"I have left a review at Google already but I really want to spread the words as I honestly think this place should be known by more people who love good food and a nice cozy atmosphere in Cambridge. We came here for a meal and we were not disappointed. In fact, this is probably the only restaurant in Cambridge that I would return to! We really wanted to have pork knuckles, we found this restaurant which does that and had really good reviews so we thought we would give it a go. We pre ordered the pork knuckle (need to preorder at least 24hrs in advance . We arrived at the place and the first impression was it is a very cosy and homey place. Nice and simple decoration, very comfortable atmosphere. We were greeted and seated immediately. They already know that we pre ordered the knuckle, we also ordered the salmon and spinach dumplings as we heard they were good. When the pork knuckle arrived, we were pleasantly surprised the portion was very generous and looked very tasty! Part of the knuckle skin was crispy (so crispy like what you can expect from a roasted suckling pig! and part of them was soft which is full of flavour and collagen! The meat inside was juicy and hot. It came with one side which we ordered the chips and we also have pickled cabbage which was home made, not overly sour and paired well with the knuckle! The sauces that came with it were mustard and horse radish. I don't usually like these sauces as they are normally too strong and all you can taste is sour, but these which looked home made were not overpowering so you can actually taste the freshness of the original raw ingredients, again they paired well with the pork knuckle. We also tried the salmon and spinach dumping and the texture was great and had a nice balance of ingredients within it. Nice balance of flavour. We wanted to try the desserts too but were too full! We saw the other table ordering them and they looked tasty and the portion was generous. We will give it a go next time : What we really like is that everything came piping hot, well cooked and nothing fancy pure good food. The staff were friendly, genuine and left you sufficient room to chat. Nice atmosphere for conversations. A jar of water was provided to us so we didn't have to constantly ask for it. Nothing to complain about really! Everyone should know about this place! We will return!"

"I know, that the owners of this place don’t fancy any review which does not say how perfect everything is. And I know they will fight back writing nasty things. But I think if they could listen a bit they could get a point of growth from the feedback. We are regulars at their other branch – Little Georgia Islington and this is an amazing place with lovely hospitality and warm hearted people. I felt in love with the culture amazing people of Georgia share and the owners also made picture perfect and very cosy picture of this same culture on Instagram. In reality it is very different and although they have same name these restaurant are completely on the opposite ends of the spectrum. I felt ashamed, as I brought a friend from Georgia there, we had a company of 9. Food was very average. To be fair – chachapuris, knhinkali and some mezes were good, but lobio and badrijnis were blant. We specifically asked, if they do Mtsvadi my friends who have been here warned me, that it is definitely not mtsvadi on the charcoal, but some strange dish). But I asked the waiter if this was the real thing and he told all of us that this is real Mtsvadi. I have tried it and it was awful oven baked pork with mayonnaise!!!??? My Lord. This was a pure lie straight in our faces. Besides staff was arrogant, uninterested and rude. Some members of staff clearly miss proper hospitality training taking away plates from your nose and when your turn the food is gone and acting like big bosses of the place who just tolerate you. Despite the fact that on the website it says that the companies over 8 people can stay for 2.5 hours not regular 2 hours) we were unapologetically told to pay and leave, as the waiter said “there is other reservation of 8 is about to come in 10 minutes and this is their rule” so the info on the website is contradictory). 10 minutes prior to that he sold us 4th bottle of wine. No sorry, no empathy just money! I forgot something in the premises and return after we left approx 30 minutes later). The table only had 6 people, not 8. So another lie potentially. Our Gerogian friend was pretty shocked and said he is ashamed of this. Our bill was over 600, we paid over 60 in tips I regret this a lot. If they would have treated people nicely I would have not written this review. But the lie in the face clients are not stupid), mediocre food and very poor service made me want to warn others."

"it is a balmy septembernacht in london and my flight had just arrived from berlin. all the contests had warned me so far to smoke as if the ice age comes, but there I sat in a T-shirt comfortable but hungry. Of course, smartphones choose our meal in these days and instead of wandering around possibly with a less than hearty meal, I flicked through the four square app. I came over a seemingly decent restaurant with a 8.9 rating that was only 0.2 miles away. the decision was made and I was scared to the “Chicken Shop”. the cake “Chicken Shop” back to home in Australia in style strong pictures of a small family business with delicious rotisserie huh, but in a dirty view of a load. Typically there would be cold metal furniture, greasy flowing floors and a flickering blue insect light on the back, which intermittently flushes, as it takes out the bugs that did not land in the food. it's fast and easy, not pretty, but it's sure how the hell is delicious. That's exactly what I expected when I arrived at the location kentish town. I couldn't find the entry first. I was hopeless looking for an oversized fluorescent window with a friendly looking international load owner behind a chrome counter top. Instead, I finally noticed a doorway with a minimalist sign above that shows the word “Chicken Shop”. I started to hear the sounds of emotional music when I walk down the polished wooden stairs, which on a dimly illuminated restaurant floor with designer furniture, candles, stylish decoration and a well-stocked bar. it was certainly not the picture I had on the way forward. the waiter greeted me with a warm smile and explained that the menu sits on the wall on the back, similar to the chicken shops at home. the concept has made sense. they took the classic idea of a family-run almost food shop, but added the flair of the fine-smeller. the place radiates class, but it does not lose its friendly local huh business feeling. I was excited about my order of half a chicken and watched how the chefs raised 24 hours of marinated, steamed and rotisserie roasted birds in the open kitchen. the hunch came ready in a takeaway polystyrene box. I made myself eager to the top to find a nice place through a canal or in a park to shove on the tasty quality. the odour that was overcome by my carry bag took over me and I sat on a bordstein as if there were no tomorrow. the box flew open in holy Grail fashion to see the delicious looking golden brown, juicy huh they hope to see from here to timbuktu. during the meal, I was only plastered for a second to mourn the loss of a piece that I had dropped during my trance as eating condition. I didn't want to waste the tasty eating and offered it to a passing puppy. the owner chased her dog disgusting. if only this pooch knew what he missed. I'm done and licked the house made hot soße clean of my fingering. finger lick good they say? in any case!"
