"Over the years, I've noticed a significant decline in service at many Subways I've visited. Orders often feel rushed, closing times are inconsistent with what’s posted on the door, and the staff often seem unhappy. However, my experience at the Subway with Kumar completely changed my perspective. I drove by and saw it was open near closing time (9:50 PM), and I was warmly greeted by Kumar, who was serving another customer but still made me feel welcome. He had a constant smile and reassured me that it wasn't too late (as someone who has worked in the industry, I know how frustrating late customers can be). For once, I wasn't rushed, and Kumar even encouraged me to try different options at each station. He was incredibly patient with my specific requests, making the entire experience delightful. I would gladly drive past my three other Subways just to be served by him again! I truly hope they appreciate him. All the Subways in Bristol could learn from him, especially the one near the air balloon roundabout.
*UPDATE* I take back my praise! Today, I was informed by the staff that they close at 9:45 PM to clean up, despite the posted hours stating they are open until 10 PM. When I asked why there's a discrepancy, the staff member apologized but explained it was too late because he had already put everything away. This was precisely at 9:45 PM, which indicates they were already starting to clean up at least by 9:30 PM. It just doesn’t add up and is detrimental to the brand.
