"Love this restaurant took my son there for his birthday the staff came out with a cake and sang happy birthday. It was lovely to sit in the garden looking towards the restaurant but it looks like a bit of a building site as there are working on the garden. But the staff and food are amazing I always recommend this place to my friends and look forward to seeing the garden finished"

"Food was great and the value was good. The staff however were rude. We had booked a table on Wednesday the 4th the evning before the lockdown. We knew 10 would be closing time so arrived at 730 planned to be finished by 930 to give time to leave. Staff couldn't get us out fast enough! A rice order hadn't arrived at the table when asked about it, the bowl of rice was thrown onto the table! We were asked if we wanted to pay at 815 before the food was finished, asked agin at 830 before the drinks were finished. We were going to order 2 more rounds but when the bill was placed on the table at 835 without us asking for it. We decided to leave after we finished our drinks. When we spoke to the manager he shrugged saying the place needed to be cleaned and shut by 10. There were not many left in the restaurant at that time as they too were hurried out. No please, no thank yous from any staff and we were given the evil eye by the waiter twice. The food was good but not out standing enough to ever go back. Shame as its walking distance from my home. I have never had such rude staff in my life. We are all under stress in this lockdown time but we can at least be civil"

"Had been looking forward to trying this place as had heard great reviews but unfortunately very disappointed. Ordered chilli garlic Prawns which did not contain peppers as described and the sauce tasted like chilli ketchup. Squid starter was the most disappointing, the batter was coming off the squid resulting in a congealed sauce which was thick anyway.. Shame about texture as sauce was flavoursome. . The butter chicken was lovely but quite spicy which is surprising as this dish is usually mild, unfortunately no indication of spice level on website otherwise would have asked for spice to be reduced. Placed order over the phone but now wished I placed it on website as they didn't apply correct meal deal, when asked I was advised the butter chicken was not classic curry and therefore not included in deal. Only checked when I returned home and this was one of the dish choices on website for the meal deals. This resulted in over charging me which is bit dishonest."

"Not the best experience. No parking to start with. Inconsiderate drivers. Service was overly keen. Kept interrupting our conversation various times asking is everything okay constantly throughout the experience. Manager offered as we walked in some water and poppadoms in a complimentary way. Later to find out he charged us a ridiculous price. Food was very overpriced for the quality. The variety was very limit and the staff didn’t now about the menu when asked questions. The manager was sneaky and added service charge also without asking us or telling. Place is small. Go owl and pussycat if you want good Indian food at a fraction of the price. I wouldn’t recommend unless you into a show room restaurant rather the quality and service. Thumbs down for me over hyped."

"I have had Afternoon Tea at Spice Merchant in Cookham on a couple of occasions and very much enjoyed the experience. However, Henley was an entirely different kettle of fish. We had both veg and meat versions and much of what was offered on the menu was not present, with no alternatives being offered. NO ginger potatoes. NO pakoras. NO scones. NO selection of teas. Vegetable wrap was filled with paneer, not vegetables; an issue since two other dishes were already paneer. Orange and chocolate cake was dry and hard. Peas in samosa filling were undercooked and hard. I took friends especially for the experience and frankly, it was was an embarrassment."

"I have been a fan of this restaurant for over a decade since I first discovered it. Located in the heart of London, it is easy to find and close to our hotel. The area feels safe even at night, with many pubs and people around. The restaurant has a street-level dining area for those with mobility issues, as well as a smaller back room and a downstairs area for larger groups. The food is top-notch and reasonably priced for central London. The staff have always been friendly and accommodating, which is why we always choose to dine here when in London for the night."

"I loved it! Thank you, the owners changed from earlier. so much better now. they have taken care of me and my mother, who we don't like wobble and garlic. so that they took care of us. the food was so delicious. it was lush. I would definitely go back there and the staff is so friendly and helpful. we were surprised there on Saturday birthday of my fathers and they were with everything on the ball. I can't wait to have an apology for it again. eating was delicious and great atmosphere!"

"we fall in here while we were on business in solihull as we had already tried all the other curry houses in the city. this is now our way to the solihull curry house! the staff was great and very helpful at the recommended of dressing as well as offering first-class service. the dishes prepared in the open kitchen in the ground floor were fab and completely tasteful. take a bottle to have an open kitchen with all the cooking on the show, but it goes along to show how good eating... nowhere to hide."

"We had a lovely evening with my wife and daughters at this restaurant. It had been a while since our last visit. The staff was friendly and followed Covid safety measures. They were knowledgeable and took great care of us. The food was perfect, with fresh and flavorful spices in all our curries, served at a comfortable pace. "Had dinner at the Spice Merchant in Beaconsfield for a girls night out. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were all treated as royalty! The food was delicious great taste, quality, presentation and good portion sizes. The location of the restaurant is on the high street and it is huge inside with seating in the back garden area too. I could not faulty anything and definitely deserves a 5/5 rating!!!"

"beautiful place to dinate with an impressive ambiente. and very high quality napali eat. we just love it. would like to visit again to explore more food quality is undoubtedly great. but the only complain we felt that parts are a little less to share. the starter are not divided between 2-3 adult. we like momos, but felt portions were a little less the king pron curry dish is beautiful. the total place is beautiful. good royal feeling, the service was also brilliant. good place to dine and hang out with family and friends. will be 8 out of 10th place to improve the size of the meal to a bit increase, compared to the cost of the items. and increase customer base..we did not find much in the midday hours compared to the size of the place."

"Dinner for 2. Return visit as I had been previously during the Eat out promotion with a friend and food had been excellent. Food was still very good although we thought the mixed vegetable platter starter was a bit greasy. Staff were very good and we had a nice evening. We would still recommend as there are some nice choices of the menu that differ from our usual Indian."

"9 of us had just a meal here, absolutely brilliant, staff can not be enough for them and so friendly, the restaurant is nice and clean and spacious sitting places so that you did not sit on each other. eating is the best thing I cost in a very long time and they will certainly get a good portion if they can't make it, all they can take it home, they also do takeaways. there were no complaints from our party and at the end we got lutcher and a basil potion."

"This Indian restaurant is always fantastic and one of my favorites in the area. The staff is very friendly and attentive, ensuring that your glass is never empty for long. I had the deluxe platter with a wide variety of chicken and lamb dishes, accompanied by a generous portion of rice. This is perfect for those who like to try different curries or have trouble deciding on a dish. The chicken curry was beautifully flavored and the meat was very tender. We prefer our food on the spicy side, and the staff was happy to accommodate our request for extra chili. The naan bread was always served hot and soft, with just the right amount of butter. The portions are generous and I appreciate how knowledgeable and patient the waiters are in helping me navigate the menu. We have dined here with family, friends, as a couple, and even hosted a private banquet and birthday party in the side area without any issues. The prices are average and on par with similar restaurants. The thali we ordered was one of the more expensive items at around £17, but the selection was well worth it. We even had leftovers to take home the next day. Overall, the dining experience is consistently excellent here."
