"The restaurant is situated in the Kimpton Hotel, and the decor and atmosphere are truly stunning. It’s a beautiful old building that adds a sense of history to the experience. The dining is tapas-style, with 3-4 dishes per order, and both the food and drinks were delicious. Service was a bit slow, likely due to the restaurant being quite busy, but this didn’t detract from the experience, as the space is very spacious. I can't wait to return and try their Sunday roast!"

"The first course arrived promptly, but it was a significant disappointment. We ordered half a duck and pancakes, expecting a reasonable portion, but what we received was the tiniest serving imaginable. It bore no resemblance to the half duck we usually enjoy at other restaurants. What we had was dry, bland, and not worth the £30 price tag. To make matters worse, our main courses were served before they had cleared away the plates from our first course, leaving us with no space on the table for the entrees. We had to literally request that they clean the table so we could fit the main dishes. The restaurant was quite empty, and it felt like they wanted us to leave as quickly as possible so they could close up. When we voiced our concerns about the food and service, the staff laughed at us, which was incredibly unprofessional. It's no wonder the restaurant was so empty. Located in the Dorsett Hotel in a busy area of London, none of the six of us plan to return. Although we had considered staying at the hotel on our next trip due to its affordability, this experience has ensured that we will not be returning, as it poorly reflects on the hotel’s overall reputation."

"chocolate frozen yogurt with toppings of strawberries and granola. The yogurt was creamy and delicious, and the toppings were fresh and abundant. The service was friendly and efficient, and the portion size was generous. Overall, a great experience at this frozen yogurt shop!"

"This place served decent food. We attended just after 4 pm and it was not too crowded. The Seafood Linguini was nice and I appreciated the way in which it was presented. There could have been more King Prawns and Squids. I do concede that these items are expensive, but the price for meal was significant. The Chefs prepare the meals in the open, which is nice to look at, although this must be intimidating for them. I would have likely to have watched them more closely, but I did not want to stare. Additionally, I am concerned that some of the items on the menu are labelled as “vegetarian” when they are not. For example, Parmesan cheese is not a vegetarian item. In relation to the menu, the 7 Cheeses Pizza is presented as a vegetarian item, but the ingredients speak otherwise. Parmesan cheese uses an enzyme which is found in the lining of a goat’s or a calf’s stomach. I am not a Vegetarian, so my concern is for others who have made a significant commitment not to consume any meat products. The menu itself has lots of wonderful items, but it is prudent for some things to be raised. The Server made an error in the order. People make mistakes and one of the other members of staff spoke to us about it. The Server apologised sincerely for the error. It was rectified immediately. Yes, I concede that mistakes can be made but it is also equally important as to how they are dealt with and the members of staff dealt with it immediately and efficiently."

No idea but it just doesn’t cut it Again I want to hail the staff as they where great (but again why put me on a tiny table when there where tons of tables Hey ho .."

"Came especially for the vegan menu (I’m vegetarian as I heard good things about it. Drove from Lisburn all the way to Parkgate and had 2 very enjoyable nights. First night I had the cauliflower popcorn (bit too salty for my liking and the sweet potato roulade (amazing! . My husband had the soup of the day (very nice and the risotto (little bit stodgy, looked as if cooked too quick . For dessert I had the apple/berry crumble which was very nice and husband had sticky toffee (also gorgeous! . Decaf oat latte’s at the end sealed the deal. Just delighted to be able to order a good decaf coffee! Next evening returned with a friend. I had the salted chilli stir fry (verrry salty, but that’s what it says on the tin and the cauliflower pie. The pie was a bit of a let down. The gravy was overbearing, essentially, the whole dish tasted of gravy. I would have preferred to get it in a dish on the side (like with the roulade to add the amount I prefer myself. Same desserts again this evening, both again very nice. Service was ok, young girls mainly and you could tell some were a bit inexperienced but that really didn’t impact us. Food came out super quick! I will def be back, altho I won’t be ordering the pie again and I hope next time I will be able to try the “scallops” as they were sold out both nights (sat 6pm and sun 7.30pm and they just sounded amazing! If your hesitating to go for the vegan menu, don’t!! It’s the best vegan offering I have encountered to date. I really hope they keep it up."

"Chenestons is a wonderful find! We couldn’t have had a more superb experience. Leo and Julia are really excellent – their customer service is outstanding. All the other staff were equally superb, warm and genuine, I didn’t catch their names. It really is a special place and I was so excited because some of my favourite music is Glenn Miller and Al Bowlly and this was gently playing in the background which enhances the 1930s and 40s feel of the place. I was in utter heaven! The food was wonderful. We had help choosing our wine and Leo understood exactly what we liked and what would match our food and he didn’t oversell or make us choose a really expensive bottle. We appreciated this very much. The cauliflower starter was exquisite as was my smoked salmon. My halibut was gorgeous and my fiancé’s chicken pie was perfect. We visited for lunch before the Proms that evening and it really was a day we will never forget. Thank you so much. I can’t wait to come back."

"It was okay. The food was just okay, quite bland really. The service was okay although one of the servers rolled their eyes at us several times and we noticed them doing it when walking away from other tables. It is reasonably priced and the decor is nice but it’s a very small room and it was packed so the noise level was really bad. Basically just a small room full of people shouting at each other to be heard. One of the servers was really nice, I think they had an Irish accent? I wish I got their name because I feel bad leaving this review when they were really great!"

"This restaurant is housed within the excellent Four Seasons Hampshire hotel. Unfortunately though this restaurant seriously lets the hotel down. We found the service to be very good, and the ambiance of the restaurant is lovely, but the food leaves so much to be desired....There is minimal choice on the menu (even most small restaurants and pubs have a more extensive and varied menu), so if you’re staying in the hotel for quite a few days as we were, you would very quickly become bored with eating the same things. However, the main issues are the portion sizes, the extremely poor value for money, and the way some of the food is cooked. As an example, one evening I ordered dover sole. When it arrived it was such a small piece that I could have eaten it in three mouthfuls. And on top of that it was hard and overcooked. These three mouthfuls of overcooked fish cost I have no problem at all paying that price, but I do expect the fish to be cooked properly and for the portion to be of a normal and acceptable size. We did bring this issue to the attention of the staff and I must say they addressed the situation extremely professionally, but the enjoyment of our meal had unfortunately already been marred. We originally had no intention of eating anywhere else other than the hotel restaurant, but after two nights eating at the Wild Carrot we’d had enough. We then found a great pub (The Queens Head) just a little way down the road where the menu choices were far greater, the food was cooked perfectly, the service was extremely friendly and efficient, and the portion sizes meant it was much better value for money. We weren’t surprised to see another couple at this pub who were also staying at the Four Seasons. They were eating at the pub for the exact same reasons as we were. If you’re in the area or staying at the Four Seasons, you definitely won’t be disappointed if you eat at The Queens Head pub. I did find it somewhat bizarre that eating in a pub was so much better in every way than eating in the restaurant of the five star hotel that we were staying in. The Wild Carrot really does need to up its game."

"First time here to meet up with brother and sister in law for lunch 21.12.23 Place was busy, I put this down to festive season. First impressions were favourable. Warm greeting and as much time as we needed to decide on our order. Food arrived. Oh dear frozen oily deep fried calamari, not brilliant but edible, main course arrived , again not brilliant but edible. When the side order of onion rings eventually arrived half way through main course, oily and pretty gross to be honest. I wasn't in the mood to raise any issues because I suspect this is as good as it gets here. Won't be running back anytime soon personally but my brother and sister in law live locally and think it's OK. In summary I would urge you to try this venue for yourself and not make your choice based on my comments. Who knows, maybe we just caught them on an off day! "Absolutely amazing desserts and setting but awful service. We were a large group and the youngest (8 yr old) didn’t get her dessert with the rest of ours. We had trouble getting staff attention and eventually they started making her’s. She was sitting sad so everyone gave her parts of theirs and she was disappointed. She had got hers after everyone else had finished. The waiter had just laughed and said that it was on the list he had given the kitchen. Not even an apology! Also so slow to take our plates away. Our waiter seemed like he couldn’t be bothered "

"We went for breakfast on a Saturday around 11:30am and I put 1 star for service because unfortunately there was only 1 waiter there doing everything bless him, must have only been like 18/19 years old. Management you need to understand that heavenly desserts will be busy on a Saturday morning especially when there’s a Christmas market so make sure you have enough staff on the floor and in the kitchen because we waited 30 minutes to have our order taken and when we eventually got our food the waffles were cold and they’re usually warm and crispy. We saw quite a few people leave as well. I’m not bashing heavenly desserts because it is fantastic but the management need to be more organised"

"I visited this restaurant for the first time and found it to be rather small, but with amazing decor and service. The food selection was lovely and reasonably priced. I ordered the chicken and waffles, cheesy fries, and Mac and cheese. The Belgian waffles were too sweet for my liking, so I couldn't finish them. The chicken, fries, and Mac and cheese were delicious. I would definitely return to try a different branch (as this one is far from me) and explore more options on the menu, maybe the all day breakfast."

"I had an outstanding experience at this place! It was my son's birthday celebration, and we booked a table for a small group. The food and drinks were fantastic! I must express my heartfelt gratitude to Tom, our excellent host, who took care of all our needs. A big thank you also goes to Oscar behind the bar and the kitchen team – the food was not only on time but also superb! Our visit here was truly memorable, making it a fantastic day out! Highly recommended! We will back!; Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
