"I ordered chicken and Hakka-style pork. The food was served hot and was delicious. The best part was that I received complimentary appetizers, which was a lovely surprise. I’m not quite sure what dishes I’ll try next time. I’m surprised there are so few reviews; there should definitely be more, along with pictures, to help future diners choose their meals."

"fantastic restaurant, the buffet style is, but let them get out of the menu, so if they just want to eat deer and pancakes all night, they can. a set price for everything they can eat, simply choose what they want and it comes freshly cooked, in the opposite to get something that has been cooked before an hour and is insecure a heating. beautiful atmosphere and nice personal"

"An absolute gem of a Chinese restaurant. Went there on Saturday evening, no problem getting a table and had the order buffet which you order and is made for you, rather than having dishes with the food out already. Nice and friendly staff and although there didn't seem to be any musac playing in the background the atmosphere was still pleasant. I would come here again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4"

"Due to having to move out of my area due to I tried Lam's Chinese. The food is quite expensive for what it is, but was reasonable in taste. The items I had were rather small portions; I got the hot appetizer (for ..at nearly for that I got and a half rib (which taste really nice, just not enough a few pieces of prawn toast (again nice, not enough), small crab claw (were okay), and a small mound of seaweed (quite sweet! The Chicken balls were the best out of the order; the sweet and sour source was very nice (nice and thick !! The special chow-mien was nothing to write home about to be honest; I did find it father bland and dry I ate it the following day and after really warming it up in the microwave it tasted better !! On the whole, Lam's is ok."

"I am fortunate to have two excellent Chinese takeout restaurants in Kirkham. The food is always of high quality and reasonably priced. I have never encountered any problems. However, I must deduct a star because they are not very accommodating to allergies, which is disappointing as I would frequent them more often if they were."

"Been going to the Jade Garden for a long time and although it has gone through some changes in recent years, they still deliver good quality food. I was surprised at the poor reviews left on here but as they say, people are much more willing to leave negative reviews than positive ones. I can't remember the last time I had bad food from here so it's only fair to say that. For anyone who doesn't realise what this place is, it's a sort of cross between a chippy and a Chinese. That means you can get a pie and chips (and the chips are probably the best chip-shop style chips in Cwmbran) or you can have crispy duck and chow mein and things like that. The portions are generous and well packaged. They open through the day too and offer lunchtime specials which are like smaller versions of the mains but at a cut price. They never used to offer a delivery service but now they have a couple of delivery drivers. Generally speaking, the food is well cooked, the staff are friendly and polite, they confirm your order back to you when you place it, and then confirm the contents of the bag when they're packing it up in front of you. In the years I've been going here I've honestly known one or two mistakes been made with an order, and when you bring it to the staff's attention, they're quick to rectify it. We had an evening meal from here last night which I phoned through just before 6pm and it was ready 15 minutes later. Got it home, dished up and was 100% satisfied with the food. Perfect on a miserable rainy Monday night. The only criticism I have, and why I can't give a 5 out of 5, is the prices. Like many other places they've ramped their prices up since covid times and it's getting silly. Still, it's decent food at ok prices with good service from the team."
