"We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant with great, friendly service. The staff even brought a dog bed and water dish to our table, which we and our pooch appreciated. The menu had a lot of variety and the food was delicious (the loaded pommes were a must-try). The prices were reasonable and it was evident that the restaurant tries to cater to everyone. The restaurant is run by a husband-wife duo, with the husband as the chef and the wife managing the front of the house. They do a fantastic job. We will definitely be returning the next time we are in the Cirencester area. Thank you!"

"Firstly let me say the front of house staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately that is where the great service ends. We booked for the Sunday roast but we were only given the main menu. After sitting trying to get someone’s attention for over 30 minutes we decided to just look up the menu online. Finally managed to flag someone down for service and ordered a starter, beef roast and a drink each beer and a wine) . Starter arrived 15 mins later but still no drinks. Finished the starter and had to get up to find a member of staff for our drinks. Really poor service from the wait staff. We ordered cauliflower cheese on the side which arrived 10 minutes before the actual roast. The food was delicious and one of the best roasts in the area but the service for the price was terrible."

"I had a wonderful experience dining here for the first time. The menu was outstanding. We started with mussels, frito misto, calamari, and beetroot hummus, which were all fantastic. The main courses were equally delicious: we enjoyed the "burger of burgers," whole plaice, barberry duck, and minted pea risotto. We paired our meal with plenty of wine and topped it off with a raspberry crème brûlée and tawny port. The total came to about £30 per person. The portion sizes were generous, and the service was friendly and attentive. I'm definitely planning to return and bring some friends along!"

"On the first warm, sunny weekend of the season, we celebrated a friend's birthday at this restaurant. We had a table on the covered terrace upstairs. Unfortunately, it overlooks the railway, but there was plenty of sunlight in the afternoon. The food was delicious, especially the vegetable dishes, steaks, and bone marrow engravings. "I am the first to admit that I am biased. the owners have been known for many years by me and I played a small part in the original garden renovation project, so I realize the quick attention to detail that has gone to create the environment here. that said, even if these prejudices did not exist, block would still be my place in brighton. my prejudices are overwhelming by the fact that it is the place where I met my wife. we left brighton many years ago, but whenever we come back for a naughty weekend, we always find ourselves out here in the beer garden. it's just a nice place to be with such a chilled mood over it. there are always interesting craft beers on tap and last time we visited also eaten and it was very tasty and cheap. the personal is always friendly and the place is immaculately clean. block will always have a special place in my life, like cliché, as that sounds, but from good reason. I can't imagine that I'm the only one who feels like this place is great."
