortable. Our ensuite bathroom was clean and bright with a bath, shower and toiletries provided. The usual kettle, tea and coffee were provided but with limited alternative options. Make sure you turn off the provided digital alarm clock before slumbers unless you need an early start! There are truly are some larks out there. The room was a little noisy overnight where it was overlooking the street at the front – a combination of late night revellers and morning deliveries – but this is to be expected when you stay in the heart of a city. Lancaster was literally right on our doorstep. The staff were incredibly welcoming and approachable even before our stay responding promptly to any queries we had. We enjoyed dinner in the pub on the ground floor which was not overly noisy with a good atmosphere and attentive staff. The food was good and inexpensive, especially if you share a platter. Having booked direct with the hotel, our stay included breakfast from a set menu, served in the bar area downstairs. This was extensive ranging from the traditional cooked full English breakfast to many plant based and fruit alternatives, including pancakes, acai smoothie and granola jar. It is advisable to pre book this the night before to reduce waiting times in the morning if you are in a rush. Tea, coffee and fruit juice freely available The hotel is found on a complicated one way system with heavy traffic but well handled by Google. The cycle route approaches on quiet canal path but I did push up a one way street to the hotel rather than cycle a circuitous route around the one way. The only drawback is that there is no onsite parking not a problem if you only have a bike. At the time of our stay, there was paid street parking outside the hotel on the road for up to 1 hr or free overnight from 6 pm until 8 am. We would advise checking Google for parking locations beforehand to find alternatives, especially if the recommended nearby multi storey parking is not suitable because of a roof box, etc. My bike was locked away in a cellar inside, down a steep flight of stairs and only accessible by staff."

"This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and I was impressed by their diverse menu that catered to a range of tastes. The staff were extremely friendly and personable, and really added to the overall experience of dining here. I would rate the service, food, and atmosphere all a 5 out of 5. The price per person for lunch was between £20-30."

"Left here absolutely shellshocked. Had a wonderful meal and were just enjoying our coffees when the (presumably) owner stormed in and went to the kitchen and began screaming at the chef. It was awful, he was so aggressive, shouting and swearing in the kitchen loud enough for us to hear every single word. This went on for a good 4 minutes. No need for that sort of aggression and language whatsoever. The waitress was very embarrassed and kept apologising to us. We felt so uncomfortable we had to leave our coffees and just pay the bill and go. Such a shocking end to a lovely night. Won’t be back."

"Landlord Ivan was the reason for my repeated visits. He is a singular man. Also the 'regulars ' were welcoming and friendly. The best Guinness anywhere. Sadly, I no longer have reason to travel thousands of miles from Australia to Northern Ireland, (the person I was visiting has no wish to see me again) but if I am ever that way again, I would call in for the craic. "Came for lunch with family and had a wonderful meal. From the minute we entered COVID procedures were followed which made us feel at complete ease when dining. The waitress was very friendly and we were very well attended to. The food was hot, good size portion and incredibly tasty. All food was fresh and very well presented. We couldn’t fault a thing. "My family decided to dine at this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. The bill for four people came to over £180, including a 10% service charge. Although the food was delicious, I found it to be quite expensive. I also disliked the fact that the service charge was included without any prior notice. Additionally, the drinks were overpriced."

"After booking through OpenTable, I received a call to confirm my reservation. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was greeted by delightful smells and a great atmosphere. We were led to our table where we were informed about the specials and had our choice of wine and water brought to us. The staff, who were happy and friendly, went out of their way to accommodate a family group next to us who were ordering various dishes from the menu. We opted for the steak meal for two, which was cooked perfectly, and enjoyed a bottle of Rose. I highly recommend trying the Dianne Sauce with your steak. The dessert was also delicious and the attentive and cheerful staff were more than willing to cater to our every need. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant and will return next time I am in the area. Thank you for a wonderful evening."
