"There's surprisingly few pubs in the capital that serve really good food. In pure number terms, there are over 7,000 pubs in London yet only The Harwood Arms has a star. "After not visiting this fried chicken restaurant for a few years due to lockdowns and the pandemic, we decided to book a table as a birthday treat. We made sure to book in advance to secure a table for the time we needed. The restaurant had all the standard COVID prevention measures in place, such as masks, dividers, hand sanitizer, and social distancing, which made us feel more comfortable. The service was good, with drinks being taken promptly and we never felt rushed throughout the evening. Our order included a Korean BBQ burger, Nashville Hot wings, 9 chicken tenders, a buffalo chicken burger, assorted fries and sides. The meal was tasty, with my fried burger not tasting greasy. The cocktails were decent, although the Chicken Rum lacked the flavor I remembered. We ended the evening with Churros and chocolate sauce, which hit the spot. Overall, it was a good experience, possibly helped by our excitement at getting out of the house for the evening."
