"A lovely old inn but food was really disappointing. The quality was very poor. The roast beef was inedible. The veg poorly cooked. The mussels were very nice in the creamy sauce but the bread served was just a sliced baguette not the ‘crusty bread’ described and expected. The venison pie was very nice but the veg nothing special. Overall the inn is very pricey for not very good food. We are happy to pay a higher price for quality, home cooked food. VERY disappointing. The staff did give us a discount for the inedible roast beef which was good. The Stein Inn wasn’t for us but may be for you. Thank you."
